I think the game mode has potential. I played for a while and only had 4 member teams. It was so spread out I barely saw another player try to stop me from getting to the safe house. Maybe larger teams?

My son wouldn't see another game, computer, phone, or any other electronic device until he was 18 and or moved out.

I get so wrapped up in the game when I am playing. If I were a dog "SQUIRREL" (runs off chasing and forgot what I was saying)

Without getting too technical. Imagine you have a gallon of water to move to another gallon jug. In between the gallon jug is a container that is just a bit smaller than 1 gallon that must be moved to first. you could just pour the amount into the middle just under a gallon jug then pour that into the gallon jug. Then pour the rest into the middle jug then into the gallon jug. TCP packets can do just that. There would be an impact if you did the following as with the jug of water. Pour a cup of water out of the gallon jug then pour it into the middle jug. Then pour a cup of water out of the middle jug into the gallon jug. Repeat until all cups of water are in the last jug. The recommendation I made doesn't increase the number of packets by much if at all. The errors most people are getting point to network IP packet frame (Ping response times) issues. Not necessarily the PS or your network but maybe a bottleneck somewhere between your house and the servers location. As a side note to frame rate drops: Video resolution and cpu overload can cause game lag and video frame rate drops. A hot playstation or xbox can cause CPU to overheat and may cause frame rate drops. Video resolution could be altered to minimize CPU (GPU) overload. I hope that explains it a bit better. If not, let me know and I can send private message with more detail as to how it works.

Progress- Belt Buckles- What does pinning one of them do?
DNMNetTech replied to Steven Kreg's topic in Red Dead Online
Awards can be pinned to make it easier to check current progress. Once pinned, they will appear in the Log section of the Player menu -
I suppose, if I were a griefer, I would roam the forums looking for people on the edge of quitting and target them just to see if I could push them over the edge. instead, I look for people that seem like they would be fun to ride with.

The rest of us know how hard it was to get to lvl 188. I am only lvl 106 and know what a grind it was. Saving as much money and gold like a mizer until the past couple weeks. I now have a few of the things I was waiting for. The way gold and xp is going now, I may as well spend some money. Can't wait for more reasons to spend it.

I think Rockstar should fix the glitches. That being said, I will not let the cheaters impact my game. I will continue to grind to obtain the things I want in the game. Just because they cheat to get it doesn't impact my game. It isn't like they are getting a leg up on me by doing so.

What is the MTU max size on your router or playstation if you bypass NAT? if it is the default of 1500 lower it to 1476. This setting does not include the TCP header of 26K. Many routers will drop packets over 1500. Playstation and XBox do not use MTU setting as true MTU and set in the background for max TCP packet size which is 2 different settings. This may help.

That's a good down payment on the Braithwait Manner isn't it?

This is apparently a known issue that R* is aware of. I have to run into a stable every time I load out of a story, stranger missions or PVP.
-
Since R* is using Akamai content delivery servers for edge services, many of the issues may not be R* servers. R* servers deliver content to the edge servers so the users game play response times are faster than going directly to R* servers. This is supposed to make mission and online story loading faster, downloads and patches faster without putting to much pressure on the R* servers. I have noticed my disconnects are directly related to the Akamai server i Was connected to. Since my connection was connecting to different edge servers every time I load, it became apparent that not all connections would have the same disconnect. That is why I am able at times to play all night with no issues while other nights disconnects are a night mare.

I would caution the DMZ for your PS4 if you don't only allow specific IP and port from the outside in. If you follow some of the forums and R* recommendations there opens a whole lot of potential for a hack into your PS4 directly. NAT is designed for a reason. I have been a network engineer for over 25 years and would never follow that recommendation. Be careful and good luck.

I finally was able to complete the Low Honor missions this weekend. Wow! That's all I have to say about that.
-
Just as different as play styles of the players.
-
I have noticed since the latest update and being out of Beta there have been a lot of lower level players on the servers. Many under lvl 20. Few over lvl 30. I think many of the newer players may not really know what to do so they shoot. I have also found when you fight back they either run or instantly parley. I am not convinced they are intentionally griefing. I believe they just need to test their oats and see what the game is about and what is acceptable. I have also noticed this more during the earlier evening hours and they are younger kids. I play later as well and there isn't as much grief going on. Send the kids to bed and lets ride!

Both high and low honor end up doing the Destroyed by Grief. I messed up the list. The correct list is: Bring a Goddamn Posse: High HonorThe Hanging of Tom Davies: High HonorThese Bastards Can Fight: Low HonorBanks Don't Rob Themselves: Low HonorDestroyed by Grief: Negative: Low and High

Lemat revolver possible game crasher
DNMNetTech replied to BlackMagic's question in Questions & Answers
I get the error without the Lemat Revolver. I never even purchased it. Same with at least 2 other people I know that got the CE34878-0 crash. -
Classic Rock today. Slowly moving into Hard Rock this afternoon as I ramp up for the weekend and some RDR O this evening!!
-
Golden Retriever
-
Mine / Posse all had the Blue Screen CE34878-0 at the same time. I opened ticket as soon as it happened so they could have a time frame to look at as well.
-
Last night the entire posse of 4 got the Blue screen crash at the same time. I sent the information to R*.
-
I believe R* said the following were added: Bring a Goddamn Posse: High Honor The Hanging of Tom Davies: High Honor These Bastards Can Fight: High Honor Banks Don't Rob Themselves: Low Honor Destroyed by Grief: Negative: Low Honor More to come in the future.

We did a test of the defensive / offensive thing. I got shot and the other player turned red. A few minutes later they turned blue again. This is due to a cool down period for hostility. Not sure how long it actually was but not long. So, what if the hostility was higher? Would it take longer? I guess more playing with that will tell.
