Hmm I have done a few and none of them qualify, not sure what I am missing.

There is a daily challenge to complete 1 special moonshine recipe. I dont see one in my menu and I am not sure how to do it. Can someone explain please? If it is a daily challenge it must be something I can do, it isnt locked, but I looked in all my recipe papers and stuff, I dont see it anywhere and I would like to get the gold for doing it. Im level 20 shiner, completed the missions and all that, so I must have missed it.
-
So I noticed in someones video on youtube they had 5 story missions in their list to replay, (Unless they were showing the menu before they played them the first time while talking about replaying them, not sure.) but in his list "Blood is thicker than shine" was the first mission, in my list the first mission is "where there's smoke there's firewater" Is that right or am I missing the Blood is thicker than firewater in my replay menu? My thought was either you dont get to replay that one, OR maybe you need low honor for it to appear in the menu? Do any of you have all 5 missions in your menu after you have completed them the first time?

So, in a conversation with R* I mentioned that it doesnt seem fair to offer all these discounts on items that many of us who have been around for a while now already own and cant take advantage of like hunting wagons and camp upgrades, when we bought them it was hard to make money, there were no roles, now that it is super easy to earn cash, they discount everything for new players, but what about all of us who already purchased all these things? I think they should forward us a rebate for the % off of what we paid whenever they run these for one. But that got me thinking and I had an idea, what about the occasional reward for high level players? Like how about this, when you hit level 100 and each time you hit another 100 levels you are rewarded with a special coat for your horses unavailable to others lower than lvl 100 or 200 or 300 etc.. so not an advantage of any kind, just bragging rights, you have access to special coats for existing horses when you hit these milestones, like the Missouri Fox Trotter for example, it has two available coats, but what if they added 4 more so every 100 levels you had the option of changing the coat of your horse to a unique otherwise unavailable coat. Or how about working bandoleers and satchel upgrades, at level 100 you get a working bandoleer that allows you to carry more ammo, 10 more rounds than usual and at lvel 200 you get 20 more and level 300 you get 30 more, all the way up to level 500. So although not an advantage per say a convenience if you took the time to grind out those levels. I get it they want to attract new players and help them get started, but we got started when it was beta, we ground up when there was litle to do and it was hard to earn any real money. I have a whole pile of discounts I earned in this last membership club thing, but I already purchased everything they apply too, they are useless to me, yet I earned them same as everyone else, shouldnt we get a reward as well? I just think if there was more to offer players who have ranked up a lot it would be one more thing to keep them in the game and give them some incentive to keep leveling up. they could use maybe new ability cards you get per 100 levels, new horses, new clothing, and weapons, or weapon customization's, etc.. What do you think? It just irritates me that I have a discount for camp upgrades when I already purchased all the camp upgrades and I cant use it, or a rebate for items we already own would be nice, but I think high level items to justify grinding after level 100 should be a thing, even if they are cosmetic. Just my opinion anyway.

Yes, the day I hit level 100 I armed up with all the above mentioned and made it known, I will not yield again!!! LOL, I dont ever look for a fight, but if you bring it, I will finish it. It has to be discouraging to be a newer player and go on the attack in a posse only to be thwarted by one guy in a wagon killing you with single shots and dyna arrows from long range blowing up you and our horse, hope you bought the insurance, lol.

Sadly this has ended, I cant make it happen anymore, the other day on its own it just happened though, I was on a server and people just started dropping, it was 19, then 17, 15, 12, and finally 6, at 6 animals were so abundant it was super easy ti fill a wagon with carcasses and move on, I loved it. It stinks that the game has this issue, from what I can tell, and this is only a guess from a guy who has played everyday except 2 since March 15th 2018, when there are more than 12 payers on a server the animal spawns dwindle until there are nearly none, and then the game is a wasteland, nothing to do, nothing to hunt, no dynamic events, not even that stupid barking dog. I dont know what it will take for R* to fix this, I suppose a server limit to 12 players would do it but then they would need twice as many servers to accommodate the population of players on a given system. If something costs R* gold they patch it very quickly, otherwise it can take months and sometimes they never patch it, so it is super frustrating to still be dealing with this, I mean cmon it is the basis of the damn game, a living breathing world that is dynamic and alive, and lately, this is not the case at all, it is a dead land with nothing to do in it.

