Anyone buying BFV?

After the s*** storm that EA has been creating over the last few years, painting their portrait as a money grabbing bag of w*****s with no regard for their customers, many are boycotting Battlefield V and opting for RDR2 instead.

Some are just not buying it because either it's too close to RDR2, or it just doesn't look a great game. The uproar about having a disabled woman fighting on the front lines has led many to disassociate from the franchise completely.

Preorders have been described as "weak" which is not surprising given both EA's image and the game they are pushing, not to mention their "either accept it or don't buy the game" comment the other week.

Thoughts?

I was interested initially but I think I'll pass.  With all the drama with inclusiveness, etc. instead of a focus on the gameplay itself, I'm just not interested.   I'm also not happy with yet another WW2 theme or the solo experience.

I really liked BF2 and the Bad Company titles.   .....even BF2142 was loads of fun online.

Anyhow, I'll probably pick up BFV on sale sometime down the road.

I'm just not interested in playing another World War Battlefield, if they'd gone with a Modern or Vietnam War setting. I would've probably ended up buying it, but. They went against the fans wishes and decided on WW2...

And my thoughts on the whole controversy surrounding women being on the frontlines in BFV?... I don't really care tbh, I mean. It's a game after all, I wouldn't care if they were Katana welding wheelchair ninjas in the game. All that matters to me is that the game's fun to play.

But there's another battlefield style game coming out called "World War 3" , i'm going to wait until WAB reviews it before I buy it.

Meh, I'm passing on BFV, but that's more due to the fact that I'm a "one game at at time" kind of guy, two at the most.

These days, I'm still grinding out The Division and goofing around with Friday the 13th.  Once RDR2 hits, Friday will drop out of the rotation completely and The Division will become the diversion until TD2 drops in March.

RDR2 basically has five months of my undivided gaming attention.

Here’s what’s great about Battlefield and Call Of Duty games, I beat the campaign in 8 hours and sell the thing for top dollar. That’s it. I hate the PvP. And honestly the campaign isn’t great either. I think I bought my last one of those with Battlefield 1.

Agreed. Only one game at a time. I’ll be playing this till The Last Of Us 2

Great. Thanks, Bropollo. Now I'll be singing the theme song to One Day At A Time all morning, but subbing out "Day" for "Game."

Come to think of it, thinking all morning of the wacky antics of Pat Harrington Jr. as "Schneider" isn't quite so bad . . .

It could be worse.  You could have the theme song from "Small Wonder" in your head:

"La, lalala, lalala, lalalala.  La, lalala, lalala, lalalala!"
