Fed up with the constant server issues (rant rantataaaaa)

I mean this game has been out for quite some time now and at least for me the server issues are just getting worse. Cannot join showdowns at all anymore but at least the Free roam seems more stable but im pretty bored of doing nothing / the same sh*t riding around getting harassed by toxic players.

 

And the same bullsh*t copy / paste answers from rs support makes me wanna cry. Open ports, clean cache Yadayada and they dont even bother to answer my questions or file my complaints. They have no clue or just dont care it seems. There is NOTHING wrong with my connection the fault lies in their end.

 

Why oh why did i pick up this piece of thrash again but atleast its out of beta.... What a joke, sry but this is not ok in my book and with this i say Cheers and happy trails.

I know for me when I have problems, I do a hard off on my xbox and then everything is great for about a week, if I notice glitches, drop outs, disconnects, etc.. I do it again, and it works for me, Many people play it and have very few if any problems so I would try it, or look at your network and see what you can do to fix it on your end?

If you play wireless maybe try to plug in a cat 5 cable instead, etc..?

Just a suggestion, I hate to hear some folks are having such troubles,

Still having them myself.  It's funny, too, because back in March, they seemed to have alleviated themselves (finally).

Then I took a brief sabatical to play The Division 2.  I set aside RDO with the intent that I'd come back to it once it finally left "beta".  Flash forward to last week, when the game FINALLY leaves beta: 

Attempt 1: 90% loaded,

                     "You have been gifted gold from Rockstar" (Badass!)

                     "You have received in-game currency from Rockstar" (That's what I'm talking about!  IM SO PUMPED TO PLAY RIGHT NOW, OMFG!!!!!!!)

Hit the "X" button to close the message: "You have been disconnected from Rockstar games services for error [insert alphabet soup combo here].

Attempt 2:. Load in, open my catalog to browse and spend my newfound wealth....

 BAM!!! "Rockstar wants to throw down your kid and stomp on his testicles, and then you will know what it is like to experience waking up everyday as us. And only then will you feel our pain.  We want to eat your children.  Also, you have been disconnected because you're ugly and can't read good."

Attempt 3:. Login.  No errors!  Head to Valentine, play some poker....  25 minutes of sitting through afk isers timing out to folds and finally hit a decent pot.  Walk away happy, and....  BAM!  'Shot in the back by Buford Tanner , over a matter of $80." (actually one shot in the back of the head by the player I just beat at cards.

Immediately switched back to TD2 for the rest of the night.  I only have an hour or two every few days to game, so I'm not overly enthusiastic to play "Service Disruption Simulator 2K19" when I could be blasting fools in the face with modern weaponry.

Yeah, that's a bummer.  The game has been working great for me especially since the last update that fixed my blue screen crashes since the big title update. 

Ive all but given up on the Division 2 as it got way too repetitive for me and way too bullet spongy once I reached the tiers.  I only still play because of a friend who is able to game 1-2 times per week and likes to coop.  We still have fun with it but I can't handle more frequent sessions with it right now.

Really looking forward to Insurgency Sandstorm as I think that might be my go-to game for a while depending on how the development on console goes.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint looks too much like a copy of the Division now from what I'm hearing as they introduce looting elements, skills, tiers for weapons apparently and other RPG elements.  I really enjoyed GRW because it was more of a tactical shooter than an RPG.  Looks like that is changing and a lot of folks aren't too happy about it.  .....no team AI, PvE and PvP being tied together, always online play, etc.  .....bummer.

This morning I’m getting straight up shut down. I log on and start the game get into a server and then the game shuts down back to Xbox home screen.

Funny we talked about this yesterday and then today, bam!! noobs everywhere and whether you call them try hards, griefers, or just jackasses they were everywhere.

Now I still ignore them and dont pay attention to them at all, but as I am skinning a pelican, I see this kid pointing his gun at me, my reaction? I kept doing what I was doing, and said into my mic, hey! dont point that at me, whats wrong with you dude, you see I am skinning birds, dont be a.... I never finished the sentence as he shot at me from behind, I spun around lamats ready to light him up and head shot, Im dead!

So, for the very first time, I pressed charges, then proceeded to take a page from Slippery B. strikes again and boy oh boy was that fun.

So, the fun part was re spawning, changing from slow and steady to slippery B and arming my bow with dyno arrows and hunting him down until he leaves the server, which only took three kills, he was severely outmatched and it was actually fun to blow him up over and over.

But It made me think of this post immediately and I knew I had to come back and say, hmm well... maybe it is actually getting bad again?

