  1. Great avatar Hopefully we get even more active as the release of RDR2 draws nearer
  2. Yep, join the rest of us. Some new information will be coming soon I sincerely hope! Welcome aboard.
  3. Hey Drew welcome to the forums - I like your avatar! Glad that you decided to register and yes, it should hopefully make the wait easier... Better than refreshing the Rockstar Newswire 10x a day
  4. I came across this thread on Reddit and I think it raises a good point: The GTA Online portion of GTA V was delayed for several weeks after the game was launched and this gave everyone time to go through the story mode and enjoy that. It also meant that the people who would usually jump straight into Online and start grinding, gaining levels way beyond your average player, could do that from the start. Looking back I think it was actually a pretty cool approach (whether intentional or not). Of course having the freedom to choose is always nice, but in this case maybe the devs are doing us a favour by forcing us to play through the story mode first?
  5. With the 5 minute timer that they put on invincibility in Grand Theft Auto V, I wouldn't count on invincibility in RDR2 being unrestricted
  6. Hello and welcome - what to do is easy! Find some topics that interest you and dive into the discussion
  7. Pleased that you found us Re the lack of information just remember you're in the same boat as the rest of us!
  8. Welcome aboard! Breaking Bad fan?
  9. I agree, and with the in-game city of Los Santos having been used as a "model city" for real-life studies and scenarios, I think it's safe to say that Rockstar has come along way in terms of creating a real atmosphere. Hopefully they carry this over to RDR2 (and no reason to think they won't). They can and should tweak it of course (a town in the Old West shouldn't feel like a modern day city) but that feeling of real activity and real people going about their day should persist.
  10. I agree... this could be a huge game changer, especially for those of us coming off having played Grand Theft Auto V for several years. Also, in terms of workload from Rockstar, it wouldn't be as much work for them as it would be for say, Los Santos. Because in the West the towns were smaller along with the buildings, the latter were also more sparse and spread out. This is a great idea/feature/function and I'm very interested to see how they've approached it in RDR2. But as you say, I won't be holding my breath!
  11. Also, remember that there was 9-12 months between when GTA V was first announced and before we got any images or information... but I guess the difference is that here the game itself is due to be released in 6 months!!
  12. Gangs were a big part of the crime back in those days and equally as well-known. They're a major part of the plot in RDR and I'd expect them to feature even more in RDR2, both in single player and online.
  13. Playstation Flash Sale https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/flash-sale/cid=STORE-MSF77008-FLASHSALE17LP including The Uncharted Collection for only $8 - that's seriously good, 3 x AAA games for just 8 bucks! https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection/cid=UP9000-CUSA02320_00-UNCHARTEDTRILOGY
  14. Great idea, I tweaked the topic title slightly. So are you a PC gamer? I'm PS4 so will post any nice PS4 deals I come across. Edit: in fact I literally just came across this (not even PS4 either!): Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition for PC or Xbox One. Just use the code EMCREBF43 and you'll get it for $20. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832777172&cm_re=Witcher_3%3a_Wild_Hunt_Complete_Edition_-_PC-_-32-777-172-_-Product
  15. I sure as heck hope not, E3 is still a ways away. While everyone thinks that Rockstar Games never go to E3, sometimes they do: https://www.rdr2.org/news/red-dead-redemption-2-at-e3-because-rockstar-does-announce-stuff-at-the-expo/ Whether they'll want and/or need to have RDR2 at E3 I am not sure. They could steal the show if they did have some Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal/infodump there, but then again they could also create mass hysteria by giving us that same info any time we want. In the end I think it's unlikely we'll get anything about RDR2 at E3, but you never know, the longer we go with no new information the higher the odds of RDR2 at E3
  16. I'll be pre-ordering or buying day one. So unless the reviews BOMB in those first few hours, then nothing could stop me from getting it
  17. Hey @Jamesie sounds good, just getting my head around it all Will post back here when I do
  18. Hey James! I would highly encourage finishing Undead Nightmare if you can before RDR2 releases, although that said, if you are a PC only player then you might have quite a bit of time to do that in (unfortunately). We don't even have a concrete console release date, let alone a PC date. Anyway, welcome aboard
  19. @Archbell I like your weathering and effects idea and in general, I think the weather could and should play a big part in creating the atmosphere in the Wild West. Details like all this will matter when there is only so much attributable to the era (the Wild West) that you can play around with.
  20. I'm not sure how I feel about this either. I mean, there is only so many shades of "cowboy brown" that your jacket could be, but then again how authentic to we want the Western experience to be? Will they introduce machine guns for example too? There wasn't any purple jackets back in the Wild West!
  21. haha welcome Vick. Pleased that you are keen to enter the competition and hope to see you posting around here often!
  22. Hey there and welcome! There is a decent discussion on whether or not there will be a delay until next year here - Right now it's what everyone wants to know!
  23. Welcome aboard, pleased to have you here and like the rest of us, you're clearly waiting on further info
  24. Wow, you must have strong discipline!!
