Jackthestripper Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 I personally liked the intensity of joining an online game and having to find an ammo refill location to refill your ammo and at the same time watching all around you in case someone shoots you or attacks you. Of course, they could change it to a system like GTA 5 online where you have to go into a store and purchase weapons/ammo. The plus is that when you buy your ammo on GTA 5 online, it's there when you play the next time, whereas in RDR you had to refill it all again. Also, you'd run the risk of people waiting for you outside like they do in GTA 5 when you're in a store or your apartment which is kind of annoying sometimes. Any thoughts as to what you'd change or keep the same?
Archbell Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I thought ammo refills worked fine in RDR Multiplayer but I wouldn't be surprised if Rockstar went the same route as GTA online with RDR2 by making all clothing and gun stores in Singleplayer accessible in Online. I do hope they keep every player's ammo and explosives capacity low, there's no danger of running out of ammo or explosives in GTA Online because you can carry a ridiculous 9,999 rounds on most guns and if your far from a gun store you can buy your ammo and explosives on the Interaction Menu. You could carry 100 rounds in RDR Multiplayer and you got given ammo upon respawning unlike GTA Online, even if they made a ammo system similar to GTA Online in RDR2 I personally wouldn't change the ammo and explosive capacity from what players had in RDR Multiplayer as it kept people from camping for too long and stopped people spamming explosives unlike GTA Online. 1

Agreed on all points...it would make sense and be realistic to have to go into a shop and buy ammo, but I also like the way they did it in RDR. I also like that in RDR when you kill someone you can pick up their weapons and ammo.
SNAK3S Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Yeah the shop system worked great in GTA and I would prefer to see that in RDR2 online. I mean they can take it one step further and opt out on dropped ammo making it harder so this way you need to keep an eye on your supplies at all times so you know what you have.

Well if someone dies and has ammo, it only makes sense that you can pick it up. Just like you can pick up a weapon or money. Ya know?
redscrew Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Yeah if someone dies and has ammo it is a given you should be able to collect it just like you collect money. I don't think this will be any different from GTA V at all. It would not make sense to change anything that works so well like this.
Nima021King Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 I'm just wondering how they're going to handle the horse selling thing

Buy them off of ranchers or get them out in the wild, maybe even steal someone else's horse.
Looney Dan Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 I'll be fine with them sticking to what they did in GTA. I don't see why they would change from that. You want people to run out of ammo and have to find it or buy it.