Ability Cards; What's Your Recommendation For Defensive Solo Play?
lumper replied to KylesDad7's topic in Red Dead Online
The ones you mentioned are all good. These are subjective as people play differently so there is no hard fast rule. What I found was a few cards like The unblinking eye and never without one, used to be opretty solid but have been buffed and nerfed to the point they dont make sense anymore, at least for me and my play style, others have taken their place. My current build is pve and free roam ready, it is set up in case I am unexpectedly attacked I can survive the initial attack and then have time to fight back or run, other times I may change it up if I am going to clear hideouts or play pvp. I have a few builds I use for defensive modes, one is a tank build, you are nearly indestructible except for dynamite. Slow and Steady Iron lung fool me once Peak condition Is one build, but below are also good cards that can compliment some of these, like Iron lung and Peak condition go well together as both depend on your stamina level. And eye for an eye and gift of focus are also good cards for dead eye restoration. Some depend on your killing others while others are passive and reward you regardless of your actions, so if you are in pvp where you will be getting lots of kills then tweaking them a bit is in order. I used the rewards from this club membership to unlock and level up a few cards I never used before so I can try them all, all that are relevant to how I play anyway. Whatever you do, level them up to tier 3 for best results Kick in the butt, Live for the fight, strange medicine, peak condition, and eye for an eye, winning streak, come back stronger, and gunslingers choice are all good cards as well and can be swapped out. -
Well, they constantly nerf and buff weapons, so this can change, but for bloom the Lancaster is better or at least used to be, the Litchfield I think is more powerful in stats? but the bloom and other attributes make the Lancaster a more effective weapon, at least that was how it was when I playing pvp and used to try to figure out the best weapons for fast paced close combat. The best rule of thumb is whatever weapon you feel more comfortable with and have more confidence with is what you should be using, and I say try them all. I have them all and I do like the Litchfield, I find myself using the Lancaster the most though, sometimes I use the Evens for the 24 round capacity but usually the Lancaster. Also, try the varmit rifle for headshots believe it or not it works great!! experiment as much as you can.

This is my thinking as well. I have been around for a while, and I am at level 335 or something, there is never anything to reward high level players. all these rewards are useless if you already purchased everything in the game, discounts on coats and vests? wtf is that? I get that they are focusing on new players and making it attractive for new players to get into the game and not feel overwhelmed because there are players at over level 100 all over the map, but still we should be given things that you can not get until you hit level 100 so we have some kind of bragging rights, something others can only aspire to get too while we get to parade around with them as a reward to our commitment to this game. Even cosmetic items like special bandoleers that have tiers, 1, 2, and 3, each holds more ammo than the others and all carry more ammo than a player who hasnt gotten one yet, or outfits, maybe a special horse at every 100th level, so 100, 200, 300, 400,, etc.. and the only way to get it is to hit that milestone, just something for the high level players only. This would serve to encourage players to grind, no other way to get these benefits, and same with rewards, if you offer a discount for a hunting wagon, and I bought one 80 levels ago, then give me a rebate, if you offer 50% off, then send me 50% of what I paid for it, why should I miss out on the savings because I worked harder and played longer than others? Anyway I do think they should acknowledge us in some way, Im tired of earning rewards I cant use.
-
I found this to be true regardless of the event. For a long time I used to say to players who griefed, just go play pvp or one off he modes where you are expected to shoot it up if thats your thing, and well, looks like they did, lol. I dont bother with any events or pvp anymore, its not fun, just stressful. IMO.

I bought them both. They seem to me to be a combination of all three other role horses. You get the temperment of the Breton, the speed of the Criollo and the size of the Kladruber. The only thing I dont love about them are the coats. I love the Klad and Breton coats for the level 10 and level 20 horses, but the Roadsters are meh at best. I do like the level 5 and 10 coats, but I didnt buy either as my stables are nearly full, I had to get rid of my Criollo to buy the second Roadster, and I did that because I never use the Criollo, I dont like it, it is too small and I dont care about the extra speed vs the size and the coat. Anyway, thats my take. so far the Roadster has been great, I have one to level 4 bonding and the other level 3. They are great for hunting, fighting, etc... At level 1 and 2 they will buck you off in a fight or if they run across a gator or snake, but once you get to level 4 they are much better.

