  1. That's a Murfree Brood horse, you can find them randomly in the story mode in their area. I've seen some in Butcher Creek.
  2. what burns me up are the idiots that don't understand what racism is but yell at people for being racist. my favorite (if you can call it that) "Your racist for talking about Muslims", no that's a religion not a race.....
  3. gonna have to try this i just found the food thread.
  4. Guac is good in the summer if it's home-made. I don't care for any store or restaurant guac, at least none i've tried yet. i make a big bowl of guac and home made tortilla chips for the 4th every year. I've tried the cinnamon burgers, they're not bad but i didn't think they were anything special. Candied bacon goes well with them.
  5. just found this thread luckily i live in the land of potatoes, and yes, pepper is a must for my mashed taters. however, cooking them for a family gathering i will not add pepper or salt, i let each person season their own, grandma can't eat salt and my uncle hates pepper, i usually don't claim him as a relative in public. for a single serving (might be double for most people, i'm not a small guy) you need 2 or 3 fist sized Idaho Russet taters, can't make good mashed taters without Idaho taters, nothing else compares. It's our soil Clean well, leave skins on chop em up and boil for 15 min or so in a bowl add 2 tablespoons butter, 2 or 3 strips of cooked bacon chopped into small bits, a spoon or 2 of chives, and a good squirt of ranch dressing. then add the taters and mash them, mixing it all together really well. add salt and pepper to taste. If htey're a bit on the dry side add another small squirt of ranch dressing, until they become almost creamy. add cheese, chili, or gravy as topping and chow down. If you have a good cut of steak, do a smoke rub on it then cook medium rare and move straight to the plate, don't rest if first. use the juices and run off from the steak as more flavoring to your mashed taters. If you do it this way swap out the ranch for a splash of milk so as not to take away from teh steak/rub flavor.
  6. Nice! i'll have to check out that thread i was just looking up old west style recipes over the weekend. Very hard to find legit recipes though, they've mostly all been converted to use now, like pinch and dash and splash are 1/2 tsp 1/4 tsp etc. Every summer around memorial day or father's day, whenever all of my brother's familes and mine can get together we do home made ice cream. One of my sis-in-laws found a bag method that was fun the first time. you put all the ice cream ingredients in a ziploc type bag, put that bag in a larger ziploc bag with ice and some rock salt, then shake the damn thing till it forms ice cream in the small bag. Kids love it, but when you do that 3 or 4 times it gets super tiring. Give me the gallon bucket and crank any day over that lol
  7. nah, it's up there but not the best. Just thought of one i played over and over, can't believe i forgot about it. GoldenEye 007 single player mode i did over and over and over, and the multiplayer was hella fun, i liked it more than Doom.
  8. i've never had lumpy icecream unless it had something in it like chocolate chunks or nuts, etc. Ben & Jerry's Americone Dream is heaven in a tub. I don't want to eat ice cream wherever @SNAK3S is at lol
  9. you would get credit, if you'd start them early in the game. I'm only on chapter 6 (1 mission into it) and have all challenges complete except the horseman. they just take a bit of time for some. Take a break from your rush through to the finish and do some.
  10. 2 spots for cougar that never fail (before the epilogue) up north near the legendary moose is a good spot, usually right near the river or just west of it. That bastard kills me more than i kill him. I've also seen one in the woods just southwest of annesbury, it's usually just a 1 star every time i've seen it though. second spot is near the trapper in West Elizabeth. once you turn away from the creek that feeds Lake Owanjila and head north, when you get into the low hills there's usually a panther on the hill to the right. if you camp near there you can do the cover scent/crouch walk and get your study/tracking done before shooting it in the head. if the cougar isn't in the 2nd spot then it's usually from a bear or wolves nearby if you need those pelts.
  11. badgers are nocturnal, you can do the same camp/hunt/restore tactic by the oil derrick south east of Valentine, a couple spawn around there. you can get rats there also if you're going for all the trapper gear, every once in a while you might see a possum as well.
  12. saves should be under the profiles, so they shouldn't be affected. I've done this on the xbox with a hard copy then buying the digital version later without any issues. I upgraded the version though. I don't think you'd have any issues if you used the same version, downgrading might cause problems.
  13. Red X is where you ride to and camp, actual camp is about on the blue X. Panther sometimes spawn to the east in the red circle, but most often just southeast in the green circle. using cover scent and slowly crouch walking and using eagle eye i get a panther every time. Not always 3 star but always a panther in one of those 2 spots. I find them there so often now i never go south of those areas. Just reload the save and look again. i never use bait always use cover scent wear headphones if you can. Headphones makes it so much easier to hear the panther growl when you get close. when you hear that stop, don't move but to turn in circles looking with eagle eye. I have auto aim enabled and frequently target the brush as i turn around until it locks on the panther. Then you have to wait for a headshot, (and don't forget to use dead eye), usually when it's charging at you. I die every few tries lol but then just restore to your save after camping and try again.

