  1. I Am very aware of your position, you say if you play a certain way, stay away from others, give a wide berth, etc.. you can minimize your issues, I get it. And I did take your advice for a time and it was somewhat effective, no doubt. I was more disapointed because I had avoided online games for years but I loved this game so much I coudnt get enough, after finishing the story ode 3 times I jumped in and well, things didnt get off to a good start. My very first day in the online game a group of players slowly followed me to my camp, which I was running to because I thought it gauranted my safety and I didnt know what they were up too, one took my horse and started leading him away and I panicked and started shooting, lol I was quickly killed and then after a few more kills, all on my part as I had a cattleman, a carbine and I think a bow, we started talking and they laughed and explained to me, as a matter of practice when they see a new player they like to follow them to their camp and then just be obnoxious to see what the new player does, kind of a crappy thing to do, but to them this was fun. That was my first ever day in game, and I have three or four other really rough days, actually far worse than that day, but after a while as I Said above, I developed a strategy similar to what you recommended I do, and that shifted over time. Your advice is good advice and yes it will help a player struggling with others a little, no doubt, but again, I love this game and I am not going to continually be the one to yield. The day the Spring update hit, that first day with the hostility system in place, I went to Valentine, parked my horse and walked up and down the sidewalk, shopping, drinking etc.. it was great, I had no fear at all, I had over estimated the systems protections, but for that day, it was glorious and so much fun, for the very first time I did whatever I wanted to do with zero fear of being hassled, and once you taste that freedom, there is no going back. Im also stubborn, as my game history will clearly show, when I set out to do something, one way or the other I do it, but you and a few others did keep me in game in the early days as my expectations were a lot different than what I experienced and I was truly disappointed. I basically played alone, all the time, I either hid in Colter hunting and running those missions over and over and over to level up and before that I fished, I fished my way from level 7 to level 38, then from 38 to 100 I ran Colter, sure I still had issues but they were far fewer over all and they didnt bother me as much as I had a hard target goal. Also, around level 38 I joined a mil sim community which meant I wasnt alone anymore, we did a lot of recruiting and fought group battles, etc.. and that conditioning and experience gave me the confidence and drive to level up and fight back so the remaining 62 levels werent as agonizing as the first 38, plus they ran some bonus weeks where they lowered the requirements for certain horses and weapons, and I took advantage of those times, I was grinding like it was my job. When I got to level 94ish it was in sight, once I hit level 100 I switched my strategy once again I equipped myself and did whatever I wanted, I didnt walk on egg shells or hide anymore, I ran all the missions, I did the remaining story missions I didnt know existed because I was always high honor, etc.. as I was able to protect myself a lot more than when I was a lower level fewer issues sprung up. So, after level 100 I no longer stressed over it in general and I definitely didnt yield to players simply because I Was afraid of being attacked, once you get dyna arrows and exploding rounds and tier 3 cards, your confidence goes way up. Today, if you just start it is a whole other game, I see people everyday in game and we are all so busy collecting, hunting, etc.. most of the time, there is no interaction, some times we talk and hang a bit, and every once in a while usually a new player will take some cheap shots, but it hardly ever happens at all anymore. Only one time I can think of that a high level player just chose me to target for no reason, it happens, but as I said, even not worrying about others, it almost never happens at all anymore to me anyway.
