This is truly the worst. They are really focusing on PvP modes that literally half of the community don't want/care about. I hope after these game modes they go full force into Free Roam. Where the game actually matters and stands out from the rest of the PvP games out there.

defensive. its the only way to have people basically use Free Aim. they wouldnt be able to ride their horse 100 mph and instantly headshot me. they want to attack me fine, just make sure youre not to used to aimbot or ill be able to defend myself better. the other perks from defensive are stupid though. if someone actually headshots me with pure skill then i should die. lassoing adds a huge factor in the game, not allowing it is beyond stupid. this feature will definitely be abused lol.
-
excuse me kind sir. this new system will have so much work around to it, will be exploited, used to griefers advantage etc... trust me there are a vert few free aim players but I for one could easily use this against anyone since i dont need the auto aim bonus of attacking. this will be manipulated sooo hard lol
-
its laughable at best!!! they clearly can add free aim so wtf are they waiiting for?!?! defensive players wont die by headshots etc... simple they can just shoot you with explosive rounds or throw tnt at you before you can take them out lmao what a ridiculous addition.

*~The Born Brothers Gang~* (Xbox)
Born Homicidal replied to Born Homicidal's topic in Posse Recruitment
bump. still recruiting, our numbers continue to grow but we are still looking for like minded players. -
Yeah my crew member said rockstar reset all her money to 0.00 after she started a hunting mission in north ambarino. So this bug definitely happens.

The map and blips are explained in the HELP section in game. You dont see players on your map unless they are Dark Red (they are aggressive players either to NPCs or Players but not all are bad) where you can see them anywhere on the map. Blue icons you have to be extremely close unless they are bright blue which means they are in your posse. Purple can be spotted a bit further than blue because they are close to being considered aggressive (dark red). If you ever played the story then you know NPCs pop up on the radar/map as smaller versions of the player dots (bright red). They will ambush you from time to time, when you're finished killing them all you get bonus exp and it says "bandits cleared". Im sure you will run into this so.. bright red (regular sized blip) can only be seen in close proximity, and will usually show a general direction on your radar. You won't be able to see them on your map if they go far.
-
as far as I can tell you cant really see if you are a certain color, but I have a theory that it's based on Bounties. as stated a lot of Red players aren't actually griefers/ people that KOS. My crew has been Red at times and we are anti griefing (we are one of the good guys). Ive seen blue players always shoot at us even when we are minding our own business. Light blue- Posse members. Dark Blue- "friendly" players (0.00-5.00 bounty) Purple- semi-"friendly/hostile" player (5.01-9.99 bounty) Dark Red- "Hostile" Player (10.00+ bounty hunters will chase them) Bright Red- Player who has engaged in combat with you/ immediate danger unless on a mission then it just turns them as threats since they are in the radius of your mission so be wary,

Join the First Cavalry Division
Born Homicidal replied to First Cavalry Division's topic in Posse Recruitment
Hello there friend, I am the Commissar of The Born Brothers Gang, I offer you a good welcome to the community and a best wishes in your endeavors. I see that you are looking for other Crews/Posse's to engage in a friendly (ours would be since you are not an enemy) scrimmage and good practice in battle, I believe my crew and I would enjoy having a practice battle with another posse. However we would only want to participate if you and your members switch to Free Aim during our event as we only use Free Aim as our settings. thank you and look forward to hearing from you soon. -
I'm sorry but I cant stand and agree with people who just want to hunt and fish and be left alone.. sure this game is not all PvP and yes you can just hunt and fish all day everyday and wanting peace along with it, hell even I want to just grind a bit with no one attacking me but the reality is that there is PvP enabled in free roam and this does allow for players to attack you. They are Aholes for it sure but its there and its going to happen whether you like it or not. I agree reporting griefers (actual griefing, not "oh he killed my horse" or "oh no he stole my carcass" etc..) but not players who engage in PvP and kill you once or attack during a mission etc.. I honestly want you all that think the griefing and wanting a PvE mode to suggest to Rockstar on their official suggestions page to add in Free AIm lobbies already, here you will deal with PvP and unfortunately griefing (there will always be a way) but a dramatically reduced rate. Its harder for idiots to shoot you in the head one shot while going 30 mph on a horse, even on foot they have to aim where they cant sprint at you and instantly dive around like a lunatic while popping off a headshot with a Varmint Rifle 20 miles away... and in turn you actually get a fighting chance or the ability to run away etc.. I urge you all to suggest this to them. Hell even suggest Auto Aim enabled for NPCs and Free Aim on players. simple and easy fix.

well if you mean swole as in buff then you have to make your character have that attribute/look when creating, otherwise everyone is just Overweight.
-
they need to either remove it, or make it more manageable, I literally have been starving my character, and resting at camp and still overweight since the original Update. its annoying as hell that i cant at least see the progression of how close i am to losing weight or gaining.
-
why does everyone want punishments for anything relating to "PvE" aspects of the game, handle them if they try to steal, attack you etc.. while youre out there hunting and fishing.
-
1. There is an entire Recruitment section that most people seem to ignore on these forums. All types of crews from hardcore players, to "help" crews and even PvE crews that just want to hunt and fish etc.. 2. You only have 1 Camp and its BRIGHT Bluex darker blue is "friendly" player camps Red is "bad" player camps. 3. Press start and go to the HELP section alot of things are explained there. That's your Manual or simply go on YouTube, or guides on the internet. 4. Gifted items are sent to your lockbox at camp or mailbox anywhere, as far as not being able to access that IDK but it doesn't magically teleport to you, you have to manually go to them and retrieve them. 5. You shouldn't have bought a Varmint Rifle as your first rifle, should have gotten a repeater, bow or bolt action all deadly against animals and players. 6. Should go to Rockstars website and offer suggestions, the lower level thing maybe 1-10 should have a "tutorial" phase where they can get on their feet.

