  1. Hey guys I look for people who wants to join my Van der Linde Gang. My goal is to find people for my Gang and recreate the Characters of the Van der Linde Gang, do some Missions or just having fun in free roam. what u need to do to join: answer under this topic with ur PSN name and which member u want to play or add me on PSN You only need to be dressed like the character and have the same hair etc. So you DO NOT need to create a new one with a similar face or so. 2. There always seems to be enough grumbling about this or that in the game. Last night, I enjoyed a nearly perfect evening so, I thought I would share. I spawned into Saint Denis without much thought about what the night would hold, except I knew I had a brand new treasure map that I had just won upon turning 80. My only real goal for the evening was to take it easy and go collect on the treasure. So, I spawn in, head over to the Mail Station to pick up my catalog purchases and stock up on ammo, etc. when suddenly... "YOU HAVE BEEN TARGETED FOR ASSASSINATION" I've seen this movie before, so I jump on my horse immediately and head straight out of town, in the opposite direction from the bright red dot and at full speed. I get caught in the marshes and the assassin is eventually able to catch up to me with about 2 minutes left on the timer. He fires at me while riding at full speed and misses. Then I hit a fallen log on the side of the road and go head first into the dirt. He's got me, dead to rights. As I am slowly picking myself back up, he's right on top of me. And then foolishly, he decides to lasso me instead of just shoot me dead. I break the lasso immediately, ignore the horse, and make like I am going to take off running by jumping into the trees and bushes beside the road. His second mistake, he takes the bait and rides full ahead into the trees and brush behind me. Only, I'm not really running. I've drawn both sawed off shotguns and he rides right into them. Bang, Bang, Dead. I see him respawn and head back in my direction, but by then, I am long gone and he's out of time. Victory. So, back to my treasure hunt... it's half way across the country, now. Off I go. Only, there's a poker game going on in Flatneck Station which is on my rout. So, I might as well stop in and play a few hands. First couple, I lose a little or fold out. Then I get a great Hand, Aces over Kings, same suit. I win the big pot and and have almost 40 dollars on the table. Settle up. Take my leave with a smile and head out back for treasure. Victory. I finally get to the area where the treasure is supposed to be and there's a random encounter there. A young lady's horse has died, stranding her in the desert. Of course, I offer to help. It's an ambush! I have to fight my way clear of a a couple of dozen attackers in 2-3 waves. But they're no match for me and I enjoy looting each and every one. Victory. I finally get to the treasure and discover $150 bucks plus a few trinkets. Victory! As I am riding out, the young lady from before is back. Same dead horse. Same sob story. Only this time, she isn't playing me and really needs a ride. So, I take her to meet her brother at the Fort, drop her off and collect the reward. Victory. I thought about playing a bit more, but it was a work night and everything had been so much fun and had worked out in my favor at every turn, so I just took it as a "perfect evening" that didn't need me hanging around to get spoiled. And I logged out, very happy with my evening adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed the night. I hope my little tale didn't bore anyone too much and if you read this far, thank you. I hope you guys all have great nights like these as well, just not when you're coming after me. Cheers!

  4. That's because griefing as a word is over used. Kind of like the word, troll, problematic, toxic...etc. Some people are simply snakes in the grass.. Some people are just assholes. For me personally.. I don't care whats problematic. I can sniff a out a punk move from a mile away. I believe in treating others how you want to be treated. So if someone is being a an asshole, I just assume he or she, wants the same sort of treatment in return. And it simply turns into a game of one upmanship and top that

  5. I honestly agree with you @Harlock1796 we do need outlaws in this game or there would be no fun for honest cowboys. We gotta have villains to chase and bring to justice or it would be quite dull ! Hope the bounty Hunter role let's us chase and capture villains as it would really up the excitement !! Lol here's to Hopeing. Good luck out there my fellow gunslinger !

  6. While i strongly agree with opening tickets and insisting to these, i'm a bit sad that R* on their side do not read forums dedicated to Red Dead like this one. Usually these places are full of ideas, new problems and glitches and most of all serious people discussing situations and not some 11 years old kids spamming the twitter news with trash. When i was opening tickets i suggested to them (with links) to start watching this forum here as it has many goodies. OnTopic: Showdowns are completely broken for me the last 6 days. Losing daily challenges and all.

  7. No worries. To be honest, the remark is borderline but not aimed at someone here or anyone named and I really didn't pay much mind to it. The only reason I brought any of this up was to clarify the rule when it was questioned by someone else. This has been the 2nd time in the last few days someone challenged it and I just wanted to set the record straight. It's all good.

  8. Thanks for doing that and respecting the rules. No, the above also falls under the naming and shaming rules. Even with evidence that shows someone is trolling, cheating, etc. in the game, we do not allow the naming & shaming or "calling out" of any other players and/or fellow members regardless of the circumstances. We urge folks to use the in-game reporting features and R* Support site to report such activities and to submit their evidence. If a member here is being trolled or harassed in these forums, via PM or otherwise, report the post and/or contact one of us (the staff) so we can handle it. From the bits I saw of the video, that example should be fine as C20 blurred out the offender's name. If anyone has questions about the rules, please ask us.: Name and shame: Please don't be tempted to"name and shame" or call out other players in Red Dead Online that you might have had a dispute or other issue with. We don't allow those sorts of posts.

  9. Sorry, I haven't been clear. I 100% agree with both of you. I wouldn't steal a deer off someone's horse (as opposed to picking one up if I found it laying unclaimed on the ground, as I mentioned - I'd do that if there were no players in the vicinity, and it seemed to just be going to waste). I'm boringly 'white hat', and never shoot first or mess with other people playing their game. However, I do think that someone stealing a deer, or whatever, is a fairly 'legitimate' activity for an outlaw. I've caught a couple of people doing it to me in the past, and I have, equally legitimately, shot their face off. In the absence of being able to do proper 'hold ups', (trains, stores, stage coaches etc) stealing people's carcasses is virtually the only legitimate paying outlaw work a player can do in free roam. I quite like the fact that they're going to the effort. Game is so plentiful and easy to hunt, it's clearly more efficient to go and get your own damn deer, rather than trying to take mine and getting a bullet in your brain for your trouble. I do not commend people for doing it, but neither do I condemn them in the same way that I do for random killing. Stealing someone's stuff because its worth money to you is not the same level of d!ck move as shooting someone for no reason and no profit. Expect to get shot for it, though. Messing with someone's stuff - horse or cargo - should count as a hostile act, and turn the offender red, but I don't think it does.

  11. Haha, My spidey sense is tingling!! @Major Dammidge Yes, I brought the Hungarian Halfbreed Piebald Tobiano. He's a level 24 war horse, so certainly not the best stats. But of all my horses (And I have the special edition TB) he's my preferred all-rounder for free-roam. I had the free red arabian on my PS account. It's skittish and flighty even with full bonding. Both these are stallions, but at least in the singleplayer, I didn't notice much difference between male v female. Breed seems more influential. I'm tempted to get a second shire and make it a mare (first is a stallion) and see if they act differently.