See for me the day of the update was awesome, like I said earlier in this thread, I parked my horse walked up and down Main st Valentine with no fear, all proud and happy, and I didnt have any troubles, I hadnt had any troubles until yesterday actually, and when I did have troubles, it seems like there were 20 players under level 15 on the server at the same time and to me that explained all the player killing, they just dont know much better, they are brand new wet behind the ears, bored at the prospect of grinding for weeks to catch up to the rest of us so what else can they do? shoot at anyone who comes along and try to get them to engage in a gun fight.

So I get why they seem to do it if I am even a little right, but it does suck to have to "worry" about what I am doing now again when I see new players everywhere.

I try to encourage them as I feel bad for anyone at level 7 or 11 lol it reminds me of how long and hard I had to grind to get to level 119, I would not want to start over for anything.

I actually have a second account with a level 5 character and I just cant bring myself to level him up, even though right now is a great time to do just that, I dont want to deal with all the noobs while I have a carbine, and a bolt action only, no ability cards, no horse, no anything, lol no way and I going through all that again.

So, ok, player killing is back, hopefully, as we did they will adjust to the idea that there is more to the game than trying to gun fight everyone you encounter.

I know the kid who attacked me was happy to do it, then glad I engaged him, for about 10 seconds, then not so much and he promptly left the server, lol so I feel like he learned a valuable lesson today, dont shot at players with exploding ammo and dyno arrows, and maxed out ability cards, you dont have a chance of surviving a second wave.

He only killed me once because I dismissed him and was very casual about it, like no way he is going to shoot me, lol and I was wrong.

I wouldn't say so because of one bad day.  .....and as you admitted, you left yourself wide open to be griefed / player killed (or whatever is politically correct to call it) when you essentially dared him with that remark and figuratively turned your back.  

Personally, my reactions to encounters with randoms has gone largely unchanged since RDO released. I typically still give players a wide berth and avoid them when I can.

I realize you knowingly left yourself willingly open to the risk in this case but I still believe those who get griefed in this game (for the most part) are victims of their own actions.  .....or inaction.  Makes you wonder though if he's willing to try it again after that encounter.  My gut says yes unless he runs into others who give him the same treatment you did.

LOL,well to be far, I didnt notice him until I looked up and saw him pointing his gun at me, before I said anything he had killing on his mind, and since the update, I go where I want and I dont worry about others, I dont mess with them and for the most part noone else has messed with me, I have skinned animals around lots of blue blips, usually 99.99% of the time they just do their own thing and never pay attention to me, a few guys have come running at me lately and I just stand my ground, draw and advise them to back off, and they have, lol.

This guy was gonna shoot no matter what, and I just didnt see him until it was too late, so I hoped for better judgement after hearing my voice, but lol it ddnt play out that way.

Now I noticed he was drawn on me for several seconds without shooting, so all I can figure is he was looking at my name, and maybe looking me up quick, I cant be sure though, either way when he saw my level he should have known.

Either way, yeah you cant base things on one encounter or one day, but today espeically I saw many new players and so although I didnt edit my plans or routes as a result I was on high alert after this kid.

I noticed an increase of new players in last couple of days as well but that is a good thing. In every online game. 

Yes they are annoying   last couple of days im like a zombie hunting mostly and doing dailys to finally finish my last tier 3 ability card ! Card nr 24. I need only 100 dollars more - didnt have strenth to finish it y-day. 

During those couple of days i totally ignored them. Got shot in similar situation maybe 3 or 4 times but didnt react. Just pressed charges and carried on with my grind. I bet they felt good shooting a lvl 141 and getting away with it but i really could not care less about them at this point.   But it changes today  im going to be ruthless towards them.

Oh totally man, we need players, and new players are not a nuisance unless they make themselves one, I was just pointing out that most of the issues I have online with other layers, are lower level players lately.

I was a new player too, I just didnt bother people or shoot at them and make excuses for it.

Didnt bother ppl when i was new as well and now when im 144.  Since the  start when i get shot in the back of my head while doing my own business 99% were players <25 lvl 

A few days ago tho there was an idiot lvl 350 ish in tumbleweed sniping with carcano hidden somwhere on the roofs. That was the first time ive seen such high lvl harrasing players.

Wow. I don’t understand why someone at that high of level feels the need to do that. I mean, I get it that they have dominated the game and are probably bored... but doing stuff like that just seems a bit immature.

I think if your that bored you need to find another game to get your interest. The hours it would take to get to level 350 would be an extreme investment of time if they are not a regular streamer.