**Animal Spawn Issue Discussion** (Since Summer and Recent Updates)
lumper replied to Jimblob's topic in Troubleshooting
So yesterday two different times, after being in the game for hours with no animals and struggling to feed Cripps, and keep the moonshiner role going, etc.. I left the game and later came back, upon arriving at my camp, I saw a herd of Pronghorn, I was able to get 4 or 5 of them, and turn them all in to Cripps, as I was doing that I saw tons of other animals and I thought, hmm wtf? Then I checked the player list, and there were only 8 people on the server, I thought, hmm thats great, let me do all my hunting and daily challenges that require animals now while I have this chance. So, after a while I checked again and now it was me and two others in the game, and a little while after that, it was just me. I went to my moonshine shack in the swamp and for the first time, there were flocks of spoonbills, gators everywhere, wild boars, etc.. it was awesome!! I had to leave the game for a bit and once I came back a few hours later, same exact thing happened again. Im not sure why it happened but I was very happy it did, as I was able to fill Cripps two or three times, do two 100 item deliveries for the $500, ( even though I had an empty server I didnt bother with the long distance delivery) and in general I was able to take care of animal related things I had not been able to for several days prior, so this was a great surprise. I think maybe it has something to do with the servers being updated for the holiday themed items we all woke up to today, but that is just a guess. The world seems so alive and dynamic when there are fewer than 10 players in it, you have hideouts pop up everywhere, animals everywhere, dynamic events like ambushes and strangers etc.. all over the map, everything works really well the only difference is other players, and I dont mind. I almost never see other players anyway I play alone and have very few interactions, so to me the world is dead and depressing when we have 23 on a server and you cant find a sparrow or a gator or anything alive anywhere and you need them for challenges. Anyway I was very happy to have that happen twice recently and it really helped me finish the moonshiner role, even though that still bugged out when I went to deliver a 246$ delivery, it hung on a black screen and I had to restart, but this time when I got back in the game, it let me start where I left off and the 20/20 was waiting for me and I was able to make the delivery, usually when that happens I lose the goods, but this time they were still there, and that was what it took to hit level 20. Obviously they have a lot to work out yet, but to me it is pretty simple for now anyway, limit servers to 12 people and everyone will have a dynamic experience, when you have 20 or more it never seems to work. -
Funny, last night as I was finishing the moonshiner role, I went to the gunsmith to make sure I didnt miss out on anything and to check out the new wraps, while there I saw the variant of the shotgun that remains locked, and that was a tip off that we have some content on the way, possibly for Xmas, then this morning I see all the tree's and lights, very cool. I hope in time they do things like a short mission series for various events like the holidays for example. Cool pics, the game keeps getting better and better. The new role cost me $15,000.00 and 100 gold bars all told, I am done with both the club membership and the role and after purchasing a ton of stuff I didnt need, this is the end result, so now that I have it working, sort of, in time I will earn it back. What I really like is there are now 18 daily challenge opportunities, so a chance at 9 bars a day just from those and then of course all the other ways to get gold, it seems like it wont be very long at all to get the 100 gold bars back, seeing we probably wont see another role before March, I am sure by then I will have 300 gold and $40,000.00 waiting for the next role.
-
Yep, so use what you enjoy and what makes you happy for sure. Last night I hit level 20 in the moonshiner and I bought both the level 20 horses from that role, I am really liking them, mostly because of their coats and height. One looks great with my Panther saddle and the other looks amazing with the Rattlesnake skin saddle. both seem great so far, I cant wait to see how they are at level 4 bonding.

Yes the site is very active with a solid base of players who have been here from day 1, go ahead and post away.
-
Yes, solo. Yeah this is super frustrating as I want to hit level 20 and I just cant get past 15. Same So this seems pretty wide spread as far as animals go, I find if you can get to a server with 12 or fewer players, animals are everywhere, but more than 12, upwards of 18 and forget it, none, anywhere. To me this is one of the biggest problems, without animals to hunt you can complete some daily challenges and you cant run your trader business. If you want a sort of work around here is what I did. I went to Colter, found a few Elk, Deer, Rams, etc.. called in a wagon, filled it then sent it away, got my horse back and got one more plus any pelts I could find, doing this I Was able to load up Cripps to the full point, then he made me a batch so it did work, but only once a session, after I went back to Colter, it was as empty as the rest of the map, but I did get enough to fill my trader meter once.

