Alborghetti
Death Stranding is the debut project from Kojima Productions, the studio founded by legendary Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima. Starring The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus and Hannibal’s Mads Mikkelsen, it looks set to be as bonkers and mind-bending as any of his previous works. It's a Playstation 4 exclusive. E3 2016 Trailer: The Game Awards 2016 Trailer: The Game Awards 2017 Trailer: WHAT THE GAME IS ABOUT (Kojima's explanation): During a conversation with IGN, Hideo said that one of his goals with this work is to take a new approach to how killings are handled in videogames. As he explained, since the time of the arcades when we die it's game over. In Death Stranding this will not happen, since when we die we will be transported to another dimension, something equivalent to the continue screen where we had a countdown. Quote "According to Kojima, it will work as follows", says the original story. "When you're ready to return to the living world, you can return to Sam's (the protagonist, performed by Norman Reedus) body. However, unlike most games which take the player to an earlier point, before your death, Death Stranding recognizes your defeat and seems to even embrace it. You are transported back into the world afer your death - as in Dark Souls - where your actions maintain an aura of persistence. The mechanics of dying are ubiquitous in games, but it seems that Kojima is implementing systems inspired by purgatory and reincarnation. " He then spoke about the mysterious rain (seen in trailer 3) and how it seems to accelerate the aging of anything that comes in contact with it. As explained by Kojima, it is called Timefall and is one of the most important aspects of the plot, with the protagonist Sam (played by Norman Reedus) having a special connection with it. But he did not want to go into details about that part. Another aspect commented by Hideo Kojima was the baby that has been shown since the first trailer. According to him, the child will be much more than just a part of the plot, being directly related to the mechanics of the game. The suspicion is that it serves to warn us when enemies are around, making everything even more mysterious.
DarkShark
By the time this game comes out, it will have more awards than GTA V got just for trailers. Seriously though, looking forward to it. The feel of it just sends a chill down my spine. Not many games can do that.

mizTik
Thanks for sharing that Alborghetti. I must have missed it. I am so hyped for this game and I don't even fully understand it.
CrabApples
Such a stunning game just for the visuals. If the game is anything like MGS was and is mostly made up of story and cut scenes, I would happy still play it. Is there any word on when it will be out yet? Not yet but people were expecting to see a Fall release this year or a Spring release for 2019. Nothing has been mentioned as far as I know. bluntTR4P
The realistic emotions behind the characters is what amazes me about this game. I have watched the trailers quite a number of times. They only get better every time I watch them.

I believe Hideo said, in 2016, that the game would release before 2019. The most recent bit of information that can be considered close to a statement regarding a release date is the following:
D3x
Was going to mention the above. Expect a late fall release on this one. I would estimate late November or early December. Very excited to see what comes of it. I love this man's work. Always have.
