  1. I'm hoping Rockstar won't release update after update where they add increasingly crazy vehicles, weapons and features like they did with GTA Online, I'm doubtful they'll take this route however after all the time they've spent developing realistic features and gameplay mechanics for Red Dead Redemption II so I think it's unlikely we'll be seeing aliens, zombies, flying horses etc in Red Dead Online. I am however hoping that there'll be two types of Freeroam, a Friendly Freeroam and a Normal Freeroam. If Rockstar decide to include another glorified version of God Mode in Red Dead Online like they did with GTA Online instead of different Freeroam types I'm gonna make sure to stay well clear of that shit show.
  2. It's designed maliciously to make you give up and buy a Shark Card but having said that, I personally didn't have much of a problem with the CEO/MC Work Alerts when it was cargo that could be stolen as I'm all for killing others for personal gain savage utopia style. My problem was that all CEO/MC Work apart from Hanger Cargo and Vehicle Cargo couldn't be stolen by other players, it only gave players the option to destroy Cargo so that's what everyone did and destroying Cargo was a lot easier than stealing it especially with all the military style vehicles Rockstar kept adding.
  3. I totally understand where your coming from, if I had to describe GTA Online in one word that word would be "Toxic". It's ironic to me because when you look back at GTA IV and RDR Multiplayer and how players on there behaved compared to GTA Online there's a significant difference, players on those games weren't always friendly but it was rare to see someone play with the sole purpose of trolling or griefing other players. You'd think GTA Online would have less griefers, trolls and tryhards with all the anti griefer features Rockstar included as a precaution such as Passive Mode but instead a lot of the features they included just ended up being abused by the very players they were designed to protect against. The main problem in my opinion was that they forced all players regardless of their play style to play together in the same lobbies, if they'd kept the Friendly Freeroams from their previous titles, scrapped Passive Mode, the Kill Yourself option and the KD ratio as well as layed off the incorporation of more and more military style vehicles and weapons we might of had far better online experience.
  4. Welcome Zhou, this forum is a far better way to make the time pass till Red Dead Redemption II then opium is.
  5. Cool idea dude, I wouldn't be surprised if Rockstar decided to incorporate something like this into Red Dead Online but I also wouldn't be surprised if they drop Red Dead Online with just the basic/standard game modes at first and something like this is added later as DLC similar to how they slowly added game modes to GTA Online. Including a game mode like this wouldn't be too difficult for Rockstar, they included a job in most towns in Red Dead Redemption where you broke wild horses for cash so making an online rodeo with a few extra activities wouldn't be such a stretch.
  6. I gotta disagree, Rockstar always strive to improve the overall quality of their games but GTA V's physics were definitely a downgrade from their previous titles such as GTA IV and RDR. That's why one of my major concerns before seeing this gameplay video was whether the physics would be on par with Red Dead Redemption and from what I've seen so far they look to be as good as if not better than in Red Dead Redemption.
  7. Yeah, 5 hours and 40 minutes now.
  8. I haven't watched Miami Vice for near 11 years but I remember this character and how his actions and body language just exuded cold professionalism and efficiency but I never noticed how fast he was in this scene, I also loved the score that proceeded his kills whenever he slipped away.
  9. I'm hoping to see the ragdoll and how it compares to Red Dead Redemption as well as whether we'll be able to crouch, change shoulders, use boats, customize our weapons etc. Pretty boring stuff I know but it's all I can think of off the top of our head.
  10. I remember coming across videos of Bob Munden in quickdraw competitions. It honestly blew my mind the first time I saw him shoot, he not only shot with insane speed but with exceptional accuracy. I later watched interviews with him and it's fair to say that modesty was something he'd never heard of but you can afford to be a bit big-headed when your one of the best there is at what you do.
  11. You were able to fan the hammer in Red Dead Redemption but your character only did it when using Dead Eye so my guess is that it'll work the same way in Red Dead Redemption II, you can also see Arthur fan the hammer during a duel in trailer 3. The engraved Schofield looks cool as well, this artwork is most likely of Dutch judging by the engraving on the gun and the rings we've already seen him wear in screenshots and trailers.
