Defense mode just makes you harder to kill, it doesn't make you immune to it. Think of it like a tank role on a team. Your skills aren't as great but you can take a beating like a champ.

If you want something more current then I would recommend Mr. Robot for a start. That is on the final season now so you can catch up and be able to watch how it ends before the season closes. My girl loves Black Mirror, if you like Twilight Zone style entertainment you can check that out..

Welcome, welcome. I am glad to see some new people joining here. It is a great community. Gotta let me know how RDR2 feels on PC for the first time. You are in for a treat with this game man.

Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy it here. If you need help with buying parts for a new PC, let me know. I know a guy who can build on a budget so he'd be able to tell you what to buy and from where to get the best price and performance for you money.

The longer a game like this sits around, the more hackers there will be on the servers though. Have you ever played a CoD after the new one comes out? It is a mess.

Will online PC be any different from online console?
DiamondDave replied to gsamson24's topic in Red Dead Online
Considering the graphics, the minimum surprised me. GTA V didn't change much when they ported it to PC but they did allow mods. Assuming they follow suit, I would expect them to allow mods on RDR2 as well which will be tons of fun. That would be a big difference right there. You can compare the differences in GTA V (and other GTA titles) here if you want: https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Console_and_PC_Differences -
The reason they had problems is down to the servers and people finding ways around their walls to use hacks. Most bad reviews are about hackers or server lag. It won't be any different on Blizzard unless they are planning to really work on safe-walling the game and optimizing servers this time.

The consoles have keyboard support for some games I believe (current gen) so it would be a smart move. I can't imagine them not doing controller support, especially because games like this were first intended to be played on console. The control system is already there.
-
I knew they would do it. I just had a gut feeling. It is a solid move to keep the game going. I still know a lot of people who play GTA V online on PC so this will definitely lengthen the run of the game.

Is Red Dead Redemption 2 Finally Coming To PC?
DiamondDave replied to NewsBot's topic in Red Dead Online
Yup. Noticed this right away. I am not sure why they would block this but it is a dumb move on their part. Mods make older games a whole lot funner. -
Based on GTA V having full controller support, I would imagine RDR2 will have it as well. They gotta know some people play both console and PC and some players prefer controllers on both. I am one of them.
-
I have not but I have not tried. I know other people have done it and have talked about it online. I don't remember seeing or hearing anything about buildings or landmarks there. I think it is just basic land that they may or may not fill with DLC content in the future.
-
What controller are you using exactly? The one that comes with the console doesn't seem to have very many issues so long as you aren't dropping it and throwing it across the room.
-
Gotta catch them all, baby it's you and me, you know it's my destiny! It is a pain in the arse. As mentioned above, you have to hunt them down and once they are gone, they are gone.

My buddy was using this. I still prefer rdr2map.com over this app because I don't like having to mess around with my phone and drain the battery when I can just hop online on my Chromebook and let it sit open next to me while I play.

Diff between missions done and shown on social club
DiamondDave replied to gamerfan1010's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Last I signed into the social club, it wasn't showing the right numbers for me either. I think you could be right that if you try missions again, it counts them again. Not 100% sure though. Might be worth asking Rockstar for some clarification. -
Not sure people are struggling with something like this to the point they are unaware but... Thanks for sharing? I mean this is common knowledge from what I understand.

Exploring outside the map boundary
DiamondDave replied to DBMandrake's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
I haven't really done this. I did explore off the map spots but I never got as far as the border or wall burier of the game is. I don't know if they plan on expanding this or not but like mentioned, most newer open world games spand far beyond the map just to make the world feel larger. -
I finally hit 100% though I did get a bit of help. I was stuck and couldn't find what I was missing. Had a friend help out who 100%'d the game by the 3rd week the game was out. He is a mad man when it comes to achievement hunting. Either way, glad to see others doing the same. It feels good. I only have maybe 5 games in my library I have done this for.
-
I don't know if it would be possible or how many people would actually use it but having a chat box or chat room to hook up with other players might be useful for people who are just looking for someone to play RDR2 online on the fly. Somewhat a suggestion/idea and question lol I been on other gaming forums for other games that had this and people seemed to like the feature.

Welcome to the forum @G IR U IB You have yourself a good partner and wife, you hold on to her. The only thing my girl got me for Christmas was a migraine LOL
-
Never had an issue here either OP. If you tried what Kormath suggested and still can't get the bug fixed, contact Rockstar on the issue.

I spent a good hour last night with a friend of mine messing with these 3 players. I think they must have been like 10 to 13 in age. My friend convinced them he knew a secret to get a ton of gold but you had to do a mix of stuff and had to travel in a group of 5. He had these kids doing all these stunts and then at the end, he just shot the three of them. I was laughing so hard I pulled a muscle.
-
This is the first time I am hearing about this. Anytime I was hunting them I would go to the points suggested on the map but I am going to have to check these areas out.

It is from last year: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6412452/ You can read about it there ^ It has a good mix of comedy and drama with some great characters. Here is the trailer:
