Just an fyi.... RDR2.org is in no way affiliated with Sony, R* or 2K. This is an RDR2 / RDO fan forum. Sorry you were not satisfied with the game but other than simply venting, it won't do much good to post here complaining about R* & Sony if your intention is to get their attention. If you want to provide feedback to R*, I would suggest submitting it through the following website here: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadonline/feedback?redirect_lang=en_us That is the only direct link I know of to communicate with them.

You know you can choose the region you want to spawn in as well, right? That should get you closer to where you want to be if it keeps spawning you in Tumbleweed in new sessions.

Thanks Moosh. I was at the doctor (nasty spider bite) and it appears R* posted this on Twitter and their newsfeed about an hour ago. I created the typical thread for it here:

DAILY CHALLENGE STREAK AWARD AND FREE ROAM EVENT REWARDSPLUS NEW TWITCH PRIME BENEFITS, CLOTHING, DISCOUNTS AND MORE Wandering the vistas and mesas of the frontier is its own reward, sure, but honest-to-goodness buried treasure? That is a bounty all its own. All Red Dead Online players who reach a 3-day Daily Challenge Streak (one Challenge per day) by July 29th will receive a bonus Treasure Map. Treasure Maps can be accessed in the Documents tab of your Satchel and contain high value rewards - often including RDO$ and Gold - for those who seek them. Joining any Free Roam Event will pay out additional rewards this week, with 30% extra RDO$ & XP for participating. Meanwhile, it pays to work as a group with extra benefits to playing in a Posse - earn 30% bonus XP on all activities while playing in a Temporary or Persistent Posse. Plus you can start up a Persistent Posse for 50% off to ride with up to 7 players and earn extra benefits. If you haven't got a stitch to wear this week, the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue has got you covered with plenty of new wares. Try two new colors of the burnished leather Gibbston Pants or slip into a pair of Blackburn Boots – also available in two color-ways and are permanent additions to the Catalogue. Meanwhile, for players with more formal engagements to attend: the dapper Fanned Stovepipe Hat and the dashing Irwin Coat are both available while stocks last. A visit to your local Fence and Gunsmith is also recommended, with 25% off essential ordnance provisions like the Incendiary Buckshot Pamphlet, Small Game Arrow Pamphlet, Studded Explorer Gun Belt and the Sharpshooter Gun Belt. You can also take 25% off the Potent Predator Bait Pamphlet to craft your own bait. Twitch Prime members who have linked their account to their Rockstar Games Social Club profile can lay claim to the Tasman and Danube outfits, the boisterous "How Dare You"emote and the high-powered Carcano Rifle, all for free and with no Rank locks. Likewise, Twitch Prime members who play Red Dead Online this week will receive an additional 10% discount on all of the discounts listed above: 60% off the Permanent Posse fee and 35% off the Incendiary Buckshot Pamphlet, Small Game Arrow Pamphlet, Potent Predator Bait Pamphlet, Studded Explorer Gun Belt and the Sharpshooter Gun Belt. Visit here for more details on linking your Rockstar Games Social Club and Twitch Prime accounts, and stay tuned to the Newswire for more Red Dead Online news in the coming weeks - including details on the next major update, coming later this summer.

Nothing yet but could be any minute or perhaps not at all. Today is the big Casino update for GTAO so that could be the reason for the delay.
-
UPDATE: Had a new member join and post the following screenshot. Unfortunately, their post also included a questionable username and derogatory remark which we simply won't tolerate here. However, I will repost the screenshot showing that the Carcano rifle was indeed mentioned at least on that screen at one point. I would use this and submit a trouble ticket to R* Support if you have not seen that rifle awarded to you in your package @Venusiren et all:

Yeah..... America is a mixed bag but metric is a bigger part of people's lives here than some think. ....although the impact can vary from person to person. As for cars, I would say most new cars are metric as legacy components give way to newer ones, etc. I still have well used imperial as well as metric tools in my chests / cabinets but I've been buying and using those tools over the past 30+ years. Many things I work on around the house still use imperial but yeah, many things on my vehicles are metric even on my '10 Challenger (although there are still some imperial sized bolt heads, etc. too).

The usual folks are still around and even some new faces although I'm sure others are taking a break too. Once the Summer Update hits, I'll wager it will pick up a bit.

Hi Kilgore and welcome.