  12. Exactly, I've been saying this for years and it's almost like the multiplayer games being released these days are being made by people who have never held a controller or played online. I'm hoping this is a major concern for Rockstar and something they will try to perfect both before and after the launch of Red Dead Online, it's a major worry for me as Rockstar obviously didn't give the playstyle of trolls, griefers or tryhards a second thought when developing GTA Online otherwise they wouldn't of decided to include Passive Mode, infinite explosives or a Kill Yourself option.
  13. Yeah but we only see Jack up until 1914 when he is around 18 - 19 years old.
  14. Depends if this particular feature that has been confirmed for Singleplayer will crossover into Red Dead Online, I'm personally hoping it does as it would definitely make you count your lucky stars anytime another player shoots your hat off during a gunfight. It would also just be a fun way to mess with people.
  15. The IGN Preview discussion pertains to Singleplayer only, they didn't get to see Red Dead Online or receive any information about what features will crossover to Online.
  16. Yeah, with Jack being around four I don't think he'll be as insufferable as he was in Red Dead Redemption. Give him a break though, although we don't see much of Jack's future develop I would hope he's not still trying to be an Old West cowboy in 1923.
  17. I personally don't need much from a multiplayer Freeroam to keep me entertained, just sharp, clean gameplay and some friends to ride with. This game is not gonna sell anywhere near as many copies as GTA V and that's because it's a Western game and is not gonna be everyone's cup of tea so Rockstar shouldn't feel the need to make it appeal to everyone who plays GTA Online. Rockstar could do a ton of things to make the game exciting without messing up the balance of the multiplayer. They could implement Freemode Events like in GTA Online but with a Western twist, they could give players the freedom to not only buy goods from NPCs but sell goods to NPCs or they could expand on GTA Online's Bounty system and make it more engaging.
  18. Yeah, the woman looks around 22 but I don't it's Abigail. She looks and sounds very different, even her dialogue doesn't sound like something Abigail would say.
  19. I myself am more concerned about whether Red Dead Online will live up to Red Dead Redemption's Multiplayer or not, GTA Online has some really engaging features like owning property and extended character customization but overall I found GTA Online to be a stunningly beautiful but broken game. There's a serious lack of skill based PVP in GTA Online, it's non existent in Freeroam. It doesn't even feel like Grand Theft Auto anymore, everyone has the armaments of a small country so it's more like a third person Battlefield game these days which means new players don't even have a chance. I think there are some great features they could bring over from GTA Online but I'd much prefer they made balancing in Red Dead Online their first priority and therefore leave out GTA Online's God Mode and abysmal PVP combat.
  20. According to her grave, Abigail was born 1877 meaning she'll be 22 in 1899 and was around 34 years old during Red Dead Redemption. Of course, she may of lied about her age although lying to your own son about such a thing seems extreme but I guess it's possible. Many of the women in my family deal with age very differently to the men, I have an aunt who has just turned 39 seven times.
  21. The blonde woman featured in the trailers is not Heidi McCourt. This woman has already been confirmed to be a new character by the previews a few months back, it was also confirmed that her name is in fact Sadie Adler.
  22. There's gonna be various characters returning from Red Dead Redemption for sure and I would love for some characters from Red Dead Revolver to return as well, seen as Red Harlow, Jack Swift and General Diego are all referenced in Red Dead Redemption during campfire segments as well as the location of Twin Rocks being featured in game I would not be surprised if we at least got some more Easter Eggs and references to Red Dead Revolver in Red Dead Redemption II.
  23. I agree that camping should not be actively removed from the game, at least not in Freeroam as although it can be annoying it doesn't affect the game all that much in my opinion. I don't agree with adding more explosives though, explosives always have more negatives than positives. Look at GTA Online, guns are useless and unused thanks to explosives.
  24. I like the idea of companions, Rockstar could definitely make it work. LOL, for me it would be Pianomen all the way.
  25. Sorry to break it to you dude but although the character of Scarface was based on Al Capone who was a real mobster, the scenarios depicted in the film and it's remake weren't based on real life or historical events. Also, you drew comparisons between the final mission of GTA Vice City and Scarface (1983) then preceded to show gameplay of Scarface: The World Is Yours which is an open world Scarface game released in 2006. If you made this as a troll video to make people laugh then good job, if not then maybe you should do some research first next time.
