Take-Two has requested the RedDeadOnline.com domain from a GTAForums user who got the domain last year, they gave him time until 5pm EST on September 21 to agree with what they want.

If you ask me I would say they don't wanna use this domain at all they just wanna show that people can't use a straight name like this for their sites

I don't understand how they can just take it though. Shouldn't they have to buy it like everyone else? I mean it is their fault for not getting it sooner if you ask me.

They have a trademark over the term "Red Dead". It's like someone going and registering GoogleGames.com or something, or selling a device called a "Sony Portable HDD".

Yeah if you trademark any words or phrases then you are paying for the legal ownership of said words or phrases so that no one else can use it or the likeness there-in or of. They can take it by force if they choose to.

LOL I love when people think they are being slick by snagging domains like this. You wasted time and money my dude. They will get it from this guy and he will not be a penny richer. Sucker.

My thoughts exactly. Sucks but if it is trademarked, they paid for them rights to said words. I want to trade mark things just so I can annoy people with it. lol

Yep, T2 can "take" it.

It's called domain or cyber squatting.  Unless he was using it for a website of his own, he won't have much luck keeping it.
