In my experience on the Xbox One, I have noticed that there are less of them as you get further away from the swamps. I remember that I use to find a lot of them around the grass next to bridge that leads into St. Denis, but now they only seem to spawn in decent numbers in the swamp lands. Somtimes I don't find many, but I ride back to the swamps later and there they are. Personnally, I would be riding between the swamps (Lagras and Lakay) to just above Rhodes and then down to Braithwaite Manor. This will get all your hunting for Deers, Boars, Alligators, Turkeys, etc. While doing this, also hit up the Tammy and Black Belle missions. Don't forget to sell your loot from those missions to the Fence after selling to the Butcher.

I'm guessing about a week. I would reply, then have to wait several day's for a reply. If they get the game fixed and I can run it on my gaming laptop, I would consider purchasing it a second time!. I don't like taking this road, but with so many of these company's releasing games that are playable on consoles with their bugs on release date, only to release a PC port with bugs that are completely unplayable, is not fair to the consumers. To be honest, it is one of the things that has left a sour taste in my mouth in regards to PC gaming, and is why I still prefer console gaming. In any event, I feel bad about having to be like this towards RockStar games, but I have to be tuff with them because I love the work they do and the games they produce so much. I am so sorry to hear this. I think your best bet at this point is to try and get the refund from your bank or credit card company.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Microsoft has the Xbox 360 Red Dead Redemption game on sale in their marketplace store. I've been waiting awhile to buy this game since it is compatible with the Xbox One, but it is always around $30.00 USD. Today I purchased it for $9.89 USD not to include tax. I belive it might cost a few dollars more if you don't have Xbox Gold. I think the Undead DLC is a seperate purchase around the same price, but I'm not sure. I would like to try it out in the future. Happy Black Friday shopping everyone. Feel free to tell us about all your new toys and items in this forum.

I was just going to suggest submitting a ticket. That's how I went about getting my refund.

What could the reason be behind waiting to release the game on Steam?
Vendetta replied to Coyote's topic in Red Dead Online
Sorry for the delay. Yes I did get the refund. I think I will wait until they have all the issues worked out then I will buy it on Steam. Until then, I'm having a great time with the game on Xbox One. Just purchased 150 Gold Bars today. I'm currently ranked in mid to high 20's. -

What could the reason be behind waiting to release the game on Steam?

Update on the refund process. I haven't heard anything back from my first request, so I submitted a second ticket. It is completely unacceptable that developers when it comes to PC, release games that are ported so badly to the point that they are unplayable and expect us to just allow them to keep our money while we wait for them to fix it. Not me. I had another issue with a seperate game that had issues that took away from an enjoyable experience and requested a refund which I received. Purchased that same game on my Xbox and atleast now I can play the game. I'll keep everyone in the loop of the refund outcome. So far, nothing yet. -

Don't know, but I'm about to request a refund. Depending on how they handle my request, will be the deciding factor for if I will purchase any of their games in the future. -
I treid changing the API to DirectX 12 and still the problem continues. My issue is the game is freezing during cutscenes. My drivers are up to date, the NVIDIA Geforce software optimized my settings for the game to all low settings. No reason that I can think of on my end as to why this should be happening. My gaming laptop is running a Intel i5-7300HQ, 16GB of RAM, and a GTX 1050 TI 4GB. Before I go through the process of requesting a refund, can anyone think of anything that might help?
-
The game is not optimized properly for PC, is my best guess. Nothing much that we can do. I for one am getting to point of demanding a refund. I didn't pre-order this game so that I couldn't play it on release day.

One forum member here suggested that the problem was with anti-virus software. For me, that solved my launch issues.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Quiting During Launch Screen
Vendetta replied to Vendetta's topic in Red Dead Online
Update: In another posting, a forum member recommended making changes in my anti-virus software by giving Red Dead Redemption 2 an exclusion. I have never done this before with any of my games. In any event, it worked. So if your having the problem that I was having, give this a try. Now that I can get the game running, here's a new problem that I'm having, omptimazation. The game shutters or bottlenecks. Even when using the NVIDIA software to fine tune my settings, which defaults everything to the lowest settings, still the problem continues. I understand that even users with RTX are having issues. Until they correct the omptimazation in this game, any tips? My gaming laptop has an i5 with a GTX 1050 TI 4GB. -
Red Dead Redemption 2 Quiting During Launch Screen
Vendetta replied to Vendetta's topic in Red Dead Online
Nope, everything is updated on my end. -
Is anyone else experiencing issues with Red Dead Redemption 2 quiting on the launch screen? My NVIDIA drivers are up to date and I have contacted RockStar games with the message below: To Whom It May Concern I pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC and everytime I attempt to launch the game, it closes before the loading screen can finish with the message, “Red Dead Redemption 2 exited unexpectedly.” All of my NVIDIA drivers are up to date. This is unexceptable. I've waited a long time for the launch of this game and I have given you people, alot of my money over the year's, both on console and PC. If you can not fix this issue before my patience runs out, you can refund my money.

Thank you for the suggestions. With Black Friday coming soon, I should be able to get some good deals on more expensive parts.

Now that my Ryzen 5 2600 CPU has arrived yesterday, I've been thinking more and more about the direction that I want to go in terms of the motherboard that I will build on, and the case that will house my system. I'm going with either a Micro ATX, or Mini ITX motherboard. I'm strongly considering the Mini ITX motherboards at the moment. When it comes to cases, these two posted below are calling me!. The first one is the PAEAN M Open Frame M-ATX Chassis that ranges in price from $99.00 USD to $160.00 USD. The second and more expensive option is the Antec STRIKER Aluminum and Steel ITX case for $250.00 USD. I'm just starting to research Mini ITX motherboards and if I do go with a Mini ITX gaming motherboard, I want a wifi gaming motherboard that supports 32GB of RAM.

I went with the Ryzen 5 2600. I got a good deal on it at Newegg and I’m suppose to get 3 months of Xbox Game Pass free.

Who's having a Red Dead Online gaming marathon?
Vendetta replied to Vendetta's topic in Red Dead Online
It went good. Made a lot of progress. My character is still new so I want to rank up and build up my in game money before RockStar games comes out with a big update. -
You can definitely mod online, there’s no question about that. There’s seems to a lot of people modding in GTA Online.
-
Update: as of today, I can confirm that you can pre-load Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC. I’m currently installing the game. FYI, it is over 100GB.
-
I'm reading that we can preload Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC as of right now. I didn't have that option as of last week. Has anyone been able to preload on PC yet?
-
I know when I pre-ordered a week ago, it allowed me to select two games. I would contact RockStar games.

Are there any Console vs PC screenshot comparisons yet?
Vendetta replied to shiverz's topic in Red Dead Online
Good question. Well comparing the base launch model, PlayStation was the clear winner with the more powerful hardware. Comparing the PlayStation 4 Pro to the Xbox One X, the Xbox One X is the clear winner in terms of hardware. Both are great consoles and anyone who likes console gaming should own both. Let's talk about exclusives, I don't like it. If you love video gaming, you should not like exclusives. It is anti-consumer and everyone should have the option to play the games they want, regardless of the platform they choose. -
It seem's that some people are reporting weird experiences in Red Dead Online with Zombies. I'm going to continue searching for this while playing the game as normal today. No joy finding Zombies yesterday. This information is about a month old, but has anyone found zombies? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZN23XZTTl4

I haven't heard anything. I think these's deals are more just so RockStar Games can pull as many people to their launcher as possible. Hopefully, RockStar will give Steam user's some free perks as well.
