  1. Really? I was under the impression that only the PS+ account could log into RDR online... Might have to actually try this...
  2. Yes, it’s a good list of interesting weapons of the day. Maybe I’d add a MAS 1873 French revolver... I don’t know why, but I just like those things...
  3. Now this i’d play... especially if you start in a drunk state, and after every opponent you down you have to go to the bar for another drink of whiskey before you can fight again... Maybe throw in some classic bar room one time use melee weapons (a bottle, chair... something that’ll do a little extra damage but gets destroyed in the hit)...
  4. I can’t help but think of the double deuce episode of archer.... Woodhouse: Give him a Webley... Archer: What the hell is a Webley... *THUMP*
  5. I don’t like the handheld maxim gun idea... but I could go for a wagon death race...
  6. Well, I didn’t say rockets of the time were effective... just that they existed lol. Yeah, many of the rifles and arms would really just be reskins of what we already have really... but I say throw them in anyway.
  7. This one made me laugh... for reference, I can buy a Colman folding shovel with a digging pick for $16 Canadian in today’s money.
  8. I can’t say the same... I’m a bit of a gun hoarder. I’m not sure I’ll be happy even if I filled a whole museum LOL.
  9. Not 100%, but I’m pretty sure the Enfield officially replaced the Metford throughout the common wealth by the mid 1890’s... for sure by the late 1890’s... so definitely within the time frame of RDR2... On a side note, I’ve used Lee Enfields during Arctic Patrols into the 21st century, as they were not only more reliable in the hellish cold, but had a little more Oomph to take out a potential rouge Polar Bear than the standard 5.56 modern military cartridge... I actually have three different Enfields... This one is my favorite... a nice all in one piece No.4 Mk 1* with a first issue spike bayonet...
  10. Well, maybe not rocket launchers... but rockets as an artillery piece have been in use in warfare long before RDR2 timeline... check out the Congreve Rocket, developed somewhere around 1804 for an example... oh, and this was written in 1814 I believe, I doubt that hey would have mentioned rockets if they weren’t used in the bombardment... Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
  11. Well, yesterday I worked. Today I’m sitting in a pharmacy waiting for a flu shot... then off to pick up some elk meat. Later I’ll finish up some wiring on my UTV and get the snow plow mounted. I’ll find time to goof with the boys somewhere in there... Then back to work tomorrow... I don’t think I’ve had a gaming marathon since the days we’d all take our computers to someone’s house, make our own little LAN and have a weekend long Warcraft 2 or Starcraft battle...
  12. I’m barely into the roles myself... but I only have a couple hours a week to play (less with hunting season in high gear and trapping season to get ready for... And Modifying my new UTV for winter duty)... but when they’re maxed out I’ll keep making money on them and wait for the next update... save up some cash for a new farm maybe...
  13. I think Moosh is onto the right idea here... when running in a posse, your supplies are split somehow, maybe 25/75 or whatever, between The posse crips and your personal Cripps (posse leader of course will have most of all of his supplies going to his Cripps and few if any doled out to the other players. There are benefits to being in charge after all.). Now, the other players will be able to check on their personal progress at the camp butcher table. But the posse leader must start the delivery or resupply mission for the other players. But when it is the other players turn, they get payed as if they started the mission from their own camp. Also, why not bring upgrades to your personal camp to the posse camp? Say the leader doesn’t have the improved camp fire, but you do, it could be part of the posse camp while you are running together... After all, we don’t have Dutches ‘pay me’ box. There should be some ways to share resources...
  14. Yes, I keep another freebie horse tucked away for just such an occasion.
  15. Suit yourself I suppose. But in my mind, killing someone in your path while doing a mission is way lower on the griefer like behaviour scale than killing people with explosive ammo repeatedly after said mission is over... but I do get why you would feel the urge to. I wouldn’t engage in your revenge myself, but there are those who don’t like being killed in that context enough to chase you around. just to clarify... I’m not calling you a griefer. Just saying your actions could easily be interpreted that way by a group of guys who finished the mission then see you riding up over the ridge shooting at them.
  16. Yeah... I wouldn’t have had a problem with your story at all if it was kept to the confines of the delivery mission. Where you loose me, and in my opinion stray danger close to griefer territory, is when you waited for the mission to be over and started harassing them with explosive ammo.... I don’t really blame them for chasing you across the map and getting all salty. That’s kind of on you for taking the post mission revenge spree...
  17. That’s perfectly fine by me. Running solo often, I’ve developed more of a shoot first, apologize later attitude, most especially when it comes to trying to accomplish a task that other players can mess with. Its easier for me to keep my wagon than it is to try and take it back. I also understand this mentality, so I get it when someone Shoots me when they’re rolling by with a mission that can be interfered with and I’m in the way. I won’t screw with them after they’re done. I might take it as an invite to try and steal their stuff. But like I said, once it’s over and there is no longer anything on the line, the gun fight is over working o me.
  18. Well, I prefer it over the active aggressive approach lol. Basically, however it shakes out, for me when the mission is over the killing is over. Once it goes beyond the confines of the event, it becomes pointless again. If someone insists on getting their revenge hits or two, well, so be it. If it become a regular annoyance, I’ll likely just hop servers. I generally prefer to avoid long drawn out pointless gun battles because someone else is butt hurt over being in the wrong place at the wrong time and had to be killed to ensure the mission succeeds in those last moments. I mean, I personally have seen the nice guy ploy, and fallen for it, only to be shot in the back of the head before... so when money is on the line, it’s usually better to be safe than sorry.
  19. They keep adding legendary bounties... how could one possibly do them all?
  20. Well, When I’m on it’s usually just me and the Liquor... so I’m more inclined to just leave people alone unless they’re coming right at me... but if I had a few of the Liquor Snurfs with me, I just might send one out to make sure the buffer is maintained (perhaps a gun goes off, someone gets accidentally shot...). But I also wouldn’t chase someone across the map when they get their cheap revenge kills in... just seems like a waste of time to me.
  21. Yeah. You can’t be to careful these days when your out doing a mission. Personally, if someone is doing something like that, I happen to get in the way and get shot, I just let it go... on the other hand, I just might take up the challenge and see if I can’t get me some free supplies for Cripps to make me some money with...
  22. I agree. There are plenty of situations where some conflict could take place within the bounds of some kind of mission or event... but too many out there take things a little too far.
  23. Oh, ok. That’s different. That’s why I ask for clarification lol.
  24. Just so I got this straight... you were doing a delivery, which allows thievery in the game.. then a possie successful stole your delivery? But rather than steal it back, you waited until the mission was over before harassing them with explosive ammo? If I read that right, it definitely sounds like there was a griefer involved, though I’m not sure that label should be put on the possie doing some legitimate outlawing during the mission...
  25. Yes, avoiding the other players is really the only way to ensure you’ll never be killed by other players... But defensive mode does give you some advantages you can use to get the upper hand or escape a hostile player. But it does allow a hostile player to still try and kill you if they desire. Bottom line, it mostly works as intended, but you still have to be aware of your surroundings and do your part.