  2. So, my hope was that Stadia would offer RDR2 to those who bought the pro version, had fast enough internet speeds and a 4k tv could in fact play the game at native 4k/60 fps as advertised. However, after seeing all the examples of it, comparing the image quality side by side to the pc and X1X, it is clear this is not the case. See it would have been fantastic to be able to play the game at the same or better image quality than the X1X except at 60 fps instead of the xbox's 30 fps, to me it was worth spending the $200 game included to achieve this. The game looks fantastic in native 4k even at 30 fps, problem is that in certain areas those 30 fps dip down in the teens, my hope was that 60 fps might only dip into the 50's and remain very smooth, however..... Come to find out after some searching and talking to supervisor techs at Google Stadia, they in fact run the game at an upscalled 1080p image to 4k, so it is not the same, doesnt look as high quality and doesnt measure up to side by side comparisons. It will not look better than what you are currently seeing if you play on an X1X on a 4k monitor or tv. My hope was this was an inexpensive way to get closer to pc clarity and smoothness for a very modest price. I saw the choices as either buy a next gen console, $500 or under, build or buy a gaming rig capable of running native 4k @ 60 fps with quality settings cranked up to Ultra and high but the cost is very high, $3500 to $6000 or possibly Google Stadia. They advertised it as such, but as I said above, turns out that technically isnt the case. So although I am sure I am in the minority of players who would have re purchased the game only to experience it at a better quality and high frame rates, this is not the case, so I wanted to put a bow on the subject with some definitive information. There is still a market for Stadia once they work out the kinks, if you are a 1080 player, it is pretty good as is, and the ability to pause it and put it to another device and continue seems like a great idea for some. If I just wanted to play at 1080p I would def consider the Stadia as the cost is very attractive, but if you are like me and only in search of the best over all gaming experience you can achieve with this game Stadia isnt an option. It has its place in the market and I am sure it will only get better in time, I dont think it was meant for or will try to become a competitor for the best quality image as compared to pc or X1X that just doesnt seem to be their concern at least not at this point, who knows what the future might hold, but as of now, if you want to see the game at its best your two options are as mentioned earlier, a pc or an X1X, and a next gen console that might offer it at 4k/60 fps, which is my next target as that would still be a lot less expensive than a gaming rig, although it may never rival the pc's ability to crank up settings to ultra on everything and still achieve 60 fps or more, it does promise to be a solid 2nd place and 2nd best way to see RDR2 in all its glory at least right now, we will have to wait and see what actually happens when the next consoles are made available to us.
  3. LOL, gotchya.
  4. Well, to be fair, long distance wagon deliveries are subject to being raided robbed, etc.. that is part of the game. I dont mind that at all, now mind you I never waste my time doing it to others as I know how frustrating it is to get all that stuff together then try to deliver it, but when it happened to me, I didnt get upset, I realized, I took a chance and lost, which is why I now only do local deliveries, lol it is $500 gauranteed that extra $150 I can make up by collecting while out there and I put my camp so these local delivers take me around 3 minutes, so the time I Save allows me to more than make up for that $150. That isnt griefing, it is just playing the game as it was intended, grieifng is people going out of their way when you are doing nothing or some benign thing and they go out of their way to kill you, chase you around the map, follow you to other servers, bait you in then take advantage of the current system to make you the red blip etc.. Killing you while you re fishing definitely qualifies as griefing if you ask me. Any activity meant to ruin your time for their amusement when it is not necessarily part of the game meaning there is no gain for them to do it. We will never be rid of it as people are just unpredictable and curious and etc.. so it will always happen to some extent and that is part of the game to, we cant help it or fully stop it, but it has been reduced to such small factor that you just dont see it as much as it used to happen.
