PC [steam] player since Dec 26 & thanx to furlough & lockdown I'm playing between 3 + 4 hours a day these days, currently;- Lvl 261 79 Tokens 629 Gold Bars 82K $ All 4 roles are maxxed, so now I generally concentrate on Daily Challenges but I ignore, fishing, posse, showdown & most Bounty Hunter dailies & have a 114 day run on challenges "Jim Deacon" lives on Minty Big Game, chocolate, cigars & Tennessee Whisky & has just reverted back to his first bought horse which is the black American Standardbred [with a Nagodoches], she's called Beauty [horses live on Wild Carrots & his whole stable is Mares] as I wanted him on a black horse but that colour is limited with the endgame horses [& the Kladruber is such an ugly horse], so I've stabled my Criollo for a while until I need that highspeed again! Loves - Thunderstorms - Night in the desert Hates - Camp glitches!!

This happened to me yesterday - go though every tab & then back to the "last" tab which should then re-set to Wagon Contents Good Luck

I've had this happen to me one day for every skin I took vanishing, sometimes immediately I took it, other times in mid air as I tried to load it to my horse [since bought a wagon] I was convinced it was a player hack but maybe it's just a bug as it's not happened since & this was a few weeks ago - it lasted for a few hours so I ended up switching off - never happened since.

I don't do much PvP as I'm usually a solo player & I've not suffered much [any] in the way of "true" griefing so my Ability set-up is designed to help me explore & collect as I focus on completing Daily Challenges & gathering full sets to sell for $$ so my loadout is:- A Moment To Recuperate 3 Come Back Stronger 3 Sharpshooter 3 The Unblinking Eye 3 I've been considering changing some cards out to maximise horseback damage/accuracy & took advantage of the card sale & free card they offered us to pick ip a couple of new ones but haven't put much playtime into building them up so that hasn't happened yet

I play on PC thru STEAM & this happens to me quite often [along with the vanishing camp & moving camp bugs] the only fix that ever works is logging off, completely closing RDR2O & STEAM & re-starting everything again. This seems to fix both the vanished Moonshine Shack & also the "failure" to enter the Moonshine Shack door bug, which also disables every other in-game action for me - I have now got into the habit of selling any carcasses or skins on my horse if the CAMP is not available [despite showing on map & allowing fast travel] before attempting to access the Moonshine Shack due to the bug that disables all controls! Although once I get the CAMP bug I generally go to nearest butcher & sell any skins & carcasses then log off/re-start as my reasoning suggests that if CAMP is bugged then everything is bugged. I still play for a few hours each day though, but the CAMP & Moonshine Shack bugs are 2 of the biggest game breakers for me.

I started with Collector as I had the Bag free from connecting my accounts & for me its still the 1 that pays out most often both in $ & in XP as the sets sell well & you can sell extra items after you decide what "cap" you are setting for yourself - I don't hold more than x3 of an item [except Alcohol] although you can hold 10 so I sell extras down to 3 Bounty Hunter still glitches for me quite often [especially completing "dailies"] but once you get through levelling up it's just doing dailies for the Gold reward IMO Once you have all 4 "jobs" maxxed you can spend 2 - 4 hours a day just completing the dailies [ 3 per trade] for a decent 6 Gold bars a day plus any you can make from the non-trade dailies - some of which are very easy like "pet a dog" or "visit a store in a certain town" - even "eat 3 x camp stews" Personally I would still start with Collector others may disagree although Bounty Hunter gives 0.16 - 0.24 Gold pieces per completion I still think its better to go Collector Good luck

I'm having a "new to me" problem these passed 2 days - on PC when I ALT- tab from the game to a webpage [map or youtube] when I TAB back all I get is a black screen in the game screen - I can hear the game & it is responding to certain buttons [ESC for example] but I'm unable to play or close the game using the STOP button in Steam - I have to TASK manager close it down & restart - this is new to me is/has anyone else experienced this?

I've moved mine down to the Bayou site & prices are $206/$226 & $247 for the buyers - I've started leaving completed brews until the buyers refresh so I don't only get the 1 standby buyer & his low price - you might have more success down there - plus the roads aren't quite as hectic so with the "aiming autodrive" I can usually arrive with a decent 18/19 bottles intact

Yeah I do both depending on Jims outfit:- When you are putting items like shirts & trousers on, check the bottom right of the screen for a MODIFY option - this allows you to tweak boots & shirt sleeves & collars - this is the same in campaign & Online Gunfighter - Shirtsleeves rolled up & Vest no coat, Boots under Trousers with spurs The Van Cleef outfit - likewise, boots with spurs under trousers - Coat & Vest on Hunter & Cowpoke outfits - boots outside trousers ready for sloshing through blood, snot, rivers & innards

You Sir, are an absolute hero - I'd been fence sitting as it was close to the Pass expiring & had amassed 65 Gold bars & a few levels so was unsure if I would effectively "miss out" on rewards but after reading that they unlocked after activation I bought in & not only did I get vouchers that gave me the 40 Gold bars back but a lot of collectibles that gave me close to 6 full sets to turn in - with a few hours collecting yesterday to complete the 6 sets! Free Husky, 5 treasure maps, a ton of ammo & ingredients & a fistful of free fast travel amongst other thinks makes the whole purchase worthwhile, especially as the Gold bars came from general play [Bounties, Stranger missions & Daily Challenges] Oh & my Bounty Hunter outfit is now rocking Arthurs hat too! It would be really nice to have them show on a waistcoat but I'd really like to be able to use it when on horseback - we can deploy a metal detector but not a watch - really!!