Just to let you know, RDR2.org is not affiliated with R* or 2K in any way. If you're having issues and other members are not able to help, I would suggest submitting a trouble ticket through R* Support here: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.34181985.1353800036.1563733077-1555388379.1563733077 Sorry you're having problems.

btw, I would also like to point out to make sure you have completed the links required. I recall when I did it I thought I was done when I actually wasn't. Here's the site: https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/rewards/twitchprime

Do I have a problem? 😄 No, no problem here HuDawg. Just discussing your topic. I understand folks need to vent (some obviously more than others ) and that's fine. Look, most of us have problems with the game to some extent but if I were as fed up with a game/developer as you seem to be with RDO/R*, I would have cut my losses long ago. .....but kudos to you for hanging in there. As for the lack of meaningful content / updates, I also think they are being too slow with the releases but then again, I have no idea what their development process is like, business strategy, etc. I do have faith that R* will continue to improve the game though and that's why I stick around. .....because if I didn't, I would have walked away for good months ago. In the meantime, I take occasional breaks from the game if I feel bored, frustrated and/or simply disinterested just like I do with GTAO. In fact, I haven't played RDO for a few weeks myself. ....although I'll probably hop into a session this weekend and check out the casino update for GTAO next week.
-
I like it too. We hope you stick around, share your experiences and make yourself at home here. It's generally a really great group of friendly, welcoming people willing to help one another.

Hi @Deadwooddrunk and welcome to the forums. Here is a link to R* Support: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.231282204.287940896.1563566736-913701957.1563566736 Personally, I would go ahead and submit a trouble ticket through them to see if they can help.
-
....and all I'm saying is that you don't need to be among those mindless cattle as you call them if you don't want to. ....easy peasy.
-
Even if it's not widespread, you still deserve help with the product as it's obviously an issue for you. Personally, I would have stuck with R* Support and kept replying back to them through escalation. I would have also continually responded with these videos since you're already going through the trouble of making and posting them. I've had to address issues with them where I wouldn't let them close the ticket because it didn't resolve my problem. My case got escalated and then I discovered it was a known issue that was being worked on. I don't believe their first level support are R* employees but their escalation staff seems to be. It's obvious to me that their first tier folks use scripts and only repeat what they've been told. Anyhow, although I'm sure R* pays staff to comb through forums and other sites, I wouldn't bank on them addressing a potentially isolated issue.
-
.....and yet one of the most successful. No one is forcing you to play a game that you find infuriating you know. I'm sure there are plenty of others out there from developers you might find more appealing.
-
I hope you also sent that to R* Support.

For fun, what's your horse's name/names?

I haven't been on in a few weeks unfortunately. Maybe this weekend I'll take advantage of it. -
Cool...

I get what you're saying but the comparison I was referring to was GTAO during the same period of its life. GTAO is a fully mature game now with much more to offer than what it did in the early stages. ....much how I expect RDO might be given more time. I don't put a lot of stock in some of the criticism I read in forums or the media for that matter. There were a lot of folks touting the demise of GTAO in the first year and even after. .....but yeah, from a personal perspective there simply isn't enough to keep me interested in RDO right now. I too think it's still a great game though and I believe it has a lot of potential. I'd just like more PvE content and features which I'm sure they will release in time. GTAO and RDO are one of those unique types of games for me that I can abandon for a few days, weeks and sometimes even months and still return back to. I don't think RDO will ever be able to replicate GTAO's success but I do think it will begin to pick up steam just as GTA did so long ago.
-
Personally, I don't think the Casino update pulling folks away from RDO has much to do with people liking GTA more as it does with those who simply play both franchises. Personally, when big updates come around (regardless of whether it's GTAO or RDO), I'll go check it out in most cases. ....although I tend to favor RDO myself. I do expect many of those that play both will certainly be abandoning RDO to go explore the Casino next week.
-
Looks like the Casino Update for GTAO is launching next week (7/23; next Tues). ....but RDO was also growing faster than GTAO compared to where that game was in the same period of its life. I doubt RDO will ever outsell GTAV in terms of overall units sold, MTXs, etc., but they never expected it would. Still, the success of the game is nothing to sneeze at: "Zelnick noted that there had been 24 million copies of RDR2 sold to date, or only slightly more than the 23 million sold by the end of 2018. In contrast, GTA 5 managed to rack up 34 million copies between its September 2013 debut and August 2014." I agree that there is a chance that the Summer Update will release before the next earnings call but then again (if that even plays a factor in their business strategy), they could use that as leverage to buy some time by releasing it after and pitching a positive outlook. Either way, we should learn more regarding the state of the game just before or after that call.
