I have had a craving for tacos all day today. I was going to just pick something up from Taco Bell but last time I had them, it just wasn't the same. I feel like they went downhill since the 90's.

they expanded the menu to much and have all the gimmick crap now, although i do really like the nacho dorrito taco :)  seems all the fast food has done this, none are as good as they were 10 or 15 years ago.  In highschool and college playing ball i'd eat 5 or 6 big mac's after a game or practice.  bus driver called me 6 mac.  I could probable eat 8 or 10 now days if I was that age again lol.

Because I couldnt find a package limburger cheese at local stores, I was forced into ordering 2 lbs. of it through Amazon. (Because I am old and I do stupid things)

Hard rye bread, limburger, thinly sliced onions, mustard, topped with garlic salt. Wash it down with a Hefeweizen or two and you are good to go. (or not)

I have been eating one for lunch, every day, for the past two week and I still have a pound remaining. My wife is no longer speaking to me and my morning constitutional has turned into a 3 day event. It's like breech birthing a large skunk and I keep a pair of scissors handy, just in case I need to do a quick episiotomy before my eyes pop out and land on the bathroom floor.

They are quite delicious though.

I think this has to do with cutting corners. Fast food is in some cases cheaper and you get larger portions but the quality of the food itself has went down the drain. I mean it wasn't health 30 years ago but it was a hell of a lot healthier than it is now. They have to put so much MSG in to make the food taste like anything.

I had this nice little fry-up at an English Cafe, last weekend --I live in Austin, Texas. I go here often because they have Keto bread xD! I do Keto because it regulates my anxiety, so places that serve Keto bread makes me a happy panda.

Yay for food! xD

that looks awesome!

I had an amazing find easter weekend.  I went to my parents house to see my uncle and cousin over from Wyoming.  Been about 7 years since i saw my cousin last.  They came over to visit, my uncle and come over yearly.  Was a treat i guess you could say to see my cousin.  Had lots of fun reminiscing.  My grandmother recently was moved into assisted living, she fell down again and called my parents, said she'd had enough, she wanted to move.  So this year my uncle's family came to look through her things she was giving to the family.

I have pictures of her high school diploma from 1934 and whole bunch of memories now.

The amazing find was one of her old cookbooks.  Printed date shows 1903.  It was my great grandmother's cook book.  The local women's club made it, all of the members back then contributed recipes (they called them receipts) to make the cookbook.  Grandma said there's recipes in that book from her grandmother, who was born during the civil war and lived through the "wild west" in Illinois and then Wyoming.

I think i'll have to scan it and make it digital, the pages are showing their age and i don't want to ruin it :)  I haven't had a chance to look through it all yet, but there's some familiar recipes in there.  Like chili, and cornbread.  I'll have to post any interesting recipes it has.
