If you're anything like me you've likely been putting off completing Herbalist challenge #9 as spending hours searching the map for every single plant seems like a daunting challenge. I finally decided to bite the bullet and get it done and so I thought I'd share some resources that helped me to complete it, in hopes that it helps at least one other person. So I stole a stagecoach and took it to Seamus in emerald ranch but the barn wont open ( I already completed the initial mission to deliver him a stage coach). The fence wont unlock either. I have tried waiting until morning (several times) any ideas? Edit: So I left town set up camp and returned and that did the trick. Working now.

Yeah, I noticed that. I can't remember where I last saved but I will start there and work my way out. I did not intend on 100%'ing this game but I got too far deep to turn back now.

You're very welcome, glad I could help. It doesn't take as long as you'd imagine, I'd advise scanning the area you're in to pick up other herbs nearby to save time. It's not uncommon for a location to have 4 different species, sometimes 5.

HI Guys, I am new to the forum and just signed up and I did this to contribute to this topic. I must say that I to am very surprised and shocked how this all went down with RDR2. The game was very hyped and now it all seems that the game isn't as good (technically) as many believe it is. It might be good on some areas, but to promote a game like that with HDR and 4K, thus later on appears to be fake HDR, is a grave mistake. Most of the reviews I saw or read, never mentioned this at all. You see, most people won't notice it because A) they can't see the difference or B) don't care that much. Also on this forum there seem to be a couple of posters that like to troll with these things or even claiming they work at Rockstar (this still needs to be proven). It is a real issue and should be address by RockStar ASAP, not only for them self, but more so for all those buyers that feel let down. So please stop posting TV settings that although it could change the look a bit, will never fix the real issue. It is like taking pain medication for something that needs to be addressed with surgery! A work a round for the time being! I have the game (Ultimate Edition for PS4) and yes I pre-ordered it, but if they won't fix these issues then I will resell it. I don't own a PS4 nor Xbox, but I would like too, yet the way this went down with RDR2 is so very unprofessional. I am disappointed in them and there product and it appears that either A) they don't care and won't fix it (soon) or B) they are working on some big patch that will fix most. Personally, I think there priority is the online part of the game, not the graphics or look of it. As many mentioned, other games have implemented there upscalling and HDR implementation correctly. Spiderman for instance! So this is not a PS4 issue, but a game issue! They focused on the wrong things with this game in my opinion and because they sold and will continue to sell so many copies of the game, I fear they don't care that much about technical issues a portion (the smarter amount) of people are experiencing. Also the fact that some support people at Rockstar act like they don't know what we (consumers) are talking about, is an strong sign they A) don't care or B) try to cover it up. I read somewhere they didn't want to use actors that are very famous because of ego troubles. But yet I know Rockstar is known as being a very arrogant company that thinks the world of them self and do things they want, not how we want them. RDR2 is the latest example of how things go with Rockstar and I can only say that I hope for all of use they will officially acknowledge these HDR/blurr/upschale/antiallising issues ASAP!

Definitely, especially the "hit three times in blackjack and win x3", do they realise the odds of that happening once are painfully low? never mind three times. If you're struggling with the dominoes one (win 3 games in a row) try and play the variation where the first to use all of their tiles wins, not only is much easier than the one at Saint Denis but it's usually heads up (vs 1 player). I was able to do it on my first attempt but RNG might not always be so kind. It's at one of the stations ( I think Emerald) but not 100% on that. The Best strategy is to try and keep as many options open to yourself and then as a secondary consideration try and remove your highest dotted dominoes when you can. For Example say you have one 1, two 2's, one 3, three 4's and four 5's, and you have the option to play either a 1 or a 5; play the 5 as using the 1 will lock you out of playing when 1's land on either side. As for the last one "win three hands of poker in a row" this one is also annoying, in reality this would be fairly simple but the AI is so painfully loose that successfully bluffing is nigh on impossible. The best strategy for this is not the actual best strategy for beating RD's poker, simply limp every hand (except maybe the top 8-10% of your range) then bet flop turn and river bluffing 100% of the time. Eventually you'll win three in a row. The reason we limp all of our range is to keep the pot small so we can bluff cheaper, you could also check some flops when you miss (especially multi-way) so we can bluff turn and river cheaper. If you get a really nutted hand and have the opportunity to knock some one out of the game do it! Even if it means overbetting all in on the river, the fewer number of players at the table the easier it will be to complete the challenge.

I know your pain.

Set camp in the Grizzlies West just south of Mount Hagen (or near by), save and head toward Lake Izabella approaching from the west path. One should spawn on the west side of the lake fairly high up (Just past the raised land). If it doesn't spawn or it's not three star just load your save and try again. I also found one near the Aurora Basin however I have no idea about how to force that one to spawn. As a side note fully upgrading the camp is literally pointless, not only do you not get an achievement for doing it but post chapter six the camp no longer exists.

Cool stuff but little interest for folks like me who hate using them in games I like. If the gameplay is good, I see little use for them but that's just me.

The issue seems to be your competency and decision making rather than poor game design.

1) The reload button is also the melee button. If you're close to someone and push that button, you will knock them with the butt of the weapon, etc. Lesson learned, move on. These are repeatable, randomized events and not the end of the world. I had to kill the same guy because I didn't realize I didn't have the money to pay him when I lost. ......c 'est la vie. Could also be tied to your settings for auto aim / locking on. I have my sensitivities set really low personally as I hated the way it would pull me toward targets that I didn't want to engage. 2) The rifle is on your horse. You need to grab it before you start any of these types of activities. You'll see what is equipped on you when you're on foot. I always equip the weapons I want before getting off and then make sure they appear on my back before I engage. 3) The crafting system isn't overly complicated depending on what you're trying to craft but then again, it isn't required or necessary either. You can essentially play the whole game without crafting anything if you want to. I don't craft things except for certain types of ammo and that's really simple. 4) What else did you want from the bear? I think I got a claw and the skin. Check your inventory but either way, the skin is the main point. 5) So since you won't elaborate on the downed girl encounter, I'm guessing you dropped the bear skin and it disappeared when you decided to help the woman get to wherever she needed to go? I would have chose the skin over the woman but either way, all legendary animal skins will automatically go to the Trapper if you lose track of them. Check with your local Trapper. Sounds like you're insistent on believing the game is crap regardless. ......and quite frankly, I don't see the experience changing for you anytime soon with that sort of focus. Again, if you're struggling with a part of the game there are plenty of folks here willing to help. .....but if you're simply looking to express your dissatisfaction with it, that's fine too but I just wouldn't expect and overwhelming acceptance from others here in regard to your opinion. I guess my advice at this point would be don't try to force a square peg in a round hole if you sincerely don't like the game regardless of your reasons. It's not worth the frustration.
