Well I just risked it and bought the game. I now can confirm that you can install and play this game offline on ps4. The console will indeed update to v6.00. The update is present on the disc of the game and will install it. Then the game installs and you can just enjoy the game without any connection required. I'm having a lot of fun with this game. Thanks for the help all.

You can use them to buy anything. The exchange rate is basically 1 gold bar =$20. Look in the bottom right corner for the button to press to "buy with gold" or something like that.

Doesn't sound like anything new to me. Been seeing it since I started and it hasn't increased much imo, decreased a little. But I assume it's partly the challenges they are doing. Even though we're supposedly encouraged to do them in the showdowns and such. Ngl, I've blown people up for that 2 in 1 dynamite challenge. But I let them kill me a few times before poofing away.

Lack of Content. People are just bored as hell with the game, and their dripfed content and PvP mode updates aren't helping anything in Free Roam which should be their main focus. There are a million PvP games with the same game modes. There are few to non with the Free Roam aspect. People have already hunted to the point of extinction, same with fishing. Stranger missions are being done in people's sleep considering they played the hell out of them. As long as there isn't anything noteworthy being released in Free Roam you will see this increase at a fast rate.

Yeah, everyone can craft fire bottles, I think, without pamphlet. It never registers as read.

Food share = dumb idea

I got the fire bottle one when I was just starting out, and it never registers as "read," but I am able to craft them when I have the ingredients. I read it after every update, but so far it's still glitched. Already reported it to R*.

On the upside, now my char is able to survive on fresh air and the fumes from am empty baked beans can for days at a time, I has lots more to sell at the butchers. Win.

I came out of a free roam event today, and it suddenly said I'd achieved my maximum weight ... What? I was underweight a second ago???

Just buy the special spinner it is the lure for everything.

Be careful. There are posses out there and many of them that, as soon as you join, the Posse leader selects friendly fire and blows your head off for the XP.

Really think Doctors should prescribe vaporizers for people looking to quit or really need to find a better way to quit. They all never recommend it, which is confusing when they tell you to quit everytime in their smartact ways. Heck they blame everything wrong that you went to them for is caused by smoking once knowing you smoke. Lets face the facts. Its only "better" for the reason you're not getting tar and smoke in your lungs. Always raise a eyebrow that some people say "Oh, I've never smoked cigs before I started using this". What?! You do know this stuff is the rockafeller of smoking nicotine right? Plus e-juice is a heck of a lot easier to quit than tobacco itself. It was the only way for me to quit. Which makes me think is nicotine really that addictive or was it all the jet fuel and poisons that was the major addiction plus the habit of the "hand to mouth and exhale fixation". Which vaporizers help with. If only they do't leak all over anything. Always thought smoking was dumb as a kid and vowed to never use them. Well high school came around life was always stressful and saw Eddie Van-Halen smoking and placing it on his head of his guitar. Dummy me smoked one felt more calm and chill than ever. Also thought "Man my guitar playing sounds so much better too" became a smoker and lived in misery every morning until vaporizers came around.
