dontmesswithabeau
Hi people, new to this community and so excited about RDR2! (Like, so much so i cannot stop thinking about it, and have booked 11 days off work immerse myself ha-ha) I've been watching the many YouTube channels whereby i learnt that rdr2 will see Arthur having to prepare more for the gunfights ahead. More specifically, that your guns and weaponry will be mounted on your trusty horse. If your horse gets spooked from gun shots etc, it may well ride off with the rifle you were gonna equip!? Also, might it be a tad frustrating to constantly forward plan for each mission, not knowing what exactly the best thing to equip is yet? These are all things i'm super glad they've done as i think it'll make the game much more immersive and realistic but i do have my fears it'll become a bit of a gripe. Still, it'll be blissfully refreshing and i cant wait for all the great changes we'll see! Roll on Oct! on the countdown!
Benjo
Welcome. Wow, 11 days. You need to do some serious food planning, and stock up on water etc. Also remember to keep moving to reduce danger of blood clots. It's an interesting point about your horse running off with your guns - not one I'd thought about. Although it does come to you if it is in earshot so I imagine it won't be too much of an issue. In terms of the mission planning I imagine you'll get into a flow and have a typical loadout that you use for each one, but maybe swap out a shotgun for a scoped rifle for the odd one.

For the number of times my horse ran off in the last game, got killed, or just didn't come back to me when called... This may be a bit of a problem. lol
dontmesswithabeau
yeah it scares the shit out of me to think that all that time and patience building a strong bond with your horse and the possibility of having it shot or fly off a cliff..i'd be savage! haha still, its going to make the game so much more interesting
YellowDragon
I know a lot of people would be mad but the thought of building up a relationship with my horse for like 30+ in-game hours and having it mauled by a cougar makes me laugh. I would imagine though if this is the case, I can get all my weapons off the dead horse.

When you think about it, there will be plenty of memes to make this kind of thing funny, just wait and see. I have a dark sense of humor so maybe I am on the outside here with Yellow but as long as I can get my items off the horse, well... Game on lol

I find it easier to form bonds with human characters in video games vs animals. I have my own animals to bond with in real life. lol

I will likely be posting a lengthy rage thread if I somehow manage to get it killed. I remember putting a bunch of hours in the GTA V online and having a crap ton of cars and money and then for some reason, I log on and it was all gone. I didn't touch that damn game for 6 months. lol

I'd put one tied-up on the back of their own horse, then get behind the horse and start firing my shotgun in the air. (If it didn't rear and buck him off), the horse would take off running like crazy into the wilderness. Take THAT, Mr. Bandit. ????

dontmesswithabeau
I used to, and still do, quite quite often, lasso and hog tie ***** from Thieves Landing and pop then just on the edge of a river embankment and watch them roll off and drown. Now that's cold. And weird I know. Edited August 3, 2018 by Benjo Profanity
