  1. Hi Quick Shot and welcome to the forums..... First, I just want to let you know that RDR2.org is a fan forum. This site is not affiliated with R* or 2K. Second, did you try to submit a trouble ticket through the official R* Support site here?: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.262239822.379186194.1567797193-955048409.1567797193 There are ways to get your ticket escalated but you need to be persistent. While most may not be affected, there are those I know who have had consistent connection issues. If you're not getting anywhere with R* Support and want help from the community, you need to be a lot more descriptive than this. Help us help you. You may also want to browse some of hte other threads to see if a possible solution is there or an idea you may not have tried.
  2. Well, these online games from R* are all about the grind. If you think about it, it's the acquisition of wealth and possessions that help drive a lot of people. It gives us something to work for.
  3. Sure. I'm not suggesting it's not without faults or need of improvement. .....so is GTAO in my eyes. It's the idea that the game is dying or will be a failure because updates don't come fast enough. .....or the game doesn't provide options suited to their play style. ......or when some disagree with it's direction, etc. Same was said about GTAO and it's still going strong years later. Now, I'm not saying RDO will share the same success but I think it's still too early to tell how it will fare in the long run. Updates are always slow with R* but the thing is, content keeps getting added so eventually, RDO will become a lot more robust than it is now. ....and refined as it is tweaked. On the note of core mechanics, I'm very interested to see what they have in store for the gunplay changes as that's something I always felt was rough in R* game's and too arcadey.
  4. Welcome to the forums Enoch. If we're going to hint at our age, I've been gaming since before mainstream consoles. Lots of quarters spent on pinball and early arcade games in the local hangouts. My first console was the Bally Arcade and then the Commodore 64 which led into PC gaming. .....well, actually that was probably my friends Osborne computer that was responsible for that. .....had an Intellivision somewhere in between all that and played a lot on my friends Atari. My first "real" PC I bought myself was around $2k IIRC and had a 386DX processor in it. Stopped building PCs and switched back over to console after the PS3 hit. There's actually quite a few in the same boat on this forum. ....lot's of what you might call "mature" members here.

  6. This was tough poll for me because I always knew that I would share my time between the 3 roles and still do after knowing more of the details of each. I'm going to be dividing my time between them all. I think it's important to note that the game will allow players to do this so folks won't be locked into one particular role. Also, I never looked at RDO as a "dying game" but of course, I do believe this new content will attract players new and old. .....or breathe "new life" into the game as you put it. ......so will future content drops just like they do for GTAVO.
  7. Closing this thread . Please refer to the new one here:
  8. Hi and welcome to the forums. If you want to start a poll, please use the forum feature to do that. That link takes our members to another website where they have to register. If your intentions are truly to see what our community thinks on the topic, creating a poll here should do that just fine.
  9. I think he was just joking around. The two wagon types (actually 3) are likely just more ways for people to spend money in the game. I'd guess the delivery wagons are only for use during delivery missions while the hunting wagon would be available anytime in Free Roam.
  10. You can use the "spoiler" option (next to the emoji button) to hide anything you think will ruin the game for others.
  11. Wish I could help you there but I don't know how it works on XB1. On PS4 you can take video or screen shots through the Share button.
  12. There is an in-game reporting feature that has a selection for cheating IIRC. Also, you can report them via the R* Support site: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?step=dea4b872 There is a section you will see there for "Report a Player" or "Report a Player Group". Obviously, if you have gameplay evidence (video), this would be ideal. As an added measure I always block them in PSN just in case but that's just me.
  13. FYI...... Each member is allowed 1 recruitment thread each. .....you have 4 that I know of including this one. I will allow this one to remain but I deleted the other 3 for you.
  14. Please don't double post. You have another thread on the same subject and an answer I already provided.
  15. I'll hit you up again so we can get back into it if you don't mind. Still gotta finish some things in GTAO too. Been playing a lot of DayZ lately. Yeah, I've got the beta for GR Breakpoint coming up this Thu - Sun and then CoD:MW the next week. .....but definitely going to be getting back into RDO as well. I can definitely see some GTAO elements in the descriptions but the thing is, this isn't the same kind of gameplay so I'm not really that worried about some of the parallels between the two. I think it will still feel like a separate experience. .....an RDO experience. I guess we'll see.
  16. I think so personally. I'll be playing again next week.
  17. Yep... Lot's of new features, tweaks, etc. When (if) they release the patch notes with all the little details, I'll update the other thread.