  5. Funny this exact thing happened to me a few times back in the day, not in a long long time, but people used to walk right up to me while I was fishing at night and just head shot me from 5 feet away then ride off, lol, it is frustrating, but it doesnt seem to happen anymore. I disagree with anyone suggesting you have to act a certain way to avoid jerks for the lack of a better term in game. I get the outlaw stuff and all that but some of it was just lame, and noone should be forced to behave a certain way or else in any game. In time as you rank up you can insulate yourself from these type of players to some extent and not have to worry about treating every other player like a serial killer and staying very clear, you should be able to play it anyway you want if you arent bothering anyone and not worry about being murdered simply for existing. Sadly right or wrong, it kind of is that way, but as I started to say, if you rank up, rank up your cards, load up on powerful ammo types, etc.. you can give yourself a good chance to survive these encounters so if this does happen you have a very good chance to escape or dish it out to whoever it was that thought it would be fun to interrupt your game time with their nonsense without having to curb your plans. if you just rode a long way to collect an item you need to complete a set and you get there to find a player or group of players doing whatever they want, you should not have to leave the area in fear that these players migth decide to take target practice out on you, but if they do, and you are prepared for it, meh, its currently pretty manageable. Keans advice is sound advice to be sure to minimize these things, especially if you are vulnerable because of your rank or loadout, I just take issue with this approach personally, despite how difficult it is to mitigate no player should have to have their time interrupted because other players just decide to hassle you, in a game with several ways to pvp, there just is no excuse, I think we make way to many concessions for players doing this. I have never killed another player or even shot at another player who didnt shoot at me first, and Ive played nearly every day for 8 months, so I just think others could show a little respect for others time and use the rule, if you dont me, dont shoot at me, unless I am shooting at you. But as we all know that just isnt how it is , but it does seem to be a LOT better than it was.
  6. I have to say, I havent been griefed, really griefed, since long before the Summer update, and the last time a random shot at me, it lasted all of two seconds, I just kept riding, and that was it. I really dont see any of these aggressive players anymore. When I go into a town and see a few red blips, and x's all over the ground, I use my mic, say, excuse me fella's just passing by, and if they shoot at me, I go faster lol but I dont hang around and look for trouble. Nobody has chased me, or really attacked though in a long long time. I carry a very heavy defensive tank build so unless you hit me with dynamite you aren't going to do anything to me anyway, which is exactly why I use that build, it shows me who is shooting, and gives me a chance to get away. If I can get away I go, if I Cant, then I fight, but honestly it hasnt happened in so long I cant even remember the last time that it did happen. I dont tip toe around players either, if they are blue, I just ignore them and go where I am going and do whatever I am doing, I use my mic and talk to people in my proximity, I would say around 50% of them talk back and say something nice, the other half dont say anything, most of them do what I am doing, just mind their business and we just respect eachother. I am glad the way it is now, I really dont worry about anyone in the map, but should some outlaw attack, Im ready.
  7. So, 4th times a charm I guess, I have had the game for over a year, played it to completion three times and got my online character up to level 291. I was looking at the pc version and graphics and then looking for Stadia info because I really would love to see it at 4k/60. I was getting 4k/30 with my set up but it didnt feel it. I decided to look at my tv settings and realized I have two or three settings that are specifically for the refresh rate/vsync, they were set to their minimum values and said to increase the refresh rate and reduce judder turn them up, so I did and TADA !!! its like a new game!! I cant believe how much clearer it is, the graphics are the same, but the fps have increased dramatically. When I would ride on my horse and look to the side before to see something it would be blury, hard to focus, etc..I got used to it and managed, but now when I look to the sides it is crystal clear, like a cinematic mode all the time sort of effect, it looks amazing and has inspired me to play it yet again!! every step of the way as I go through the game is blowing me away it looks so amazing I am loving it all over again. I cant believe I had the game a year and never realized I had the ability to increase frames per second in my tv settings, I just never thought about it. So, if you do play on a 4k display, you might have some settings in there that are designed to help reduce artifacts and judders and issues that if you try them you may find that you get better frames and smoother play. Ive played the game at 1080p and 4k and now 4k / 30 or smoother and the difference is night and day it is like a different game, more breathtaking that ever, my next stop is to look at Stadia to see if I can run it at 4k/60 as they claim but I want to see at what quality they run it at on their servers, if it is as good as the xbox one X I am all in with it, but we have to wait and see, I think it releases in a day or two. I loved the game before this, it looked amazing, I only had a little slow down in St Denis or Valentine or sometimes around fire and trains and lots of people, etc.. otherwise it runs pretty smoothly all the time, but now as I said it is much better than I was used too, I am so glad I took the time to look into it, but wish I had done this a year ago.
