  1. Its not my fault the idiot in charge of ONLINE.. Turned his back on 10 years of R* having Private and Free Aim lobbies.. Even the article states.. If it doesn't work, they will add it. Well. IT DOES NOT WORK. So lets cut the bullsh*t and add it.
  2. It just loses its hard lock once you aim up. Its effects nothing if you're quick with flicking up.
  3. You reported someone for playing the game? Why even waste your time doing that? Anyways.. As far as this update goes. The new content is fun. Sadly,, its either ruined by auto aim and lack of proper host lobbies. And gating co-op missions on honor level is still lame. The new convoluted bullsh*t panzy safe space hostility system is a complete joke. And made "FREE" roam more like "CONTROL" roam. Which is easily abused.. Players can still easily ruin everything you're doing...and never even have to fire a shot the the player they are trolling, while they themselves hide in defensive mode. POKER... has 'private lobbies'. Which boggles my mind consider R* has such a hard on for not allowing players to play how they want. The new HDR options are much needed. Faster gun swaps is great.
  4. This game is obviously for me. Its not my fault the idiots in charge are trying to shove free aim players and auto aim players into one lobby. I guess PC will do this game wonders. Problem is using a mouse takes the fun out of free aim and makes shooting toooo accurate. Theres sort of a balance to using a controller when manually aiming. Im really not sure why they won't split the player base.. based on aim settings. This is something R* has been doing for over 10 years in their open world games. Including the last Red Dead. Now.. they all of a sudden want to re-invent the wheel. Sure.. maybe in the future they might add it. But, why wait? As long as auto aim exists.. and NO private lobbies. That's a big chunk of its player base stuck in limbo. Hell.. they added private lobbies for poker.

Because that would be too 'easy' for them to add. WHaaaaat? Ya.. No sh*t.. I want to be "WALLED OFF" from auto aim. That's the point.. Walled off in every way possible from pvp to pve. Build the damn wall! The fact that players now are stuck in purgatory until everyone stops playing before they even think about adding private lobbies or free aim lobbies is a joke. Who the hell is this guy being interviewed? And why was the person interviewing not pressing him him on such a stupid reply to such a common sense problem. That even in his own words.. would be easy to solve. I need to go bang my head off the wall now..
  6. Its really got nothing to do with pvp. And I totally understand if you don't want to pvp. Its not for everyone. Which is why this game needs private lobbies for people to easily find role players and other like minded players to play with. Public games are filled with all kinds of wackos.. My main point was about shooting and immersion. And when you brought up immersion, I just rolled with it. Because auto aim does suck the immersion right of shooting. (among other things) And the end of the day, one of Red Dead main game play mechanics is shooting. And auto aim ruins shooting. For pvp folks.. Auto aim + Ability cards.+Tonic Chugging'. Has pretty much killed off any real competitive pvp from even happening. People just pvp to rank up quick/earn money. Co-op missions are more of a feeding frenzy with 4 players munching down auto aim kills. Which is just not exciting.. And of course.. theres hunting. Say what you will, but try hunting with free aim for a while and tell me that doesn't feel more immersive. Its an entirely different game.
  7. Except, if you're being hunted down by a group of players. Close proximity makes it easy. Back in RDR 1 Hardcore. Many times I was being hunted by a group. Only to play stealthy and keep picking them off. Sometimes even stabbing them in the back. And it was 100% pure free aim. Blips showing up at close range... Especially with auto aim. Makes everyone easy to find targets. Also defensive mode.. 1.) Anyone can troll anyone they want without risk of being instantly killed. Steal your hunting kills. Blow up fish. Steal your gang hide out kills. Ram into you with their horse.. Or constantly getting in your face and just being annoying.. Even trying to jump infront of your bullets 2.) Defensive mode won't work when someone runs free roam missions. Meaning, alls anyone has to do is start a mission and get close to a defensive mode players. And now defensive mode won't work because it considers you part of the free roam mission.
  8. The current problem of the blip system is that is punishes players for defending themselves.. With a kill tax and easy to see blips. Staying a blue dot allows players to better and ambushing and being 'griefers'. A better blip system would have been RD1 hardcore multiplayer. Where everyone is treated equally and only shows up when running/riding or shooting. The person in charge of RDO seems to have to clue what they are doing. Its almost like they are purposely doing the exact opposite of what myself and many people expect. So that's how I feel about the current state of RD O. I still find the game enjoyable.. Its just, feels like R* is just pooping themselves and not caring about it. ...Im just sitting here waiting for the Beta to end to see if this game is still worth caring about.. OR will it just be a last cause.
  9. The only thing that needs to be done is to add invite/private lobbies, since this is the ONLY way to stop other people from 'wrecking' your game. Anything else that's done will only ruin the entire game. Since griefers are mostly playing as intended. Currently you have two options. Join another lobby or shoot back. Realistically, no one should be playing in peace in public games.
  10. Well, this is a wild west game.. The reality is.. Its R* that's not allowing players to play the way they want. 6 months later. Still no private/invite only lobbies.
