Do you prefer Twitter over Facebook?

Or am I all alone here? LOL

I joined FB back in 2008 and while it was okay, I got bored with it within a year. I started using Twitter around 2007 before people even knew what it was and I liked it a lot but I lost my account and none of my friends joined so I said screw it. I went back to Twitter in 2011 I believe when it was finally becoming "a thing" and I can't see how anyone still uses Facebook!

I am actually weaning myself off both. Well never used Twitter actually but FB is just becoming more and more of a time waster for me. I check into Insta and YT more often these days. Too much noise on FB

I only use Instagram. I know that is likely the stupid answer here but I just like sharing pictures that family and friends can see. It isn't loaded with food and selfies. None of that hot mess but just pictures with friends, animals, nature, and my general adventurers.

They both suck. Almost all social media is filled with garbage, hate, and just trolling. I am pretty much over it all. I think people will start to get bored with it and move on to the next thing. A lot of people my age have either stopped using these sites all together or seldom use them.

I like Twitter myself. I used Facebook for a few years but I only go on there now maybe once or twice a month. I find it useless. It is just people showing off or arguing over politics. No thanks.

I don't use social media... Well, unless you count forums. I like being anonymous online. The idea behind social media seems idiotic to me. "Let me share with you what I bought today, what I ate last night, who I am dating, how hot I look in this, all the friends I have,..."

Yuck.

I use both but with anonymous accounts. Use them mostly to get free stuff (where social media is required) and to also follow others to get my news feed instead of having to visit the sites directly each on their own.

Not everyone uses them like this. I am the same as Jamesie. I have accounts but you would not know they were me. I am just a random person online sharing things.

Only on Facebook with family and friends and twitter makes no sense for me how come they have such short messages that one can send and why use that rather than facebook or something else???? Stupid for me so I just use facebook or mail and forums.

I guess there are some people who use them differently. I hate to say it, but trolls do this too and while I am all for anonymity online... they ruin it for people.

Facebook makes most sense to be used to keep in touch with family. Like sharing events and pictures with them. I get that but so many just use it to vent and rant and show off. Blehh.

I know trolls do a lot of stupid crap but soon as you ignore them you take away their power.

They shouldn't be the reason why social media is stupid.