  18. There is no set time of the day that we get news, bonuses, updates, etc. They were coming regularly every Tuesday although we received nothing last week. However, the release date for the Summer Update has been announced this morning:
  19. RED DEAD ONLINE UPDATE COMING SEPTEMBER 10INTRODUCING FRONTIER PURSUITS - NEW BOUNTY HUNTER, TRADER AND COLLECTOR SPECIALIST ROLES AND MORE The next Red Dead Online update arrives September 10 and introduces three new Frontier Pursuits, the next step in the continual evolution of Red Dead Online. Frontier Pursuits are an ongoing series of Roles for players to inhabit, delivering a wide array of themed activities that each offer unique items, skills and more as you progress through each Role. In addition to the first three new Roles comes dramatic improvements to player control with quicker and more responsive movement across all phases of combat and locomotion; the ability to redesign your character’s appearance without resetting progress; greater damage resistance while in the Defensive playing style; new Ability Cards; new Daily Challenges and Daily Role Challenges; more Dynamic Events happening across the frontier; a slew of new items and much more. With each Role, you’ll always have new pursuits to embark upon that lead to unique items and skills as you progress, in addition to Cash and Gold payouts. As Red Dead Online continues to evolve, more Frontier Pursuits will be added, giving you new Roles, new choices and more ways to personalize your path through the world of Red Dead Online. Each Role automatically earns Role XP as you complete a Role’s activities: when you hunt a bounty, you’ll earn Role XP toward the Bounty Hunter; when you find a collectible, you’ll earn Role XP towards the Collector and so on. Role XP counts towards your progression through 20 Role Ranks. You will reach a new tier of distinction every 5 ranks: Novice, Promising, Established and Distinguished. Unlocking a Role Rank earns Role Tokens and at certain ranks you’ll also unlock new skills, such as the Bounty Hunter ability to duck for protection on horseback or a Trader’s ability to train their camp dog to warn of a camp raid by thieves; upgrades to your satchel’s carrying capacity; or access to new Role specific Free Roam events. Each tier also has a kit of items that are unique to the Role and can be unlocked for purchase using Role Tokens. For example, the Trader’s Novice Kit gives you access to seven Trader Role items including a unique Saddle, Gun Belt and a Stew Pot that provides your camp with fresh meals to refill your cores and your Posse’s cores (and additional recipes to prepare special stews for Gold Cores), while the Bounty Hunter’s Established Kit gives you access to seven Bounty Hunter Role items - including a Bounty Wagon to hold multiple bounty targets, the Bolas throwing weapon to tangle the legs of bounties, a new outfit and more. Players that progress to Distinguished ranks will have earned a range of new skills that will be useful in all their pursuits across the frontier; advanced camp styles and comforts; and recognizable clothing items that will show off their accomplishments in each discipline. Get started as a Bounty Hunter when you meet the Legendary Bounty Hunter in Rhodes and purchase the Bounty Hunter License. The standard cost is 15 Gold Bars, while Twitch Prime Members who link their Twitch and Rockstar Games Social Club accounts by Sunday September 8 will get the Bounty Hunter License for free starting September 10. Licensed Bounty Hunters can pick up work by visiting bounty boards located near law offices, post offices and train stations across the states. There is no shortage of criminals to be dealt with and the targets range in difficulty, from lone low-level criminals to notorious outlaws with armed protection details and a watchful eye. Taking on an armed gang or bringing multiple targets to justice is made easier with the help of a Posse, who will all earn a cut of the final bounty. And keep in mind, bringing in targets alive will yield a greater reward. Eclipsing Bounty Hunter Rank 12 will open up the opportunity to take down other players with high bounties of $20 or more. Bounty Hunters will be notified through an invite about the opportunity to hunt down the wanted player when they’re nearby in a structured pursuit. The wanted player must escape (or surrender) within the allotted time and if captured, they’ll also have opportunities to escape and flee. If the Bounty Hunter brings the target in alive, they’ll receive an award while the criminal serves time. Unique Bounty Hunter skills and items include: Focus: Targets glow red in Eagle Eye Reinforced Lasso: A lasso made with reinforced rope to keep bounties secure Reverse Spin: Perform a Reverse Spin with a single pistol or revolver Tonics Satchel Upgrade: Store more items in your Tonics Pouch Eagle Eye+: Track enemies while sprinting or galloping Spin Up: Perform a Spin Up with a single pistol or revolver Kit Satchel Upgrade: Store more items in your Kit Pouch Tracking Arrow Pamphlet: A pamphlet recipe on how to craft Tracking Arrows Reverse Spin Up: Perform a Reverse Spin Up with a single pistol or revolver Ducking: Duck for protection while on