  8. Hi all, So I had let this sit a while, we werent getting very many people so O took a break from it. If you guys do want to join us, Ill become more active in it again. Tomorrow Ill get the discord info and update the post, Ill let my partners know also so they will know to welcome any new folks who want to join us. It would be nice to have help for those who want it. I am level 291, all maxed out on everything and I have around $25k in cash and 100 gold bars, and lately I have only been doing one or two daily challenges, so Ill tighten it up tomorrow and add a note here for you folks that want to join us.
  9. Yes the economy opens up substantially once you become a trader/collector. The hunting wagon to me is a waste, I own them all, but I never use them. By the time you get it out and use it, its full, then you have to send it away or ride it back, and get your horse, etc.. I dont bother, I just hunt on my horse, yes you can only carry one carcass but you can carry over 50 pelts and other stowed animals, everyone is different, but for me, I never use the hunting wagon, I tried it twice when it was new and found I can do as well or better without it. I wish it held a lot more than it does, if you only use it for good carcasses it can be helpful in some instances especially daily challenges but otherwise to me, it isnt necessary or worth it.
  10. I am like the OP not an online gamer, I almost never play games in multiplayer, I tried this one reluctantly but since the game was so amazing I thought I owed it to myself to try it. You can find my old posts from last March on here, I didnt get it, from level 7 to 38 was so miserable back then, it was BETA and things were very different, but once I got to level 55 I felt a lot better and stuck it out, today I am on level 290 and I play it everyday for daily challenges and wait for updates, there are several ways to really enjoy the game online and it truly is a lot of fun even if you arent the type of person who normally plays online multiplayer games. If you give it a try, you may enjoy it, it really is like an extension of Story mode but again online is a prequel, it takes place a year or more before the events of Story mode in RDR2. Like most other games there is PVP mode so you can try various modes of player vs player that exist like showdowns and races, etc.. but free roam also has many mission givers, dynamic events, story missions for online only, some for high honor others for low honor players, now we have roles you can buy into trader, collector and bounty hunter roles, are very fun, make a ton of money and open up many other things to do in free roam, there really is a lot of ways to enjoy and experience rdr2 online.
  11. Ok, good, sorry I hadnt read this first, enjoy the game.
  12. I wish that I could, if I had the cash, I would definitely get the game again on pc, but for me to enjoy it at 4k/60 fps would be cost prohibitive. I do enjoy watching the builds though. Many pc's are running it very well at 1440 and 1080, but to run it at 4k 60 is very taxing to most pc's. I think even though I have played the game 3 times on the xbox one x, in native 4k/30 fps. I am going to buy the Stadia set up and then buy rdr2 again, which seems like a waste but I think experiencing it at 60 fps over 30 fps will make it worth it and it will be fun to play it again. Being it will cost $130.00 and 10$ a month that I play it, I can swing that for a little winter fun. Im jealous of the folks with the 2080's and I9 9900 series chips, lol you folks have my attention, these rigs are eating the game up @ 4k, and it looks amazing!!
  13. To clarify, I meant to run the game at 4k/60 fps or better at ultra or high settings. To do that takes one or two 2080's and they are over $1000.00 each, the I9 9900 cpu is another $1000.00 or so, and that is before motherboard, storage, memory, etc.. so $4k is actually on the low end, because if I were to spend the money on the 2080's I would def go witht he high end options elswhere to really open it all up, it runs around $6000.00 all told. So, if you want to run the game at 1080 sure, you can do that on a very conservative pc you dont need a super pc or high end gamer really, just a well set up and optimized system with a decent gpu and cpu and memory. My point was on xbox one x I play at native 4k 30 fps, I was hoping to either A see the pc added content OR find a way to play the game at 60 fps or more on high or ultra settings. Thee Stadia will deliver 4k/60 but I dont know at what settings, I am sure there is some balancing and these numbers probably dont indicate at ultra settings not to mention if they develope the game like SOny or Microsoft then you wont even have those setting option within the game, it will just be set for you and you have minimal input. A few people online have built these gaming rigs with 1 and 2 2080's and they are running the game at 4k 60 and it looks amazing, they dont have everything cranked, but they do have most things set to ultra, the flow of the game is just on another level when you get 60 fps at those settings, it is a really great way to experience this game, sadly I wont be able too, but I think 4k 60 from Stadia might still be an improvement over the xbox one x, at times in Valentine and St Denis my frames drop into the teens, usually only in those two spots and only for a few seconds but still I would like to see it never drop like that if possible.
