Even if it's not widespread, you still deserve help with the product as it's obviously an issue for you. Personally, I would have stuck with R* Support and kept replying back to them through escalation. I would have also continually responded with these videos since you're already going through the trouble of making and posting them. I've had to address issues with them where I wouldn't let them close the ticket because it didn't resolve my problem. My case got escalated and then I discovered it was a known issue that was being worked on. I don't believe their first level support are R* employees but their escalation staff seems to be. It's obvious to me that their first tier folks use scripts and only repeat what they've been told. Anyhow, although I'm sure R* pays staff to comb through forums and other sites, I wouldn't bank on them addressing a potentially isolated issue.

.....and yet one of the most successful. No one is forcing you to play a game that you find infuriating you know. I'm sure there are plenty of others out there from developers you might find more appealing.
-
I hope you also sent that to R* Support.

I haven't been on in a few weeks unfortunately. Maybe this weekend I'll take advantage of it. -
Cool...

I get what you're saying but the comparison I was referring to was GTAO during the same period of its life. GTAO is a fully mature game now with much more to offer than what it did in the early stages. ....much how I expect RDO might be given more time. I don't put a lot of stock in some of the criticism I read in forums or the media for that matter. There were a lot of folks touting the demise of GTAO in the first year and even after. .....but yeah, from a personal perspective there simply isn't enough to keep me interested in RDO right now. I too think it's still a great game though and I believe it has a lot of potential. I'd just like more PvE content and features which I'm sure they will release in time. GTAO and RDO are one of those unique types of games for me that I can abandon for a few days, weeks and sometimes even months and still return back to. I don't think RDO will ever be able to replicate GTAO's success but I do think it will begin to pick up steam just as GTA did so long ago.
-
Personally, I don't think the Casino update pulling folks away from RDO has much to do with people liking GTA more as it does with those who simply play both franchises. Personally, when big updates come around (regardless of whether it's GTAO or RDO), I'll go check it out in most cases. ....although I tend to favor RDO myself. I do expect many of those that play both will certainly be abandoning RDO to go explore the Casino next week.
-
Looks like the Casino Update for GTAO is launching next week (7/23; next Tues). ....but RDO was also growing faster than GTAO compared to where that game was in the same period of its life. I doubt RDO will ever outsell GTAV in terms of overall units sold, MTXs, etc., but they never expected it would. Still, the success of the game is nothing to sneeze at: "Zelnick noted that there had been 24 million copies of RDR2 sold to date, or only slightly more than the 23 million sold by the end of 2018. In contrast, GTA 5 managed to rack up 34 million copies between its September 2013 debut and August 2014." I agree that there is a chance that the Summer Update will release before the next earnings call but then again (if that even plays a factor in their business strategy), they could use that as leverage to buy some time by releasing it after and pitching a positive outlook. Either way, we should learn more regarding the state of the game just before or after that call.

I've been playing DayZ on PS4 and a few other games (which were free from PS+) that I haven't had the chance to get to yet. ....I do like DayZ though especially with friends. Already died about 3 times because of stupidity but with the new 1.04 update coming by the end of July, they will be doing a complete character & server wipe. I don't feel so bad now. I wish consoles could support modding more similar to how PC does. That was a big part of my PC gaming experience when I was still building systems for it. I still think properties will make it into the game. .....as well as vehicles (e.g. wagons). Seems what came from those leaks from the datamining early on have essentially come true. These two things we have yet to hear about though. It would be nice if they made it in and TBH, I really don't see why they wouldn't. -

Yeah..... You figure, we've got anytime between now until the end of September for the Summer Update to hit. Personally, I'll wager it hits in Sept. Either way, I'm playing other games right now anyhow so I'll simply revisit RDO then or maybe a couple times before. -
Yeah, pretty much zilch in this one....

Hi Lisa and welcome.

Hi Stofegad and welcome to the forums.

To be fair RDO released on 11/27/18. .....8 1/2 months ago toward the end of calendar year Q418. ....3 1/2 months away from a full year (more than a quarter). Like GTAO, R* has created a fairly unique gaming experience with RDO. I really can't think of other games that fit the same mold. Sure, they share similar elements but it's not like we're talking about BR games like PUBG and Fortnite. .....or hardcore survival games like ARK, the Forest and DayZ. .....or FPS shooters like CoD and BF. ......etc., etc. .....so in that sense, R* really seems to be striking out on their own with their games and if anything, I would say others could take a lesson from them considering they have what is arguably one of the most (if not the most) successful GaaS models on the market today with GTAO. Having said that, I wouldn't consider RDO perfect. It still has problems for some and I do think they could offer more options to make their game more attractive to more players (e.g. free aim, passive modes/sessions, more content, etc.). .....but RDO is also growing and will continue to evolve. Personally, I think RDO will be around for a long time regardless. They have even said that they haven't ruled out session options so there is still hope for private servers, etc. for those that want that. Personally, I think they will adapt over time as needed. My main issue with the game is the time in between content drops. .....but then again, RDO isn't the kind of game where I play it constantly. I take breaks from it and then come back just like I've done with GTAO since it launched years ago on my PS3 (which I still play today on my PS4). Regard their game engine..... R* has been using their same, proprietary RAGE system for over a decade, simply tweaked and improved as they go. ....the same engine GTAV uses. I'm not a developer so I won't pretend to know why some bugs persist for some people but it's not because the engine can't support online.
-
I was on the other night to collect my Twitch Prime bonus and the session was full.
-
Same here. ....never seen more than 24 in a Free Roam session although I think some of the events can reach up to 32.

Kean_1 replied to Miss_WarHorse's question in Questions & Answers
This is already coming..... We'd like to thank all of our loyal players for continuing to send their to us feedback via the official Red Dead Online Feedback page and encourage you to please keep it coming. We've been working on implementing some of the top-requested features for the next major Red Dead Online update - including the ability to reset your character’s appearance without altering your progress, automatically retaining Playing Style preferences (Defensive/Offensive) when transitioning to and from Free Roam and much, much more. -
RDR2.org is in no way affiliated with R* or 2K which is why I always suggest folks make sure they are also reporting these issues directly to them via what is essentially our only means of conveying feedback to them directly: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadonline/feedback?redirect_lang=en_us Talking about here is perfectly fine and encouraged. ....and if it helps someone within our community in the process, then great. .....but for those who truly wish to try and effect change, that Feedback link and their Support site are currently the only ways to that will guarantee these issues get reported to R* directly. This is why I suggest it, not to dismiss people's input about problems they have with the game.
-
Yeah, it's always been a matter of "feast or famine" for me.
-
My suggestion.... If these types of events are occurring as frequently as you say, I would start taking video evidence and then submit that to R* via their Support page.
