Ok, so I wanted to get a discussion on some of the best Western films of all time, and possibly suggestions of ones I have not yet considered. I'm on a marathon of Western films that should last through October in order to pump me up for RDR2. Before the marathon, Tombstone was my favorite, but ever since I watched Once Upon a Time in the West, that is now my favorite.
Also, of all the movies, No Country for Old Men is my favorite movie, but I wonder if people consider this a real Western? I think it has all the right elements of a Western, as well as There Will Be Blood.
Prior to the marathon, I had already seen:
Tombstone
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Dances With Wolves
True Grit (2010)
Unforgiven
The Magnificent Seven (1960)
3:10 to Yuma (2007)
And some arguable neo-Westerns such as: No Country for Old Men
The Revenant
There Will Be Blood
My current marathon has consisted of: Fistful of Dollars
A Few More Dollars
Stagecoach
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Once Upon a Time in the West
True Grit (1969)
The Hateful Eight
To be watched: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
High Noon
Rio Bravo
The Man Who Shot Liberty Vance
The Assassination of Jesse James
Pale Rider
High Plains Drifter
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddd some music!
