  1. you're all forgetting this was set 12 years before RDR, seems to me Armadillo made a decent recovery after the cholera epidemic.
  2. That would be RDR3, not a DLC for the prequel to RDR I agree with @Foxtrot I think we have all of the DLC content from pre-order that we'll ever see. And since this thread already existed, i'll go back to my other post in the original thread and say I would want to see the story line of the surviving gang members as DLC, like Sadie, or Charles, etc.
  3. wow, i bought the digital version, 100gb and change wasn't it on xbox? took me maybe 2.5 hours to install and ready to play. All depends on your internet speeds. I did switch my router to IPv6 for that though, so that helped a little bit.
  4. doubt it. I had almost 10k at one point in chapter 4, do all the treasure hunts and find the hidden gold nuggets and bars around the map. then missions, i rarely bought ammo, collected it from the bodies. You can make some good cash going on killing sprees also. Probably could have had more but i paid a bunch on bounties getting the red hat.
  5. Your save game screen only holds a certain number of saves, if i recall correctly. once you've used all of those up you'll have to reuse them. If you reuse the saves on the bottom first (the oldest) you can still go back and replay previous missions as far back as your saves allow. If i'm mistaken and the save game list is endless then nevermind. just keep saving in new slots.
  6. I did the mission with Kieran in Chapter 3, caught the fish then. Not sure if you can do it outside the mission, and he won't give it to you in Chapter 4. Make sure you're not in an active mission, or have the Wanted meter, or a conflict with enemies nearby, the fish notification won't show then.
  7. i thought that was talisman you could equip and only the 2 equipped were active?
  8. not sure i can narrow it down to 3 i'll go by the ones i've finished and go back and play the most. In no particular order: TheHunter: Call of the Wild Far Cry 3 & 4 Sniper Elite 3 & 4 Yes that's 5 but i play Far Cry and Sniper so much, that between the 2 versions there's no significant difference in which i play more.
  9. Similar? like yeah they have meat and veggies but that's it. Roast is good in the summer, best thing i like about it is you can take the left over meat and make sandwiches. Stew is a good cold weather food. different veggies usually found in stew. Sauce is thicker, fills you up more at least how i make it it does Different veggies in stew, corn peas, smaller stuff easier to eat in a spoon. Roast has taters, celery, carrots, etc. in larger chunk and slices. So for me a roast is better in the warm months, a stew is better in the cold months.
  10. I wouldn't buy it, there's nothing in the RDR story to go beyond the boundaries of the first map. Maybe as a DLC they could add content for the RDR2 map. A full game rewrite wouldn't make the money as most have already purchased/played/grown bored of RDR. it might even be a loss. Sure you'd get the dedicated fans and the really curious, but the majority wouldn't go back.
  11. my cousin's family sure did, the 4 middle kids anyway 7 siblings in that "good mormon" family lol I agree with @buttlint though, i don't think Arthur was more than the favorite uncle. Unlike my cousins, there's just some things you never do.
  12. search is a wonderful forum feature as there's a few threads on this map already
  13. wanted status can affect these also.
  14. True, just get to eat more eggs when i want a runny yolk on my steak and screw it up lol I do the throw it in and mix it up when i'm doing a scramble with bacon and taters and whatnot in it.
  15. my son went to a "Cooking Matters" class and the instructor showed him an easy way to do scrambled eggs. He taught me an i love it. I make breakfast burritos now with them. Put 4 eggs in a sauce pan, 1 tablespoon or so of butter, and 1 tablespoon of creme fraiche or sour cream. Set a burner on high, wait for it to heat up then put the pan on for about 30 seconds or just until the eggs start to cook. remove from burner, stir for about 10 - 15 seconds, then put back on the burner, stir constantly for about 30 seconds or so, then remove from burner and stir for another 30 seconds or so, the pan will continue to cook the eggs. return to burner, repeat the process until the eggs are almost done, add your seasons then (if you add them earlier it colors the eggs) return to burner and repeat the 30 second cycle until they're done.
  16. that's what i've been doing. i found a cowboy beans recipe that i make myself sick on it's so damn good. had to tweak it a bit though from the original recipe.
  17. you can't overwrite the autosave with a manual save. for what you're doing i'd turn autosave off and just use manual saves. Don't over write your previous save until you run out room and are forced to, then overwrite the oldest (bottom) saves first.
  18. I'd like to have some formal culinary education, even if it's just like a cooking matters class at the local university satellite campus here. i don't think i do too bad of a job, some things i make are just killer and I just can't stop eating them lol But to do that with more items would be awesome.
  19. Xmas was the last time i smoked one, it was only about 7 lb though, and we had one similar sized that we did a salt crust bake on, my brother doesn't like smoked meat. I don't think he's human, he doesn't like bacon either.
  20. me either. I'm just playing it through, i'll look all this stuff up after finish the game and see if it's worth another play through to go check out what i may have missed.
  21. yes but the location you find the horses in the story mode is in the Murfree Brood area, not the swamps, so they'd have nothing to do with the Nightfolk. OP also asks And the answer was yes, I've seen these horses in Butcher's Creek, the Murfree Brood's town, if you can call it a town.
  22. highly doubt it. Those people are in the swamps, least as much as I have seen. Never seen one up north where you find these horses.
  23. Thanks for the spoiler!
  24. why spoil it before you do it? save the game first, do the encounter, then read up on it and go back to see what you missed.