  14. So I learned a lot in 2 days. To run the game at 4k / 60 fps at high or ultra settings is gonna take at the very least the 2080 ti I think it is one of the 2080's along with the I9 chip will do it, a system with dual 2080's has been running it smooth as butta for Tagback on his channel. Then I watched a ton of benchmarks videos, the only way to get to 4k/60 at high or ultra settings is the above formula. If you want 1080p at ultra and high settings there are several options, some not very super high end either. I already play it in 4k at 30 fps and lower so for me, I just want to find a way to increase frames @ 4k, the only reasonable option for me is going to be Stadia. And I found out they do not run pc versions, they are developing and have been developing their own versions specifically for Stadia, so my hope of playing the pc version for the added content is a bust, BUT I did find a way to get it at 4k/60 without buying any pc hardware. Also, Stadia will own and maintain and upgrade the hardware and find better and better ways over time to deliver 4k/60 or better, so for now this seems to be the least expensive way to obtain 4k/60 fps if you own a 4k tv or monitor.
  15. Red Dead Redemption 2 – Rockstar Games’s hit open world Wild West action game is coming to the PC, and it will be a Google Stadia launch title. The above sentence excited me, I think they will be broadcasting pc versions of most games as well as developing games specifically for Stadia in time, but for now, the games they plan to release I beleive are pc versions. Now if thats true, the for me there is no need to build a high end rig to play rdr2 @4k/60 fps, Stadia will broadcast the game at those settings as long as you have the pro version and your bandwith can handle it. That is not to say that if you have or you get a high end pc you can very likely upgrade your settings perhaps even further, I dont know, I also dont know how much freedom you might have with Stadia to tweak settings or turn them on higher to see what your max settings are, we will have to wait for it to release to find that out. I ran a test to see where I would be and I hit 87 Mbs whereas they are calling for 35 min to get those settings. So for $130, plus 10$ a month it seems, I am not sure yet, but it looks like you should be able to play rdr2 pc version on your 4k tv via a google compatible device or Chrome as long as you have Stadia, I really hope so anyway, this is the only way I am going to be able to experience the game at those settings. If that is true, I am going to get it for two reasons, to see the extra content we dont get on console and to see the game at its highest settings, or higher settings than my xbox one x. I get 4k now but I dont get 60 fps, sometimes I might, I really dont know, but I do know for sure many times it is way lower than that, even into the teens at times, and if I can find a way to run the game at 4k /60 fps without purchasing a new rig, I am all in.
  16. Well it is up to each individual to get what they want, if you dont care about graphics or resolution then 1080p is fine, its damn good actually, it just isnt as nice as 4k, especially 4k @ 60fps. Nobody "needs" a 4k, well let me take that back, some folks who work on graphics and video encoding, etc,. maybe need a 4k, but most gamers do not need it, they would just prefer to have it if available. I def cant go back, once you have played in 4k its hard to go back,
  17. Thanks for the reply. I decided to do a hard start or restart and that seems to have fixed it. I looked around on Reddit and saw that others had this same thing happen to them at some point and there wasnt any real solution other than just re boot essentially. Anyway, it worked fine after a re start.