Im using the Noco today with my MFT as well, I prefer my Breton but I like to change it up from time to time, the fun part of owning max number of horses and saddles.

Please Add these 2 Hats in the next RDO Outlaw pass
lumper replied to Gabe02's question in Questions & Answers
Ive had both of those at times by taking them off NPC's, but they have added a variant of each of those in the current line up, they may not be exactly the same but they are very close. -
I think in part you have a god point, there should be some consequences for committing crimes, stopping you is part of the game and that makes it dynamic, but as in the story mode or other online interactions with npcs if there is a single witnesses that can get to help then the bounty system should kick in or something similar. I play solo myself so I never try to run long distance deliveries, I need the $500 and dont want to risk it, I have tried them, and I enjoy the action, but I cant sustain the losses in a world where it is so hard to find groups of easily hunted animals, they are too precious to risk for an additional $150 IMO. If you are running solo consider shorter runs so people dont mess with you. I like the idea of a $20 instant bounty for attempted robbery so that players around you have motivation to get involved and not necessarily to steal from you but rather to catch or kill the wanted posse or player, that might be interesting.

For fun, what's your horse's name/names?
lumper replied to Major Dammidge's question in Questions & Answers
Breton Ned Breton Gus Breton Silver Missouri Fox Trotter Roy Missouri Fox Trotter Monty Turkoman T.J. Kladruber 10 Hank Kladruber 10 Ranger Kladruber 20 Mel Criollo Milo I havent gotten the new horse yet, Ill have one level 20 one this week though and lose one of these to fit him in the stable. -
Sadly your best bet is just wait til you can buy it then deal with it. yeah you may have to wait a bit while it downloads but look at it like this, you are waiting all this time anyway, whats one more day or so at that point? At least you can just order it, set it up to download then forget it for a while, do it when you sleep or go to work, etc.. Anyway thats just my advice, I wouldnt stress over getting it early to save time, I get it, you want to play it as soon as possible, but really once you set it up and start playing all that wont matter, the anticipation can be good. I would study videos on game play, techniques, bugs, secret missions, little known things, this game packs an unreal amout of content into it, now you have a year of videos that can be super helpful to watch while you wait for the game. Also, I dont know what you plan to buy, but my advice is buy the special or limited edition they each come with extra content, I wasnt able to get the pre order so I missed out on one mission and a little gold, and one trasure, but I did get a really cool Thoroughbred dapple coat to start the game with and a few other perks and I loved having the extra content, I just wish I had known to get the pre order. anyway my advice is buy the most complete version you can that offers the most extra content, you only buy ti once and at that point the extra $20 or $30 is well worth it IMO anyway. Good luck man, the time will fly by and before you know it you will be in here posting about stuff you are doing in game.

You probably already know this but you can check the stats of the saddles, and then remember you will add stirrups and that will make them even better. But you can comapre saddles tats to give you an idea of what to expect, the Nocolches is the one to match or beat, it is simply the best as far as stamina drain is concerned, you can run forever without losing stamina, But if you dont love the look some other pretty solid options are: If you are planning on doing a lot of running around the map and missions, then use the Noco, or try it anyway, then try your favorite looking saddle and se what the different in your game play is like so you can decide how important it is for you to have the very best in stamina drain. The new one for the moonshiner role is really good, again, if you like the look it is hit or miss, but I tried it with the best stirrups and it was really good. My old favorite was the Panther one, it is very good, as is the beaver roping and rattlesnake one too, all need the best stirrups and you still need to praise the horse as you ride hard for long distances, but they are of the top saddles. The Black and gold one that came with the bounty hunter role I forget the name, is also pretty good, I use it a lot on a few of my horses just because with my outfit and horse it looks amazing, it isnt as good as the Noco but it isnt a problem either. all you have to do is to praise the horse very so often to kind of refresh or sort of partially reset the stamina, on the Noco you basically dont even have to do that, but with these others you will have too here and there but its pretty simple and straight forward, I have many saddles I use them based on how they look on a given horse and what I am wearing, but lately I made a couple outfits that using the various Noco saddles look fine, I have 3 different ones, the blue, the red and the grey. DOnt be afraid to buy and try saddles, my advice is never spend gold on one if you can help it, use cash. Cash is very easy to come by in this game, use your trader and collector roles to make a lot of cash fast, you can make upwards of $4000 in a day if you apply yourself, and with the cash you can buy these saddles, most of them, I think tthe panther saddle is gold only and I think it is like 18 gold, but to me it was well worth it, I'm pretty sure there was no nocodolches saddle when I bought my panther saddle, and even though it is tan, I used it on my Grey Trotter because it was so good, but now things are different, there are a lot of great saddles.