OK so 1 of todays challenges for my fledgling Bounty Hunter is to bring in a Bounty & so far I have "taken" a Bounty from the "walls" in:- Tumbleweed Armadillo Rhodes Valentine & NOTHING happens - no instruction to go anywhere, nothing highlighted on the map, stumped! Is anyone else getting this - Jim's only level 2 1/2 BH so I can only choose the low level bounties & it seems weird that nothing triggers Any clues, anyone? EDIT : OK so after a couple hours of connectivity problems I re-logged on & went to Tumbleweed & Bounty posters worked - perhaps it was something to do with connectivity problems who knows but it seems to have solved itself

So I changed nothing, verified nothing, deleted nothing but re-connected about 3 hours later & have played with a solid connection for the past 2 hours - whatever it was it was nothing to do with me Hopefully you are having better luck now

I've been getting this for the past hour or so [since trying to re-log in after a good exit about 6PM] It even says I'm logged in to Social Club etc - can see my steam connection & everything - whatever it is I think its at R*'s end & not ours - fyi UK PC player if that helps. Been playing for about 5 hours today, with a few good exits to create solid save points. I'm about to give up for the day after trying for the last hour-plus to get it working again Good Luck

Hi everyone & thanx for sharing your experiences & helping me chillax after yesterdays fraught day of wasted hours! So to report, today I've managed about 3 1/2 hours play after work & guess what? That's right, not ONE disconnect all the time - I was able to get back into my hunt/challenge/join mission cycle & had another blast playing! So we'll see how things go from here on Thanx again

hi @pluck3 many thanx for taking the time to reply to my general whinge about todays' hugely frustrating attempts to play I had considered it would be "at my end" as an internet search hadn't really brought up much in the way of many other people suffering as I have today but the wife did report that facebook is quite busy with people having suffered inordinately over the last 4 days [did they roll an update out about that time?] So of course I've done system re-starts & run a few general checks on my system & have also put a few hours into other games [Division2, Neverwinter & Fallout76] & haven't had anything "odd" occur with those - it's mainly because the game has been soooo stable for me for the last 45 hours that today was so frustrating & it would be a real shame if it continued this way as the game is amazing [& has weaned me off almost 400 days on Fallout76!!] Just needed to get it out I suppose as it really has ruined my day & my gametime for today

So my son bought me RDR2 for Xmas & I started playing SP Campaign on Boxing Day - put 150 hours into Arthur's tale, laughed, raged, cried [yeah I'm not ashamed to admit that] & also 1 of my horses died - well 2 technically thanx to crap parking & an oncoming train Then I put almost 25 hours into John's endgame, did his quests, visited the gravesites & took some pix then did Homestead Simulator 1.0 for a few hours so capped out the SP at somewhere around 175 hours. Decided it was then time to start RDR:O & binged played the whole of last weekend - starting on Saturday 19th - spent a few hours each day after work last week & plumped for £20 worth of Gold Bars to get "Jim Deacon" looking like the Cowpoke I had in my mind [spent it all in 1 shopping extravaganza in my homage to Lee Van Cleef] - spent my gametime doing the story missions upto the 1st few Gunslinger missions & the rest of the time between missions doing hunting & daily challenges, started the Collector path yesterday with a good 8 hour game session & all in all I have had very few complaints, the odd disconnect [crash] & occasionally travelling to a Stranger to be told "nothing available" but all in all a very enjoyable [& profitable] experience so far [made almost 15 GB from missions & until I bought a saddle I had hit $1000 last night - then spent it down to about $400 buying the saddle] So a month to the day, that's today Sunday 26th January & I am at the point of having to put it all away as the crashes I have encountered today have been unbelieveable - I started "playing" around 08.00 this morning [was up early] stopped about 11.30 to do some RL shopping - came back about 12.30 & eventually gave up about 16.00 - crashes OMG like every 10 minutes with no obvious trigger - so many wasted pelts today - I would say on average crashing every 10 - 15 minutes of gameplay with the occasional failure to even re-connect after a full closedown & reboot of Steam, I've even had to give up joining Story missions as the 1st 1 crashed as we were riding back to Manzanita [I think 1 of the team must have filed against me as when I reconnected it gave me a "Griefing" penalty & kept me in offensive mode until some kind player executed me from somewhere with a Carcano rifle] - yet that was the only gameplay I had had so far & from then on it just got worse - totally unplayable - really disappointed as I had been loving it so far & have put in almost 45 hours online play - had to give up on Daily Challenges for looting enemies, as that's usually no problem for me, although I did eventually manage to pick Mushrooms, pluck Vultures [it lost 2 though so technically I had to do 5] & visit 2 shops TL:DR - TOTALLY unplayable today due to disconnects/crashing every 10 minutes - attempted to play for over 6 hours [45 hours on the clock - 175 hours on the SP clock]