  18. To be honest with you, I only use PIB once in a while, depending on the situation, 9999% of the time, I run S&S, fool me once, kick in the butt and Iron lung. It works great for me. I prefer it as I know for sure unless you hit me with a dyna arrow you wont kill me, I have plenty of time to drink a tonic, and either split, or charge, either way, I am good for a long fight, as I am 100% stocked everywhere I go, so in a situation like this I have tons of tonics and enriched big game meat. Quick tip, if you use the Breton while you are using S&S you dont slow down!! lol So if you are on horseback say hunting, and you get attacked, you can go straight into s&S and ride hard to the targets, until they fix it, use it, more defense and speed to boot, plus you loose bloom and your accuracy improves drastically.
  19. Well, they come down in price everyday, I recommend a tv over a monitor so you can use it for everything, but to each his own. Although, projecting a 4k image from pc to such a large screen ie: 70" or bigger can add a challenge to your pc hardware in some cases, whereas a 24" or even 40" monitor can be amazing too, I just prefer a big screen for everything, I have a 60 in my bedroom and a 70 in my living room. Everyone is different and has their own preference, so you may or may not care that much about the extra quality, I for one have to have it, once I saw one in person it was a wrap, I had to get one. If I were to build a gaming rig today I woudl def use my 70" as a gaming monitor and my build woudl be done with that in mind, It is the kind of thing you will have for many years if you take care of it and get a decent one and anything you use everyday for years on end is where I think quality makes a difference, even on a bad day when I turn it on it makes me smile and rdr2 looks amazing!! I bought mine about 5 years ago for around $2000.00, it sold for $2800.00 but I found a wholesale deal if I was willing to drive to another state, which I did, at the time the only thing close to it as far as features are concerned was a Sony for around $6000.00 I looked at them all in person and was a huge pain in the butt shopper lol. The features it has that I wanted were Full array lighting, smart tv, 70" or bigger, etc.. the lighting thing was a big one though after looking at many many sets. I did look at a few that were even nicer than mine, but the cost was more than double and it wasnt twice as good of an image, it was just a little nicer, so for the extra $$ I decided to go the route I took. The one I got or one similar can be bought now for under $1000.00 some as low as $500 if you look hard. I just knew if I was going to play 4k games on an xbox one x in native 4k, I wanted a true 4k set. The 4k image on tv is amazing, even though not all channels broadcast in 4k, the ones that do look unreal, seriously, when you first see it you will say, it looks unreal, kind of like an old soap opera, there just is this look that takes a while to get used to. Im also an old school Star Wars fan so for me to watch the movies in 4k on a big screen at home was a life long dream since 1977 when I first saw Star Wars and back then you couldnt see it again, there was no vhs or dvd or any other way to see the movie a second time for many years after it came out unlike now. Meanwhile 5 years later I love this tv everytime I put it on for anything I am amazed, it looks fantastic, even my wife who didnt care one way or the other and was less than stoked when I told her I am driving 2 hours from home to spend $2000.00 on a tv. If you have an opportunity to get a 4k set or monitor I do recommend it, IF you are the type of person who either watches a lot of tv, movies and plays a lot of games, it is well worth it for the enjoyment everytime you turn it on. Some people dont care that much and so it isnt for everyone, personally a good tv and a good bed are two things I really enjoy and always have the best I can afford but that is just me.
  20. UPDATE: (So, if you want 7 outfits saved to your horse it is very easy to do. You need to own, and equip the collectors improved saddle bags to EVERY horse and saddle. Once you do this, you can just go save 7 outfits, edited, custom, purchased, role, etc.. doesnt matter, just save your outfits as you please.) I saw a guy today on youtube who managed to save 7 outfits to his horse. I am on a mission to figure this out. If anyone has figured it out please reply below. If you dont know, you can make and save custom outfits in your wardrobe, then save up to 5 of them if you have upgraded saddle bags on your horse.