So, the update has a lot of potential, but for me the past two days have been some of the worst since I started playing back in 3/2018 Moonshine sales missions hang on black screens forcing me to restart and then loosing all my moonshine that I paid to make and the 60 minutes it took to produce. But the larger problem is I cant run my trader business, I cant do daily challenges that require anything from animals like skin an egret or cook some seasoned venison. I played today for maybe 6 hours, I never saw a deer, or for that matter any living thing, I rode from Strawberry to Colter, never found a deer, or anything. Eventually I went to Colter later on in a wagon I did find 2 elk, and in the swamp I eventually found 2 gators in a river I had to shot them in the water and then go in the river to skin them, but at least I found them, otherwise, I wasnt able to find anything else alive. I wrote to Rockstar to report it, but this has been this way for a while now, you just get good days here and there but many bad days, but today was the worst I have ever seen. It irritated me today because two of our daily challenges were very simple but if you cant find a deer or Egret you cant do them, and that cost me a bar of gold, so yeah, I am annoyed. I used to have a method to create a solo session that would sometimes last hours other times last 20 minutes but at least it gave me a few minutes of animals to hunt, but now, no matter what I try I can not get the game to spawn any animals. does anyone here have any ideas, work arounds, tricks I am not aware of? Anyone else experiencing this?

Fast Travel At Camp ... Is It Worth It?
lumper replied to EaglesLanding's question in Questions & Answers
It has never happened to me yet I am level 303. I rarely get disconnected though, and the few times I did I didnt have much if anything on my horse. I dont usually carry that many pelts but I did in a couple scenarios. Normally I hunt for daily challenges, so in doing that I skin everything after I get a 3 star carcass and then I go turn it all in. The wagon just takes time, cant access everywhere I can on my horse, can be an issue in certain locations, etc.. it just isnt for me. To each his own. -
Thanks for the reply. Yes, Stadia is having some launch issues although for many it is working very well. My issue with it is that it doesnt offer what I was hoping it might. I was oping to hear they were using a version of the game that would be 4k/60 native similar to the X1X but with the same or even better graphics settings, so that you would be able to have the best image quality in native 4k and have it at 60 fps as opposed to 30 fps on X1X. the fact is the game is being played at 1080 up-scaled to 4k and doesnt look as good as the X1X. Since the pc launch I was looking for a way to experience the game @ 4k/60fps with equal or higher settings that I get now. So looking ahead short of building a very powerful and expensive gaming rig, my only other option is to wait for the next gen consoles to come out and see if they can run the game at 4k/60 with equal or better settings. My game looks amazing as does everyones, I play it on a 70" 4k screen no hdr, my next tv will be a 65 - 77" 4k hdr with bandwidth to handle 4k/60 and above, potentially 120 hz or fps when that arrives. But I was looking to see if I could improve on it, or if I could run it at 60 fps maybe the slow downs in St Denis, Valentine, and a few other spots would be reduced to levels that wouldnt be so apparent, I really hate it when it bogs down to under 30 fps. I dont know for sure what it drops too but it seems to drop into the teens at times in those areas. The Stadia looks great for some, if you are on the go, like to play 1080 games, have multiple devices to play on, and dont have a current gen console or do but arent 100% happy with it, it can be great, I have seen many people enjoying it, its just not what I was looking for sadly, I had very high hopes.
