As long as there are ways to make cash without having 3 other people play. That was the main failing for me for the heists - you have to sit for an hour waiting for 3 more players to connect, then when they do, one just quits within 5 minutes of playing. There aren't enough souls in my timezone for this to be a good option so having ways to make money on my own, for me, is a must.3 points

I hope we get more information soon but in the meantime I've had nothing better to do than take a closer look at the screens and information we received in the Red Dead Redemption II Frontier, Cities & Towns feature. I always miss something so feel free to post below any small details you noticed in these recent screens. I may be wrong but this is the first time to my knowledge that we've seen Arthur with a secondary holster, I wondered for a while whether dual-wielding would require two holsters because I never saw one on his person until now. Arthur looks a bit naked without his gun and gun belt, this may just be for a particular cutscene or maybe if you wanna mingle with high society you have to leave your guns behind. Mount Hagen looks amazing and I can't wait to travel through areas such as this. I'm thinking the name "Mount Hagen" might be a reference to Ross Hagen who for those who don't know was the voice actor for Landon Ricketts in Red Dead Redemption, Hagen died in 2011 nearly a year after the game's release and this seems like a nice way to honour him. We've seen Javier Escuella wearing this poncho before in the third trailer but you get a better look at it here and it looks a lot better than the ponchos we had as John Marston in Red Dead Redemption that were cut off at the shoulders, hoping to get my hands on one of these pronto. It's a tad weird to see Bill Williamson without a beard, I'm somewhat hoping this is the extent of it as I don't know if I could handle seeing Dutch clean shaven. This shot of the Arthur, Micah and Sean walking through the town of Rhodes looks great, in the back you can see a statue which I'm assuming is of Brigadier-General Sherman M. Rhodes. In Red Dead Redemption one of the many Treasure Maps you can follow will lead you to Rhodes' Gold, the description of which reads "Gold bullion given to Brigadier-General Sherman M. Rhodes". My assumption is that if your actions during the Civil War earned you a bar of gold bullion it's not that much of a stretch for someone to name a town after you. I think this shot is one of the best, the way Arthur's trousers/pants look when soaked through as well as how the two Alligators' eyes are glowing in the low light adds so much realism.1 point

I posted this in the online subforum but figured I would post it here as well. RDR2 Online announced for release in November as a beta: https://rockstarintel.com/2018/09/19/red-dead-online-announced-launching-november-2018/ “Today we’re excited to announce Red Dead Online, a new online connected experience set against the backdrop of Red Dead Redemption 2’s enormous open world. Red Dead Online is an evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption, blending narrative with competitive and cooperative gameplay in fun new ways. Using the gameplay of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 as a foundation, Red Dead Online will be ready to be explored alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players. Red Dead Online is planned for launch in November 2018, initially as a public beta, with more news to come soon. As with most online experiences of this size and scale, there will inevitably be some turbulence at launch. We look forward to working with our amazing and dedicated community to share ideas, help us fix teething problems and work with us to develop Red Dead Online into something really fun and innovative. Access to Red Dead Online is free to anyone with a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26, 2018.” .....and more details about RDO (credit to Kirsty from GTAFORUMS):1 point

Looks like today is the day when some of the "hands on" get revealed. Tons of information is streaming through Twitter right now. A lot of good stuff. ......too much to digest right now.1 point

Your son asks a really interesting question, I'd love to say that I'm gonna be cool, calm and iron-willed like Clint Eastwood in The Man With No Name Trilogy but I'll probably end up as a mix between Emilio Estevez's portrayal of Billy The Kid in Young Guns and Jim, the "Waco Kid" in Blazing Saddles.1 point

I just want to play the game already. I feel like every review, new trailer, or released information is just making me jones harder for it. Screw you IGN! THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY HANDS ON REACTION!1 point

Some great little bits in this. I skipped the first part where they are talking about the mission as I don't want spoilers. Big take away - you can (apparently) blow limbs off with a shotgun.1 point

Fennel Seeds, yes. But I like a little more heat with my pizza, so I eschew Italian Seasoning for something more... robust, like spicy wing dry rub or Old Bay.1 point

The customization is so robust, you can put anyone from WWE in the game. Hell, I'm sure there's guides online to do just that...1 point

No. This weekend. That is the assignment. This weekend = the assignment. "At some point" ≠ the assignment. @BropolloCreed79 - consider yourself "assigned" as well, sir. Still waiting for these pictures with baited breath!1 point

I don't think I've ever seen them at $2.50. The ones I like are, like, five bucks, but they're huge. I still like 'em very much. You know what else I like a lot? Red Baron pizzas. Those can be addictive (if not cost-prohibitive) Here, I have an assignment for you. Do this sometime this weekend: Pick up a Totino's Party Pizza (for the exorbitant price of .99 cents - $1.25) Open it up (cooks better without cellophane) 😔 Sprinkle some Italian Seasoning and some Fennel Seed on top (DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!!!) Put it in the oven @450 for 15 minutes (don't bother preheating) When it's done, let it cool for 10 minutes (so as to not roast your tongue) FOLD IT IN HALF, LENGTHWISE Boom. You have a cracker-crust pizza flatbread sandwich that you won't ever want to end. All for a wonderfully affordable price. I will accept all thanks, praise, and monetary donations.1 point

I like the fact that Rockstar are putting a focus on incorporating role-playing and morality but I can't lie that I had a slight chuckle when I read the IGN Q&A and saw that this was one of the things they are focusing on, I guess their not blind to the fact that they built the platform for one of the most toxic multiplayer communities to ever grace the world of gaming.1 point

Hey, if my camp needs a cook, then that's how I'll acquire one. Preferably one with all his fingers and toes--no need for "secret ingredients"1 point

Just picked up Fire Pro Wrestling World for the PS4, and I'm blown away by how much fun I'm having with it. Yes, the graphics are supposed to look like that:1 point

I make my own humor. Like randomly shooting the horse out from under unsuspecting riders so they faceplant.1 point

Oh, you mean like job interview. No thanks, but like Kean said, you can join the club section and send invites from there.1 point

.....what "certain" processes? Sounds mysterious (if not a little creepy I must admit). btw, there is also a club section on this site at your disposal where you can include descriptions, make it "invite only", etc.: https://www.rdr2.org/forums/clubs/1 point
