Gh0stRyder
I guess the latest ones are the last Nintendo will be doing. They are moving Pokemon over to the switch starting next year and that was the biggest seller on 3DS's. So with that, I am not sure how to feel. I grew up playing on my Gameboy and had a Nintendo handheld for as long as I could remember. Kind of feels like a major death in gaming.
liquidfire
I haven't had a Nintendo handheld in years so this isn't a big deal to me but I can get why it is to someone who has played with them for as long as they been around. I knew with the Switch this would happen eventually. They want to have everything all in one.

There has been talks of relaunching older handhelds again like they have done with the two mini-consoles. So there is that. Still, I get what you mean. I played games mostly on my Gameboy growing up so it sucks to see them coming to an end.
#SadCowboy
I saw this coming a few years back. They can't keep them going forever and when the Switch was announced, I knew it was a matter of time. The second release of the 3DS was their way of milking money off people one last time before they call it quits.
Looney Dan
^^^^ Switch's release basically put a nail in the coffin for Nintendo Handhelds. Not a big deal to me considering I haven't played a handheld system of any kind in years.
LinXX
I love the nostalgia of it all and I will always have that so it is not a big deal for me if they stop making them. I plan on getting a Nintendo Switch by early next year too. Edited November 13, 2017 by LinXX
DarkShark
It sucks but technology must go on. They wanted to put more money and focus on the Switch so that is what they are doing. They will likely release a smaller "pocket" controller board for people who want something more travel friendly.
