  3. After all this time, the first sign that a big marketing push for Red Dead Redemption 2 is underway has appeared. Fans have sighted a huge collection of posters going up in New York advertising the game. This is likely the first step in a much larger, international publicity campaign mirroring that of past releases. Sighted in Lower Manhattan, New York City, near Rockstar's local offices, was a set of posters set up near one another. First reported by Tom Caswell and Instagram user Tary_n, the posters depict individual character art for John Marston, Dutch van der Linde, Sadie Adler and Charles Smith, as well as a large key art poster and a separate posted with the tagline "Outlaws for Life". While none of these characters are new, the artwork used to depict them hasn't been seen before in other marketing material. The posters reaffirm the October 26 release date, and if it got printed on posters going up in such a prominent location, you can bet that that's when the game will be launched. The key art poster showing the drawing of Arthur Morgan which also adorns the game's box is displayed higher up than the rest and has its own illumination, setting it apart from the other posters. It towers almost like a marker in an open world game, beckoning fans to visit it to see the other displays. In a curious and almost certainly deliberate twist of fate, the large posters emblazoned with "Outlaws for Life" happens to be prominently displayed on a bank building. Whoever came up with that deserves a promotion, though we have the slightest hunch that the bank's employees may not be too cheery about the situation. This was enough to ignite the fandom, many of whom are already hoping for some means to acquire character art posters in the future. This is also likely an indication of the beginning of Red Dead Redemption 2's marketing in earnest, which has been absent so far. Rockstar Games previous high-profile release, Grand Theft Auto 5, allegedly had half of its $265 million budget dedicated to marketing, which manifested in the form of huge murals, liveries on the sides of trams, posters across multiple countries and widespread online advertising. Red Dead Redemption 2, which is intended to be publisher Take-Two's flagship release of the year, will likely get no less attention. Hopefully the activation of the marketing engine doesn't only mean ads, but also more trailers, screenshots and gameplay details. 4. Please use this thread to discuss the new gameplay trailer The deaths look so real, how they fall, how their bodies fly in the direction of the bullet they've been hit with. Did anyone see this where a guy was shot on horseback and the horse threw him off? Looked amazing: Also this guy looked super realistic how he fell: Hyped!!!!

  5. Not one shot from first person view. Reason to think it's not in? I loved the thought of riding a horse in first person and would be disappointed if it's not in there. Anyone heard anything about this?

  6. Seeing this trailer I'm not sure he will be playable. It's difficult to believe they will have him there all the way through the story mode, knocking around your camp and sitting by your camp fire and then have him suddenly playable. Although it would be a big twist that R$ could introduce. I just dunno.

  7. That makes sense. Not sure when I watched a UR video, but I wouldn't doubt that I have at some point. Now I feel dumb lol

  10. That's one of those things that we all know is going to be included, but they'll probably hold off on it for as long as possible to build the suspense.

  11. Indeed. If the multiplayer is anywhere NEAR as awesome as this single-player footage appears to be, I may have a hard time doing anything else. Much to my wife n' kids' chagrin. ???? This was even more than I'd hoped for. Just wish we could have seen/heard some from Marston.

  12. AHH!! But what if that's Rockstar's great plan for fighting the "gankers and griefers"?? In the real world, 150 years ago, these same types existed! Robbery was rampant. Murder was commonplace. Bandits and gangs ran the show. (That's what these jerks would be! Outlaw gangs!) THEN . . . Justice appeared! . . . in the form of sheriffs, marshals, and gathered posses! They'd amass their forces, hunt them down, and either arrest them or execute them. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO EXECUTE A TROLL?? Or HEY! What if you could throw them into jail, and they'd INSTANTLY lose all their weapons and much of their money?? (kinda like in GTA) Then, they'd have to start all over again. That's quite literally "policing" trolls! I love this . . . #ihopeihopeihope

  14. The same way RD Redemption blew away RD Revolver. Graphics, details, gameplay, immersion, storyline, animals, NPC interaction, characters. All of them.

  15. You were able to fan the hammer in Red Dead Redemption but your character only did it when using Dead Eye so my guess is that it'll work the same way in Red Dead Redemption II, you can also see Arthur fan the hammer during a duel in trailer 3. The engraved Schofield looks cool as well, this artwork is most likely of Dutch judging by the engraving on the gun and the rings we've already seen him wear in screenshots and trailers.

  18. You mean you DIDN'T donate toward the extra $100 million to make poor Kylie Jenner the world's youngest "self-made" BILLIONAIRE? ???? Sorry. "Hey, give me money so I can be a billionaire" does NOT equate to being "self-made" in my book.
