  1. Full cred to this guy at Reddit. Thought it was funny as hell.

  2. As we all must know... The game has been officially pushed back to Spring 2018. While I am not surprised and even called it being a Spring release, I am still mad. They kept us all waiting and assuming it will still be the Fall release for MONTHS. Why could they not just change the date? So we have an idea? What is the point of KNOWING the game will be delayed and NOT telling your fanbase!? I just got home from work and came over here from the blog. Now that I know I have to wait nearly a year... Well, I need someone to talk to. lol Needless to say... I'm a #SadCowboy

  4. So I broke down three of the screenshots, did I miss anything that you know off?

  5. You're correct. It wasn't the case with RDR's first trailer, the narrator was Bonnie's father, Drew MacFarlane.

  6. Look closely @Benjo, they are not the same. Although I don't know what kind of revolver he is holding in his left hand his right hand he seems to be holding a Colt Peacemaker.

  9. This sux though as it means we have to wait even longer now.. You were partially right (about the 2018 bit) but let's hope you're not right about the fall of 2018 and that they do actually bring it out in spring.

  10. You are right. Add in to the mix that the TTWO investor call is tomorrow (and they will be asked about RDR2) and that they waited until the last possible moment to announce this, and I think there is more than meets the eye going on...

  11. Feel you,but they didn't even say anuthing about the realese date so another delay can be possible If I was making a game I would announce it when it's 90% ready

  12. They literally waited until the last possible day before the Take Two investor call when they knew they would need to say something. So I agree with you, WTF. Why keep us waiting for so long for bad news???

  13. They must have read my thread about robbing buildings and decided to spend the extra time putting it in.

  14. LOL Wait until @Anc1entC0resigns on... I have to agree though with blunt up there... they are not a company to wait unless something has been changed.

  15. Although it is unfortunate that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed till Spring 2018 it's not like we didn't see this as a possibility, part of the reason Rockstar are so successful is because they polish their games to perfection and sometimes delays are inevitable I just wish Rockstar wouldn't get peoples hopes up when they know how likely it is that their games are gonna be delayed. On the bright side, we got some superb screenshots to gawk at so I'm interested to see what you guys think of them and if there's anything in these screenshots that stand out to you. The first thing I noticed when looking at this screenshot is how obscured by the darkness these characters are which is something that wasn't present in Red Dead Redemption as even at night you could always make out the faces of anyone you came across so I'm interested to see whether light and dark will affect gameplay in Red Dead Redemption 2. The man centre left crops up a few times in these screenshots and shares similarities with the man that appears in both the trailer and the centre of the teaser artwork, the two men on the right also share similarities with people seen in the trailer and teaser artwork. I think it's safe to assume that the man centre left is gonna be a playable character due to how prominent he has been as well as how obscuring his face seems to be a constant trend in these screenshots. This screenshot appears to show the same man that appeared centre left in the above screenshot, the coat has changed but the distinctive hat with the rope around it has remained. I love how steam from the train affects visibility in this screenshot and as previously seen in the trailer and artwork dual wielding looks to be an option for the player but what caught my eye in this screenshot is that the two revolvers he's holding are not the same so maybe we'll be able to mix and match what weapons we wish to use, I'm personally hoping I'll be able to dual wield a sawed-off shotgun and a revolver. This beautiful screenshot of a dense forest is my favourite and appears to show the same man from the first and second screenshots wearing what looks to be the same hat with the same coat as the first screenshot. We get a good view of Red Dead Redemption 2's vast open world in this screenshot, I can't with any certainty link any of these men to anyone in the trailer or other screenshots but it does seem apparent that they are protecting the contents of this armoured stagecoach (which looks very similar to the armoured stagecoach that Colonel Allende and Bill Williamson used in Red Dead Redemption) so I'm assuming that this may be a random event where you can choose to commit stagecoach robbery. The stagecoach does have writing on the side of it but I am unable to make out what it says. This screenshot shows the same train seen in the trailer crossing over a stream, in the background we can see birds in the sky, mountains and a building that is mostly obscured by trees. There is writing on the side of the train carriages but I can't make out what it says but in my opinion after taking a closer look at the carriages this does not look like a passenger train. The man from the first, second and third screenshot appears here again riding the same horse seen in the third screenshot through the centre of an unknown town, out of the 8 people seen here he is the only one that I believe we have seen before. If we look down the street we can see a Saloon, a building with rooms for rent and a Doctors advertising Tonics, Remedies and Powders. Looking at the recurring man he has a small satchel on his left side, a Spencer Rifle on his back, what looks like a Colt Peacemaker and a bone handle knife on his right side. Other small details in this screenshot are the imprints made in the mud by people and horses, the shadow affects on the left side of the screenshot as well as the very detailed engraving on the Spencer Rifle. In the last and probably most detailed screenshot we see two Schofield Revolvers with very ornate engravings being dual wielded in a brick wall building possibly a bank, in the background there are shelving units holding boxes and crates as well as a smoke cloud possibly created by the revolvers. On the shooter's right hand we can see two rings, a circular lion ring on their pinky and a ring with what appears to be the letter "D" on his middle finger. Hopefully we get more info on Red Dead Redemption 2 soon but in the meantime I'd greatly enjoy reading your predictions and what you guys have noticed in these screenshots so please comment. - Archbell

  16. In an announcement that is probably not altogether that surprising, Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed until the Spring of 2018. The game was originally slated to be released this Fall after an initial announcement that it was in production in October last year. The news comes in the wake of two separate rumors (that have now been disproven) concerning the game. One concerned an allegedly leaked screenshot that was later revealed to be from a different game altogether. Second was a rumor about a live action trailer being shot in Montana for an upcoming Western. But then that turned out to be for Far Cry 5, as confirmed by the recent teaser for the game welcoming players to “Hope County”. This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans. Rockstar’s official statement indicates that the delay is due to Red Dead Redemption 2 being the first game developed by the company entirely for the current-generation of consoles. This is as opposed to Grand Theft Auto V, which was merely ported to the new systems. Instead, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be developed entirely for the new hardware, allowing Rockstar to take advantage of the greater resources in ways GTA V could never have. To display just how much advantage they are taking of that new hardware, Rockstar showed off a couple of screenshots from the game too (check out the full gallery here). As for new information about the game itself, Rockstar hasn’t revealed anything just yet. But we do finally know when to expect some kind of press release, and we won’t need to wait long. New information, and hopefully gameplay footage, will be shown off sometime this Summer, which makes us hopeful for a possible E3 appearance. While E3’s have usually been skipped by Rockstar in the past, they have shown off games there a few times and we feel that Red Dead Redemption 2 is a big enough deal to warrant a change in tradition. Many players who have been hotly anticipating the sequel to Red Dead Redemption are likely disappointed. However, at the same time many have expressed, in advance of today’s news, that a delay wouldn’t sadden them, since it merely means the developers are taking the time to create the best game they possibly can – something Rockstar Games has done before with GTA V, and the results speak for themselves. Alas, our wait continues. The post Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed To Spring 2018 appeared first on RDR2. Read the full story

  20. Yeah it felt very taxing and repetitive. I am not sure what they will do for RDR2 but I hope they touched it up and made it more entertaining and less of a chore.

  21. Oh I agree for sure with that. I mean the mechanics felt like they were 5 years behind with that game. I would like to think Rockstar have something up their sleeves to improve it in RDR2.
