  1. Yeah, looks like a spin on what's already available. Also don't know why they made the ponchos like neckwear.

  3. Are you working off a phone? If so, I have no idea how to create a posse as there doesn't seem to be an option. From the desktop site, it should be pretty apparent the way I described it.
  4. No problem.... Go to that link I provided (https://www.rdr2.org/forums/clubs/) and then click on the red button to the right of the screen where it says "Start a Posse". It also looks like a column header. Once you click that I think the rest of it is self explanatory. You enter the posse name, whether you want it to be private, public, etc. .....platform and so on.
  5. If you're in Defensive Mode, use it to your advantage. They may have shot toward you but not at you. Once they hit you then you've got the advantage in fighting back if that's what you want. The mode works best when you're trying to avoid potential threats and for evasion. It's not a passive mode and really can't be treated as a "stand your ground" tactic if you're intentions are truly to avoid conflicts. .....and that's what it really boils down to. You can't just turn it on and expect that you won't be trolled. Personally, I still spawn into a session away from my intended destination and I'll move on when I see other players approaching, give them a wide berth, etc. when I'm in Defensive Mode. I don't know what the chances would be of sweeping another player while in free aim but I'd imagine it wouldn't be very likely. I know I've done it on accident several times while in auto aim though (snapping on to someone nearby instead of my intended target). Personally, I wouldn't be against a trigger in the logic to be based on that. I think that part of it makes sense.
  6. Griefers.... People intent on making your gaming experience frustrating by pestering you, indiscriminately killing you, etc. There are ways to mitigate the problem that comes more naturally as you gain experience, the use of certain tactics, options, etc.
  7. Just be aware that while you can go "solo" into RD Online, you still share the session with other human players. ....other players that have the ability to essentially do as they please including trying to kill you if they want. There is no actual "solo" mode. Personally, my suggestion is to find someone or a group you can join in a session with who can show you the ropes. .....what offensive an defensive modes do, what to look out for, how to protect yourself from "griefers", etc.
  8. I don't see why they don't make hair growth a thing in RDO. It would encourage some folks to spend more time in the game to get that hair style/beard they want and to spend money at the barber especially those looking to keep neat and clean. As it is now, I think I've only been to the barber twice so far.
  9. It s quite possible that you need a shirt that is compatible with those ties. Not all shirts are.
  10. That's exactly what it was. Nothing worth folks getting themselves in a bind about IMO. .....but then again, I wouldn't be buying or playing a game from a company I felt that strongly about. Life is too short. It was apparent PS4 had paid for the right to exclusive before the game released. In the end, these treasure maps will net PS4 players a few extra in-game dollars and gold nuggets each month. .....but then everyone is still going to benefit from the continual promotions for signing on, bonus xp/$/gold for certain activities, etc. in the usual R* fashion.
  11. I have an original PS4 and don't have issues anywhere near as extreme as what's being described here. Makes me wonder if some are experiencing worse problems than others.
  12. Just a matter of convenience for me. Hay is like 25 cents a piece so I just stop into a stable every other session or so to top off which ends up only being at most a buck or two each time.
  13. I did a free trial of PSN Now (PS streaming service) and the experience was horrible for me. I have no problem streaming movies on Netflix, Amazon Prime or playing games online but streaming games? ......yeah, with ISPs already throttling people (on the level or not) and looking to set cap limits for more areas, I just don't think the market is ready for a service like this but who knows.
  14. I've watched AoD a few times but believe it or not, I never saw the Big Lebowski. Not that I haven't been interested, I just never got around to it.
  15. No. It's not a feature at least at this point. However, in the campaign if you stop to pet dogs they will be friendlier toward you the next time you come in to town from what I recall.
  16. For me, it's all about the co-op. .....playing with friends and experiencing the game together. There are story missions, side missions and all the various activities you can do.
  17. Never knew that about that movie but then again, I had my first White Russian long before it ever released.
  18. I currently have $2000 and about 20 GBs. I just don;t have anything to spend the money on right now (that I want) except ammunition, hay, etc. I'm not complaining though as I see this as being an advantage when (or if) properties are ever implemented, businesses, etc.
  19. Me too. I guess I need to start collecting so I can see how much mine are. RDO is kinda funny in that I never found it really hard to buy what I needed in the game. I don't mean cosmetic things but weapons, ability cards and such that really make a difference. I would grind for the money and by the time I leveled up, I was able to buy that gun, etc. that I needed. RDO is much easier in that respect than GTAO IMO. At lvl 71, there isn't much else for me to strive for in this game to be honest. I got pretty much everything I need except for maybe explosive rounds.
  20. I usually pick up on this stuff since I'm getting feeds but I've been sick the past few days so haven't really been paying attention. Yeah, as @The_Liquor mentioned, there really is no advantage since it's not cross platform. Even so, I never really found big payouts in treasure maps. In fact, I still have 4 that I need to go collect. I usually just wait till I have a few and then make a session of it then it seems more worth my while.
  21. Thanks for posting this Moosh. I'll add it to the stickied list of news and updates. I shortened the title a bit (hope you don't mind).
  22. I'm going to move this to the RDR2 General forum as it's not exactly an introduction and seems to be more about advice. ....btw, there are a lot of us here that are over the half century mark so you're not alone.
  23. A few years ago I might have been interested but to be honest, I only ever play the campaign in these types of game and the "on rails" action just doesn't appeal to me these days. I prefer open or semi-open game worlds. I can't stand their twitch-like multiplayer where it's more about people running and gunning rather than tactics. For my "realistic", tactical, PVP and co-op shooter fix, I'm waiting for Insurgency Sandstorm also releasing this year. I loved GRW and how they went back to being more modern than "advanced" or "future". I didn't like Ghost Wars because of the way they abandoned what made the core gameplay of GRW so good. Instead, they followed the typical playbook of other popular shooters and included classes, higher TTK, special abilities, various markers, tech, etc. ....and the drones / radar marking was over the top IMO / IME. They were also too stubborn to include a hardcore mode in PvP forcing everyone into a "one size fits all" Quick Match. .....and the Custom Match was a half hearted attempt to appease their HC fanbase as it didn't even include public lobbies until more than a year later when everyone left. Even then, it still was poorly executed. The campaign / co-op was relatively untouched though which was just fine in my book as that was the best part of the game. Fast forward to GRB's announcement and we see that not only have they integrated the campaign/ co-op into PvP but also all of the elements of it including classes and other RPG components. ....and they not only included more drones and tech but they doubled down on it. The TTK also seems to have increased as you are now fighting machines and heavily armored, mini gun wielding targets, etc. GR is seemingly moving toward a Division-like game. They seemed to have listened to some of the feedback to include a few requested mechanics / items but then totally ignored the rest. The mood on GRB forum is a far cry from the general excitement and enthusiasm I remember in the GRW forum when that game was under development. I'll cross my fingers that GRB isn't as bad as I think it is. Hopefully we'll learn more during E3. .....but Ubi may have just killed off another franchise for me.