Damn so no actual fixes? Like the horse bonding bug, stranger missions etc..?
-
wow your sight for sore eyes, lol usually when i find someone with your mindset they either are on PS4 or European, I don't play RDR on PS4 and European timezone I'm usually at work or they're ready to go to sleep when I'm off. Nice to see that an Xbox Player from North America have these values when it comes to gaming, very rare to see.

what?? i thought it was a myth lol, how did the guy in the 2nd video know where to look/stand, my crew and i were thinking of implementing the storm for a promotion ceremony for our rank of "Storm Bringer". having them needing to be struck by it would be amazing, as if the thunder gods gave them the power to become one =P
-
Haven't even tried online yet. Is it really part of the story?
Born Homicidal replied to Dewy1314's question in Questions & Answers
Not related to the single player directly. Online takes time a year before the single player story begins. -
Try playing with fog against players while you use Free Aim lol damn near impossible to defend against them. Nonetheless we like the Fog and think it would be a badass moment when everyone in that lobby isnt using aimbot. I think we need longer .moments with lighting and thunder though.

Assuming you're on PS4, or from Europe?

well first off let me say welcome to RDR 2 the first game was amazing and one of the best experiences I've had in video games so hopefully this one will be as great or even better than the first, of course that was because I was a part of a Crew that immersed themselves in the game along with other crews etc.. that being said I Believe in order to have the best experience you'd have to join up with people whether it be a just for fun crew, grinding crew, rp crew, competitive etc.. it will definitely help you to enjoy it much more than you would solo. Anyways playing solo is still a viable option, not sure if these were answered but Hunting is literally the best way to make money right now if youre trying to avoid conflict, otherwise replaying the online story missions is or stranger missions but players can attack during those. when I first started, I would hunt small animals such as foxes, turkeys, etc.. hunt enough and you would have enough (now meat) to sell and make decent money until you can buy a Varmint (what I did but you should skip this) so you can finally kill smaller game and get pristine conditioned carcasses, then save up and don't customize anything until you get a bolt action rifle so you can hunt bigger game, then I bought a fishing pole which was so damn worth it I only bought a Lake Lure for 1 gold and it has made me well over 3k dollars alone by just fishing sockeye salmon or steelhead trout. worth the gold. as far as customizing goes, I held off until I had all the weapons I wanted, that way I had several options when it came to combat, bought a different horse so I could travel faster and longer, then clothing to make my native character actually look more native and so forth. camp upgrades do absolutely nothing at the moment but refill your cores at a slightly faster rate if you were to go to your camp and rest. upgraded saddle bags do nothing at the moment either so don't buy those, Pump Shotgun is arguably the best shotgun in game so don't be like me and buy a repeating one, sawed off works great as well when you dual wield. you can sell herbs to a doctor or medicinal vendor forgot what they're called, you can also reset some awards so when you get to gold tier make sure you reset them if possible, fish and hunt for things you can put in your satchel that way if players want to kill you or w.e. you wont lose them. I cant think of anything else, but I started off with nothing and now I have 3 outfits that I made, 4 horses with upgraded saddles, all the guns I want/need fully customized and upgraded, I only buy express ammo. Im only level 68 so its possible to do this without pull a no lifer. Also one other thing I have many perks but I never upgraded them because 1. I play free aim so the ones I use now wont be useful when people cant instantly headshot you or aimbot you, 2. they cost a lot of money and since its a beta they will probably tweak them and change them as the full game comes out (they already did this once). hopefully this helped and idk what else to mention but I truly believe you should look for a crew you find interesting because it enhances the experience, and im extremely anti social so I can kind of understand, but as time goes on you will get comfortable enough with them to actually enjoy their presence. you don't have to but I think it would help. im on xbox as well so hit me up whenever my GT is the same as my name one these forums.

Not gonna quote everything you said as I don't like to repost a long text (personal preference). That being said I can respect your answer.

wow reading your post clearly shows that the red dead 2's story went way over your head, you didnt understand the characters, the gangs, dutch's gangs views on his people, Arthur's views on life, etc.. the Natives vs Army is clear as day. even the random strangers you come across all have details as to why/how they are. Sadie doesnt become a savage overnight smh the game has you progress at times for a few weeks, to months and so on. someone including yourself mentioned "all white cultured gangs you face" or "you cant even kill any natives" somehow missed that the Mexican De Lobos are in the game, there are black groups in the swamp that attack you, blacks in other gangs, and the Skinner Brothers consist of many Native Americans that obviously left/lost their tribes. you clearly didnt understand or follow the story nor the timeline and its plots. it is a shame considering Arthur was one of the greatest characters alone, not including the story which was also one of the greatest. this topic literally just seems like an excuse to have Conservatives complain about "the liberals" or "the left" and sh*t that doesn't even matter.
-
Ahhh don't remind me of the good old days!!! I was hoping they implemented that again in this game. Hopefully they do come out with Hardcore Mode again. As for my previous post about Auto Aim bots but not players that could work in Hardcore mode. Add in Aim Assist rather than the full blown auto aim mechanic and even those PvE players wont be able to complain about much when it comes to the lobby or PvP.
