  2. Ok guys. I’ve only played for a second and first impressions are that YES it looks different. The movement seems a micro bit jittery but the sharpness and clarity while panning is less nauseating. Problem is I’m in the swamp and it’s very foggy. But instant impression was yes, it’s noticeably different.

  3. What Poggy said is excellent. And a perfect answer to this. Regarding Gavin’s friend, I’ve now encountered him in every town at least once and several times out in the wild. Don’t worry, you’ll definitely see him again.

  5. Thanks for the taking the plunge I hope nothing bad or buggy comes up and hopefully it is a solution for the current situation until (if ever) it is sorted out by R*. Please keep us posted.

  6. Hey guys, I actually streamed it for a month and it was extremely glitchy for me. I had a wired connection and pretty good speeds for my internet too. If you buy a used PS3, and a red dead disc it would be about the same price as paying the monthly fee for PS now for like 4 months. Also just a heads up... There's no chat available for the PS Now version of RDR. Hope this helps.

  7. Hey guys, have been a lurker for a while, when I saw the theory that without the patch the game would look better, I decided to try it out. Guess what, after playing a while to check if it wasn't placebo, it actually does look better. Looks like something went wrong in the 1.02 development.

  8. Only way you can play it on ps4 is through the PS Now subscription.

  9. Ok, I can´t play the game anymore. It is the same for me with playing trevor in GTA V. I will not kill or suppress and abuse poor people. This game shows me right now, that money is the only thing, for survive. It shows the violence against the poor. It shows how the guys of rockstar think. Ok I must realize that is not a game for me. You have no chance to play a person, that is no killer or murder. This game triggers me in many ways. I´m out. It is the same for me to playing Trevor in GTAV. I can not identify with a murderer and I can not play one. I will go my own way in a open world game like this. I will not go this way. You can think I´m whiny now. I wish you all good Luck now that the game receives a patch in the near upcoming future, but I will deinstall it now for all time. This game shows me a pervert way. The game shows me the meaning of the heads of rockstar. It is not a game anymore for me. It shows violence against the poor. I can only play a murder or killer and not an outlaw that can change this missstands and live free. Sorry my traumatization goes on with the game. This is no game for me. It shows me the world in that we live.

  10. There's a difference between stranger missions, stranger dialogues, stranger ongoing events, random encounters, and quests. For example, a stranger mission series is indicated by a question mark or letters in a white zone on the map. These are missable and time sensitive. Some of these optional missions arise from camp members. Some are unlocked at only set chapters, some have prerequisites, some only open at set honor ranks. A random encounter is a white dot echo on the map, and some/many of these respawn or reoccur. stranger dialogues are when you have non-mission interactions with weirdoes across the map. They are usually multiple staged and change post epilogue. In that sense they are time sensitive. ongoing events, like the home building, follow set time/place patterns and you can either join in at that time, or at a later stage (it will be different), or miss them. It's hard to do all theses without knowing them in advance. some camp member item requests are only available at certain chapters after certain interactions - like playing poker with person X during chapter 3 - they are easily missable. easter eggs vary between places of special interest, unique items, unique documents, and time sensitive events (being at certain place and time).

  11. I thought some stranger missions don't respawn. Do those as soon as you see them.

  12. People have confirmed elsewhere the Gavin guy does. Weird. See the mislabelled Garry thread for more on this guy. Edit: what do they mean random encounters don't respawn? I've seen the bounty hunters carrying a victim a hundred times!

  13. Yeah, that's pretty much the idea. However, most people interfere with spoilers when they are looking for help on a particular subject, and then that's how they usually get spoiled because when your looking for ideas and help and go into a discussion of the game, of course someone is going to let a spoiler slip.

  14. I kind of like bounties. I like the challenge of wave after wave trying to kill you because, without the bounties, the game wouldn't be so action-packed, it would literally be do anything you want without having trouble, and to me, that would get boring. I need good gunfights.

  16. Virtually impossible seems like a challenge and one I gladly accept 😅. Yeah you're correct it's not required for the the "100%" criteria but I've already got that achievement, I'm trying to get all the ones I missed. I've already f'd up this second play through by missing one of the companion missions (timed poker event) so after I've done with this file looks like I'll need a third one haha.

  17. Again for those who don’t wanna read the whole thread, best picture with much less blur is: -turn boost mode off (on ps4 pro, System>settings) -Turn HDR off -Turn Camera follow to off or low

  18. Oh, that's nice, I didn't do that route, when I was there I kept going up and down near the trapper and it took ages to spawn 1 cougar... when I went to the other place it was like 1 cougar every night or two, it only took me more than an hour because I was nitpicky and only wanted to kill 3* rating cougars. You can go on foot between the shack where I slept and the forest where they spawn, it's super close.

  19. The above post is correct, BUT it also worth noting that when you replay a mission through the progress screen you go back in with a pre-determined amount of things NOT what you actually had at the time. I had 99 chewing tobacco to help with Dead Eye on the replay I had precisely zero chewing tobacco. So now I make a manual save before each mission and reload that to get the gold rather than using the replay mission option or screen.

  20. True. This is one reason I've moved from free roam to the story now. I now want to focus on getting through the story missions.

  21. Unfortunately spoilers are everywhere even in places you may not even think about. I was browsing the red dead wiki site reading up on some of the gang members thinking it would be perfectly safe. Nope. I came across a major spoiler on one of the gang members bios. If you want to absolutely make sure that nothing is spoiled for you I would suggest avoiding the internet altogether.

  22. Obviously, it's totally up to parental choice. I, for example, am very lenient regarding that kind of stuff - I grew up watching wholly inappropriate media etc. But, to be clear, the game is an 18 in Europe; it deals with multiple adult themes and has clear adult content like: violence, sex, drugs, racism, rape, alcohol, smoking, gambling, torture, murder, crime, swearing, slavery, prostitution, guns, knives, and the such like. I would imagine most parents wouldn't approve of this material for non-adults, especially non-teens.

  23. Yeah, even the RDR reddit has zero mention of the issue. Just stupid memes. Seems people might just be ignoring it. Haven’t played in days. Might give it a chance tonight.
