I just want.....

....to be able to continue through the original John Marston story now. I have no interest in online gameplay at all. I just wish we could get the DLC to play out Red Dead Redemption with the current gameplay perks. Red Dead Redemption 2 was fanomanal! I just want to play through John's story again with the current gameplay.

This isn't likely to happen, unfortunately.  Rockstar is creating a lot of content for the Online environment as that's where the recurring revenue comes from.

All you can really do in the main story part of the game is complete as many as the other quests as you can to get 100% game completion - this took me months and a couple of restarts to complete.  If you've only completed the game once, I'd suggest starting over - you'll appreciate the game so much more on a second playthrough.

I agree with Foxtrot.

Also, whether some folks will agree with it or not, R* has repeatedly sold RDO as a continuation of the SP campaign.  Online is essentially the continuing story but this time instead of playing through what is basically scripted characters, RDO is about you in the RDR2 game world.

As for John Marsten's story, its told through RDR1.  I don't expect that they will release any DLC for the campaign but one never knows.  We may see another Undead addition or something similar.

I'm 99% sure they'll never release any Story Mode DLCs for RDR2, especially after how they announced Story DLC for GTA V only to go silent on it for years afterward before finally giving a BS excuse ("GTA V was very, very complete!") and gushing about how they "loved" single player in the same paragraph. AFAIK, they've still never even said why they stopped making DLC vehicles and weapons usable in Story Mode like they used to. Probably because it was cutting into shark card sales because why bother playing GTA Online to test out the new supercar when you can do so in Story Mode and max out its mods immediately instead of having to level up 10,000 levels in order to unlock them, all without the fear of some asshate blowing you up with a rocket launcher just because you drove by him too fast or something?

Sorry, I digress.

After the Zombie Apocalypse DLC for Red Dead One. Rockstar decided to discontinue with story DLC. I remember reading an article where one of Rockstar's senior managers said story DLC was no longer viable or what they wanted to do. I think they realised they make more money from developing online content.

I agree it’ll likely never happen, but I would love if they completely remade RDR1 as a continuation of RDR2 with all the new stuff thrown in. It would be fun.

It would take a pretty significant amount of work to fill out Nuevo Paraiso. The area is completely empty except for El Presidio. If they can't even be bothered to include new weapons to Story Mode, I can't see them adding a whole new region. Rockstar made claims about expanding GTA Online's map, but it's six years later now and they've done no such thing to date.
