Its extremely dumbed down, which killed any sort of pvp communities from actually being born. So its more then half no caring about it. The bulk of its player base just doesn't care. If R* added actual hosted pvp lobbies. And had lobby options for the host to toggle. And The choice to play between auto aim or free aim. (like GTA 4, RD, GTA V) . There would actually be PVP communities and actual competition. And players would care. I agree entirely, not sure if you played the previous red dead but my crew and I loved that community. We just haven't really cared about interacting with other clans/crews because there is simply no point in it what so ever as you stated PvP is so dumbed down and no free aim so literally no competition at all. Now with their auto aim horseback I rarely ever see anyone off their mount, its 4.00 a horse and infinite spawning of them lol
Darkvicar Posted March 24, 2019 Author Posted March 24, 2019 So how will you flag? Hopefully the wheels of the derail a thread have fallen off.

Ya I miss those days. The old red dead was not rich in content. But it was so much fun. Everyone lined up. "DRAW".. I get some serious flash back when playing in certain areas of gun fights I had from the previous online version of Red Dead. Ooooh how I would chop off my left nipple just for a Hardcore Free Roam. 1

Moosh89 Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 I actually really like how it is currently, so I'll probably flag as Offensive mainly. I give a wide swath around hostile "raspberries" but most of the time it's the damn "blueberries" that kill me for no reason. Sometimes I get lucky though and meet a friendly one who'll greet me with a wave and be on their way. I usually play with a headset but muted so I can hear players chat. I ran into a blueberry who I helped clear a hideout. Turns out it was a little boy probably around 9 years old (similar age to my nephew). At first I was a bit annoyed that somebody had their 9 year old kid on a Mature game, online with a headset unsupervised, but then my heart crunched when he started thanking me profusely for helping him and not being "a big jerk" and killing him lol. I attempted to follow him to watch over him for a bit so he could enjoy himself but he grew suspicious of me so I waved and left and went on my way lol
lumper Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 (edited) The hostility system I think it will serve a purpose so you can have all types of play whenever you want without others dictating how you get to enjoy the game. If I am going to join a pvp session or mission of any kind I will obviously be in offensive mode, but whenever I am not joining to fight in a mission, I will be in in defensive this way I can hunt, fish, travel to the butcher, or just explore in peace. In this game, it is a 5 state map, were all neighbors, there are tons of killing opportunities out there so why not be civil in those in between times? You meet a lot of cool people. Otherwise it dulls down the experience to a death match style game like Call of Duty, which I love, but I dont need RDR2O to be like that, those games already exist, and we have game modes to play that way if we want. Here we have a unique opportunity to co-exist in a game, have each others backs, yet engage in fighting, killing, thieving, etc,,, without taking cheap shots against other players in free roam. When I see another player in game, I never think. oh cool, I am gonna blast this poor fool. rather I am thinking, I wonder what they are doing, and how they are playing right now, then I think I hope their friendly, then I run the other way, and that sucks. So for me, I would like to have it both ways, defensive at times, like free roaming, and offensive other times, like being on call for events, or to be an assassins target, letting everyone know, its cool if you want to fight, bring it!!\ But not when I am walking to the butcher or fishing.