    Game Cave Ideas

In my last house i rented i had a nice game cave setup in the spare bedroom. blackout curtain over the window, small desk with my gaming pc, 40" TV and Xbox 360 on the other wall, hand me down lazy boy recliner, loved that chair, already broken in and so so comfy. I'd fall asleep playing games at times it was so comfy. Ugly baby poop brown color though. Computer chair was an executive type reclining desk chair, forget what brand. not quite as comfy as the recliner but comfy enough to endure a 8 or 10 hour game session. It was also a broken-in hand me down Had a 5 bulb ceiling fan, different color bulb in each socket, i'd just screw in the bulb for the color i wanted hte room to be that session. White glossy walls to reflect the color back. Blacklight decorations. Spent many a weekend hidden away from the world killing Orcs or whatever in that room

    POP UP Adds

Thank's Lonestar! that drove me crazy for a morning
  16. Panthers are really quite simple. What i do: Take the road to the area, just south east of the fallen down church the road splits. camp there till night. that will put you just south of the road into the forest. Don't bother with bait USE COVER SCENT it's a must unless you like feeding the panthers, equip a rifle SAVE YOUR GAME!! crouch walk around the camp, usually they spawn to the east and south east, sometimes you can hear them growl from your camp. I wear headphones so i can hear them growl easier Once you hear them growl, stop, activate eagle eye, search around you for the cat. If it's not a 3 star cat, load the save above and try again.
  17. Ah you're talking about online. Wish people would pay attention to what forum they're posting in Could be any number of reason for online causes.
  18. Since the 3rd edition was created in the early/mid 1800's, i'm pretty sure the edition we used in school was much later. We used the Revised 14th, and probably 15th edition when i was in school. If you can believe anything on wikipedia
  19. Not the right kind
  20. I've thought about this before. I'd live in West Elizabeth, in the Big Valley west of Mount Shann, south south west of the trapper, just across the creek that feeds Lake Owanjila. Got some good flat land there for a garden, the creek for water, the surrounding hills and lake for fish and animals. Could live there easily off the grid like and support myself indefinitely. Plus it's a days ride or so to Strawberry for any supplies (and women) needed i couldn't craft myself.
  21. the only 2 encounter's i've seen so far are the 2 looters as in the OP, and are there more?
  22. if you have the money and surrender they take 80% of the bounty., if you don't have that much they take all you have and clear your bounty.
  23. Go to the sheriff and surrender, when they turn hostile target them and press Y i think it is and don't move. they'll arrest you, you'll pay %80 of the bounty, or whatever money you have will be taken. then you'll be clear. Even with a bounty you can go into town. If the dotted border circle on the map is red stay away from lawmen and don't do any other crimes, but you can still go play poker and get a room/bath and whatnot.
  24. that makes no sense at all. It IS a computer lol just in a different box. The 30 second wait is for the capacitors and such to release all their electricity. Computers have a fail safe that they won't turn on until that is done, so does Xbox, otherwise you'll have a situation like Dell did with the GX270 system and exploding capacitors. No it's not mandatory to wait for this discharge to happen (when it works it's done instantly), but it's smart.
  25. same. I'm finding that i'm not really up for a 2nd play through. I just started chapter 6 and have everything completed except challenges and such that require access to New Austin (Legendary fish/animals, bones, etc). I'll get the 100% and call it good, maybe go back in a while and play it again but not right away. 3-5 hours a night almost every night since release and now i'm finding it hard to return to, to finish the game.