  21. I have had 5 outfits saved to my horse from the beginning, but today I saw in that video this person had 7 outifts saved, it said, 7 of 7 outfits saved to your horse, and once it said 5 of 7 etc.. I did the obvious thing and asked him how to do it, but youtube comments leave a lot to be desired and often you never get an answer. I looked carefully and saw it was the collector saddle, I forget the name, the one with all the accessories so I tried that but it didnt make a difference, also he has the bags with the pockets on the front, also a collector item I believe, maybe trader I forget anyway we got it in the update from the club membership thing, either way nothign worked, I am stuck at 5 outifts saved to my horse, which you woudl think is plenty, and for the most part it is, but I would love to have 2 more. I keep a winter outfit, then 4 other outfits, I swap them depending on where in the game I am, a couple look cowboy-ish others look more bandito-ish, if that makes any sense, anyway, I would love to add a dress outfit and a camo outfit, like I made a couple all white outfits, a Lone Ranger thing, and one was for cold weather so in the snowy regions I blend right in, especially on a white horse, but I dont carry it as I cant fit it with my other choices and those I do swap between multiple times each session. So, if you know how to save 7 outifts to your horse please let me know. If you dont know how to save 5 and want to know, just ask, Ill tell you how I did it, it is simply upgraded saddle bags, then use your wardrobe to save them.
  22. I just went in game to find my daily challenges were grayed out and under the menu it said, "Daily challenges are disabled". Has anyone else seen this?
  23. Its great to get everyones opinions since we really dont know what to expect as of now. I was hoping that it would be a way to play the pc version on any device because the game itself is being hosted on a powerful server, if this is true, you are getting pc content that consoles dont get, you are getting graphics and frame rates also not available on console so again, I am curious as to how it will all play out, not saying it will be good or not or better than a console version, but I hope so, lol.
  24. If you look at Ryzen prices, and current builds with benchmarks they are doing right now, a $1000.00 system can def run the game, but not at 4k 60 fps, perhaps with some tweaking, but not with everything on, and for me, if I am going to go to pc over console it is for one reason, to see the max settings, meaning lighting effects on, shading, etc.. and at or over 60 fps with dips into the 30's and 40's so never a laggy moment. To get there takes a LOT of tech,, just the chips and gpus will cost you over $1000.00 no motherboard or case, etc.. Ive been watching builds on youtube for years and current builds are running budget under $1000, over $1000, from $3500 to $6000. The higher end machines are the only ones I would expect a true 4k at 60 fps experience, but again, I am guessing, until it actually gets released we cant be sure. Now with pc games sure you can alwasy back off settings to get higher frame rates, but my whole point with all of this is to experience rdr2 at the most amazing settings possible. So, max settings, everything on ultra high, @ 4k and always over 60 fps I think is going to take a pretty hefty machine. Again, once it is out and players have loaded it, we will see. In the past I built dozens of rigs, often tey would run me around $2500 to build, and that is just the platform, mobo, chip, memory, storage, gpu, and power supply, after that I woudl just swap out older cases, and other peripherals. Whenever I do a build for myself I always try to figure out what will get me into the top 1% of performance builds, thats just me, sure I can play games with much more budget conscious machines but then I would just use my xbox if I want to go that route. If my xbox one x can get me 4k at 30 fps with dips in St Denis, and Valentine to under 20 fps then a pc needs to do a LOT better. For $450 I can already get 4k 30 fps as I do now, no need to go to pc for that, to me, if I am going to pc it is for the ultimate experience. If Stadia can get there for $130.00 plus a $9.99 monthly fee then im in, but I want to see it, I want to see it running at 60 fps or higher with some of the settings that were shut down on console to free up frame rates, but again, time will tell.
  25. Understood, see I am not sure but from what I am reading, I thought you were getting the pc version essentially with Stadia vs the console version, but maybe I have that wrong. To run it at 4k 60 fps and 8k 120 fps sounds more like pc to me, but maybe it is the console version just amped up? Stadia runs the game on their servers, which are of course, pc's not consoles, I am just not sure yet as it is so new, anyway thanks for the input, I only asked because I thought perhaps it would be different than console or pc and would warrant its own section, but once it is out and we actually have people using it maybe we can judge that better then.
