  1. Holy cow.... Even my trusted Twitter sources are coughing up more details than I want to know today. Guess I will be staying away from all that until tonight. I'm on the west coast of the U.S. so as long as there isn't a big a$$ day-one patch to download, I should be playing shortly after 9 PM. .....which means I'll be able to get in at least 3-4 hours of gameplay in before I pass out for the night.
  2. Hate to say I don't believe these guys but all four joined with just a few minutes of each other (8:21, 8:24, 8:25 and 8:33 pm). .......just like you pointed out @CMcC. I also haven't heard anyone else around here (or elsewhere) bring up this issue that has a history on the site, etc. that I feel I can trust as a source. Paint me skeptical unless we start hearing from reputable / official sources.
  3. I'm semi-retired myself. ......still about 15 years from "official" retirement. I don't game in the day during the week though. I dunno, just feels weird (for me) if I do. Occasionally I will on weekends though but definitely during the evening. Had my share of forgettable outfits from the 70s when I was a kid. .....ugh.
  4. Hasn't happened to me or anyone I know. ......yet. What platforms are you guys on?
  5. Yeah.... Pinball machines were fun. While not really the same, we had a pretty nice pachinko machine at home as a kid. ....spent hours on that. I think it's still somewhere in my Dad's garage. What was nice about the early days of video games in arcades is that pinball machines still existed alongside them. I'm sure they are still around but I haven't really stepped into one in many years.
  6. What's been cool for me is being there and playing those games during the dawn of mainstream consoles and PCs. .....seeing just how far games have come since the 70's, 80s and beyond. I spent a lot of time in arcades during my youth before and during that time as well.
  7. That's really cool actually. ........now get off my lawn!!!
  8. @Bullet Slinger I'm your age and I know exactly what you mean by Christmas morning during those years. Now I live vicariously through my own kid. Yeah, I'm really excited about the release probably more so due to the long dry spell between titles that I have caught my interest.
  9. They may have said it before but they Tweeted a couple hours ago.....
  10. I use Twitter for up to date info but I only follow specific sources that refuse to leak info / footage. ....although they may provide a link if you want to. Either way, I still get news on the leaks but no real details unless I research it on my own. ......which I prefer NOT to do for the most part. I've seen the map and the 20 sec footage but neither really spoiled anything IMO. There are other leaks that I have been avoiding though.
  11. Seems the full map is also revealed from the RDR2 guide book.
  12. Lucky you. Lost most of mine and what remains is mostly grey. ......I'm over the half century mark myself.
  13. Yeah, that's who I typically end up becoming friends with. Likely because we have more in common with one another. They are also very easy going and don't take themselves or games too seriously. I'm on PS4 though. I used the term "mature" before but it seems that gets interpreted by some as perhaps being a little sanctimonious. I have a group in the Posse section but it doesn't exclude anyone by age. ......although the description includes attributes that may imply a level of maturity is preferred.
  14. Yeah, I don,t know if Mors Mutual Insurance covers the loss of a horse. ......that's not a telegraph I would want to send.
  15. .......yeah, but thought I should mention it anyway. I didn't want to sound like a hypocrite but you're right, I'm really only using it for my own advantage and not over others. I only play solo or on rare occasions, with friends. To be honest, even at level 200+ and the arsenal I have, I still don't stand a chance against griefers as they know all the tricks of trolling. What's funny though is when people start getting matchmade to my session (still happens sometimes even with the MTU trick), I noticed folks tend to leave me alone unless they are at my level or above. .....or if it's just a couple of us in the session together. I can usually tell right away if they're going to be a problem though.
  16. ....yeah, I'm over the whole zombie thing myself but I could see it making for a good co-op experience which I am always a fan of. I guess I would have to see how they implemented it. I'm a little torn.
  17. No idea but then again, who says they have to parachute in? Maybe it's via train, randomized, chosen before the match, etc. It also doesn't need to be a cookie cutter BR mode. It could be an entirely different spin on BR. Either way, I only mentioned it because most other things from the big leak seemed to have come to pass except that. Personally, I have little interest in BR in RDR2 or in general. I have no idea how they would have implemented it if they did.
  18. Ahhhh...... Mister Ed. Good one.
  19. This particular source I heard didn't specify but in his case, it was in the U.K. .....but as Dyl mentioned, this should only affect those that are not direct, retail channel partners (save for unforseen non-related issues). Distributors will not receive the game before launch with perhaps few exceptions. Personally, I would stick with the big brick & mortar retailers or someone like Amazon just to be safe. .....or buy digitally. https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2018-10-18-independent-game-stores-may-get-red-dead-redemption-2-late
  20. I like it. ......bullet hole is a nice touch too.
  21. hmmmmm..... lemme think now..... Your first name is Dylan? 😉
  22. There is also talk of some possible delays for physical copies. A popular YTer mentioned that he got an email telling him that his PS4 copy will be 1 day late. .....his XB1 copy is apparently still on schedule. I kinda figured as much with R*s restrictions on retailers for RDR2s release. It's going to make it difficult for some to deliver on time to their customers.
  23. Yeah, I didn't play online either in the first iteration. I sure hope they don't incorporate Dead Eye into RDO this time around. I don't particularly like to use it in the campaign but at least there, I have a choice not to (for the most part). In RDO, players will essentially be forced to use it or possibly be handicapped. .....unless they can design it in a way that it's not OP.