  11. Mostly because the only true fix was invite only lobbies and leaving the game bare as bones. Simple fixes are the best fixes. Next update won't penalize someone from defending themselves is what R* claims. But as someone whos been 10 steps ahead of R* logic for years now. I can already point out problems even tho the next update isn't out yet. Hell the current problems everyone is complaining about now, are things I pointed out would happen long before the blip/bounty system was added. And then there's Defensive mode.. AKA. The ability to troll players while using a protective magical shield. And at the same time, starting free roam missions and then attacking defensive mode players. If only this game was in a Beta. R* could fix and tweaks things on a daily/weekly basis.
  12. The blip colors doesn't take anything in context. Red simply means players who have killed a lot recently. Purple.. killed some players but not much. Blue.. Barely killed anyone recently. Its got nothing to do with being hostile or griefing. Despite what R* claims. You can get your blip red just by having fist fights with friends. A blue blip player could target you for no reason... You end up killing the player over and over again in self defense, Your blip is now Red.
  13. The free aim and movement is a bit clunky, I won't argue that. But most shooters are too over simplified in the 1st place and have spoiled players on how shooting should be. Anyone whos ever shot a real gun in real life and moved around while doing it. You're not just gonna move around twitch shooting everything that moves, that's now how things work. In RD.. The auto aim is too accurate. In pvp it turns into ability cards or diving around. Because every time someone presses LT they lock on. Theres no real thrill in it. PVE.. 30 NPCS are nothing but auto aim fodder. The only way to die is to get so far deep into NPCs line of sight, that you can't auto aim fast enough. It makes things extremely boring. The best part about free aim.. Even if its a bit clunky. Is that shoot outs become more exciting when you don't expect every single shot to land on every target close to you, just because you pressed LT. RDO has great gin mechanics.. Spoiled by auto aim. Hell, I dare anyone here to round up 4 people and play the co-op missions with free aim and no ability cards slotted. Pretend auto aim doesn't exist.. And I bet you'll have the most fun you've ever had in terms of pve.
  14. This makes no sense.. You like auto aim? And you play for immersion? Auto aim breaks immersion. Especially when combined with ability cards.. Its got nothing to do with skill.. Auto aim makes the game brain dead stupid on every front.. From PVP to PVE. RD is a shooter. Playing a 'true free aim pvp game'? Well if RD had free aim, it would be a true free aim pvp game.
  15. Finally! A proper wild west brothel gets added to.. Ooh.. You meant farm work. Damn.. had my hopes up for a second.
  16. Why you're in prison makes no difference. They free you for a reason. And its not to milk cows... OF course how you play is totally your choice. Good, bad or evil. Just like in Story mode. Theres a difference between the Skinner Gang and Dutch's Gang.
  17. The 1st thing that happens in RD O is starting you off as a prisoner who gets freed to help kill people... An outlaw and gunslinger. So for R* to say anything that contradicts their own game is kind of funny.. If the game started off with people on a farm, milking cows.. Then they might have had a point. But that's it ^
  18. I guess R* isn't in charge of RD O. If they where, they would know that statement is 100% bs. RED DEAD is a cowboy, outlaw, gunslinger game. Its the entire base concept..
  19. NPCS barely ambush in online compared to single player. Theres only a few areas where they do online. And online has nothing to do with Dutch.. Even tho Dutch is full of sh*t.
  20. It is normal when it comes to Red Dead. Just look at single player campaign. Theres tons of ambushes that happen from NPC gangs. In online, the players fill that role.
  21. The Auto Aim combined with Ability cards really does suck the life out of pvp and pve in this game.. Don't think R* was thinking too far ahead when it came to online. Soon everyone will also have explosive ammo too. R* started off on the wrong foot..and just kept running. This game needs a Hardcore mode. No ability cards, no auto aim..
  22. What kinda horse sh*t is this^.. You're obviously suffering from RD O burnout. Just take a break.. No point throwing in the hat till the beta ends. At least wait for that before putting a bullet in the game.
  23. Not removed.. Its simply been lost in the shuffle. R* says you're not allowed to have fun and play the game modes you want. Sort of like going to an all you can eat buffet. And every time you walk up to the buffet table. The owner of the restaurant grabs your plate and puts a bunch of random food in it.
  24. Less people playing + Less people buying stuff = R* pulling its head of its ass and giving the game what it needs. R* over the years.. Has proved that the ONLY time they start paying attention to game play problems.. Is when money is involved.
  25. Can't compare earning money to items locked behind ranks. Especially in this game where gold can bypass rank locks for many items and money gets the shaft behind rank locks. Also the fact that money makes sense.. And exp is a slow, boring pointless grind. It takes day or two to earn couple grand and plenty of ways to earn money. It takes a hell of a lot more time grinding exp. Im not saying give anything away.. Im saying level/exp rank locks make no sense in a game where PVP is a constant thing. Make it a money thing, as it should be. Free Roam missions. PVP is involved. Most of the content is pvp game modes too. And speaking of pvp game modes. I think R* got off on the wrong foot. I think ability cards where a mistake. Being able to use tonics and food in pvp modes also further unbalances the game modes. When I play pvp game modes.. And everyones low level. I strut right into the damn thing like The Terminator, soaking up bullets and killing everyone. That should not be happening. I miss RDR1 online. Everyone was on equal footing in pvp game modes and we had aim specific lobbies. It was simple and it came down to the best players winning.