horseback Bolas: A thrown weapon, perfect for tangling the legs of bounties Bounty Wagon: A wagon for securely retaining bounty targets Perception: Receive a notification of bounties from a greater distance Alternating Flips: Perform Alternating Flips with a single pistol or revolver Dual Gun Spinning: Perform gun spinning tricks with two pistols or revolvers Your trusted camp companion, Cripps, has long dreamed of starting a trading outpost and you’re going to help him make it happen - by becoming a partner in the fledgling Cripps Trading Company. Combining Cripps’ lifetime of working with animal materials and your skills at hunting and frontier security, you’ll have the perfect ingredients to develop a thriving business. Once you agree to help Cripps, you can start turning your camp into a business by sourcing items for Cripps to convert into sellable goods. An investment of 15 Gold Bars to purchase a Butcher’s Table will get your business up and running, while all PlayStation 4 players will get the Butcher’s Table for free. Once you’re operational, you’ll provide Cripps with Materials through hunting animals – pristine pelts and carcasses will provide better yields. You’ll also take on Resupply Missions to acquire additional necessities through less than savory tactics. Once supplied, Cripps will begin turning the materials into sellable goods, which can then be sent out on low-risk local deliveries for payment or across greater distances for a premium. Improve your hunting yields with a Hunting Wagon for larger hauls or upgrade your Delivery Wagons for larger sales. As business flourishes and your presence becomes known in the market, your competition may grow jealous of your success, so keep an eye out for raids on your camp. As your trade grows, you might consider purchasing a camp dog from Wilderness Outfitters. Not only are dogs great camp companions for all players, but a Trader of sufficient rank can teach their dog to warn of incoming attacks. Unique Trader skills and items include: Stew Pot: A camp upgrade that unlocks stew recipes to boost cores Ingredients Satchel Upgrade: Store more items in your Ingredients Pouch Awareness: Identify rival Trader wagons at an increased range Canine Warning: Train your dog to warn of thieves raiding your camp Medium and Large Delivery Wagons: Upgraded wagons that can hold more goods for transport Weapons Locker: Store weapons for later use Lance Knife: A bespoke knife style available to Traders only Efficiency: Learn to increase the amount of usable materials from perfect carcasses Materials Satchel Upgrade: Store more items in your Materials Pouch Hunting Wagon: A sturdy wagon fit for carrying multiple carcasses, hides and pelts Protection: Reduce the chance of raids at your camp Seek out the mysterious travelling saleswoman Madam Nazar to acquire the Collector’s Bag and get started on the path of the Collector. By successfully collecting all 54 hidden playing cards in GTA Online you can forego the upfront cost of the Collector’s Bag and earn it for free. Otherwise, it will cost 15 Gold Bars for access to collecting and selling rare items. With Madam Nazar’s help, you will be able to explore the world finding valuable treasures, whether they’re discarded Tarot cards in abandoned camps, buried treasures unearthed with your trusty shovel, hidden family heirlooms and more. Collect individual pieces and sell them off directly to Madam Nazar or collect entire sets for even more valuable sales. As you progress, you’ll unlock enhanced searching skills; more useful tools like a metal detector; benefits like increased carrying capacities; the ability for your horse to directly pluck and pass herbs to you while mounted, and more. Unique Collector skills and items include: Divination: Sense when near collectibles Pennington Field Shovel: An essential tool for uncovering buried collectibles Potential: Detect disturbed earth when using Eagle Eye Intuition: Narrow your search area Horse Saddlebag Upgrade: Carry more in your Horse’s saddlebag Refined Binoculars: Specialized binoculars that make dig sites glow from a great distance Águila Machete: A classic machete restyled for the use of adventurous and belligerent Collectors Metal Detector: An important tool which can identify collectibles buried underground Equine Assistance: Collect herbs from horseback Horse Lantern: Light the path ahead with a lantern attached to your horse’s breastplate Valuables Satchel Upgrade: Store more items in your Valuables Pouch In addition to these new Specialist Roles, the Update will also include a vast assortment of new features and gameplay updates. 20. ....I was old enough to vote for Ronald Reagan.
  21. I already told my wife about it. We also use the system for watching Netflix, Prime and some of the other subscription apps she likes. .....and then occasionally DVDs / Blu-Ray. My boy also uses it for his games. It's our entertainment system.
  22. Yeah, that was the first thought that came to my mind.
  23. Hi Experiment and welcome to the forums. Fyi.... There are no age restraints here but we do have rules including those regarding promoting, advertising, etc. I guess you meant me @Parzival? Yeah, I'm actually over the half century mark myself.
