i renamed my dog to stew-pid dog cause he keep running into my stew campfire and burn his self to death....

I never understood the color choices for this myself but it is handy to know. I confused blue and pink for the longest time though. lol Should have went with yellow, orange, then red.

Just a shot in the dark, but did you try checking the fence? I had the Carcano disappear from my inventory after the mission to rescue Abigail from the Pinkertons, but went to a gunsmith and was able to simply buy it again. Never mind, OP said he did that.

I think I remember reading this was going to be an option. There's a lot that could improve. Cripps and his never ending packing up camp is one thing.

I know they do it on GTA V frequently but I have not heard of them doing it often for RDR2. I think you really need to be frustrated and stuck for them to hand out gold.

Yes it could be worse for sure, agree with you there ; with that said - it just gets frustrating and this is a good platform for venting a bit with other gamers ... it’s therapeutic to me to know I’m not the only one, lol .

I think a cool option would be to allow traders to hire bounty hunters to escort them. Similar to the stranger missions.

Visit the weaponshop in Rhodes as early as possible, go to the right side of it and observe the "prisoner" in the basement. Free him and grab the Lancaster rifle that is waiting for you there. Upgraded it & give it express-ammo. There is another sidemission that gives you a semiautomatic shotgun that is worth finding. North of Strawberry, close to Little Creek River lives an old angry lady. Visit her and go to her basement to picl the semiautomatic shotgun. The key to everything else: https://rdr2map.com/

Wow, that really ain't much of a response. I feel like at this point, there is just a lot of things they are ignoring right now because they want to focus on the online end of the game so things in the story are getting pushed aside which makes no sense to me.
