  1. OK so 1 day with no neckwear [& I totally agree, all my outfits look odd without the various neck items] & all my outfits were there both in saved & on mount - will monitor & report Cheers
  2. OK - sounds possible then - although I have only had bog-standard responses to my ticket - you would think they have highlighted the neckwear issue back to me if it was in the list of responses to problems I will re-create my 7 missing outfits today without the applicable bandanas/neckties etc & see what happens over the next few days Thanx
  3. Seriously? My character is level 470, playing for just over 1 year every single day & the outfits that have vanished I have had saved for months & months until a couple weeks ago when they started vanishing It started the day after I created a cold weather outfit that had nothing in the neck - no ties, scarf or bandana just a Donegal sweater, vest & Morebay fur coat .
  4. Just change lobbies - on PC - ESC - scroll down to ONLINE then choose CAMP & you will respawn in your camp in a new lobby ready to start playing all over again - don't let them win by forcing you to quit - griefing & hacking isn't as prevalent as some make it appear - just change lobbies & carry on playing - the game is amazing don't let those who are underendowed ruin it for you ESC ONLINE CAMP Carry on as you were
  5. Panniers will be saddle bags - you should be able to buy new saddle bags in the stable under saddles section - click on the saddle you have & it will open up another menu with what that saddle can have attached to it including panniers [saddlebags]
  6. Well i did get a reply - sooner than expected - although it was pretty much what I expected to hear & I quote "n,Thank you for getting back to us. We would like to appreciate you for bringing this issue to our attention. We are aware of this issue and we are diligently working on this to get this resolves as soon as possible for you. We would like to thank you for your continued patience. We're very committed to getting this fixed although we're unable to give you an exact time frame to which the issue will be fixed. Once again we apologize for the same, and we deeply regret having to make you wait for a resolution. " What we used to call in the army "hurry up & wait"
  7. So started the day with the same error - removed 7 of my stored outfits & left me in the 1 I was wearing & also dumped my camp in the desert - it also takes all the mount stored outfits - so I rebuilt/recreated my missing 1's & carried on playing BUT when I changed lobbies to get back to my camp - which it moved to Big Valley away from my usual location of Great Plains - it also removed the same 7 outfits again - so that's twice in 1 day LMFAO This is getting a bit boring now & I will be attempting to contact R* to find out what's going on!
  8. Same again today - left me with 4 outfits in stash but removed the 1 I was wearing & the other 4 from the stored on mount list - removed my mask from horse also - still it was "don't kill an animal for 24 hours" Naturalist challenge so that was spent in the tailors shop Very poor though
  9. After completing all my daily challenges I've started playing poker in the last few days & have now visited all 5 tables around the map. I change into my "City Slicker" outfit, have a wash, get freshly pomaded or have a haircut, then I'm ready for my favourite table at the Saloon in Blackwater. So, I was wondering, who else out there regularly plays poker, do you have any rituals, what's your favourite table & lastly are you a bluffer or a stakes raiser??
  10. Happened to me today - yeah Merry Christmas Rock* - left me the 1 I was wearing but removed it from the list & kept it as the the unaltered version from yesterday [basically a different hat on my cold weather set] & kept 2 others & even removed all 5 from my mount - even 1 of the that was kept [my Bandito disguise] so all in all a weird bug. Still, it will give me something to do tomorrow after completing my dailies Merry Christmas everyone
  11. Not sure how long you have been away but a few things have been added that make the game a little more interesting:- The Naturalist role was added [not to everyones liking] which brought conflict to the Trader role as now it's best NOT to kill & skin animals to give to Cripps to create our fur trading empire but to stalk, photograph & take bodily fluid samples from all [most] of the creatures in the game, including a raft of new "legendary" animals which also have free roam events attached to them - or you can kill & skin & sell those to the 2nd part of the new expansion "Gus" for more clothes, trinkets & new bow variants - don't worry the hippy lady that gets edgy doesn't stay mad at us for long, so it's worth starting the day with a facefull of skunk musk then checking in with her later! Naturalist also brought with it a wilderness camp [bit of a letdown, no saddle or rug to perch against whilst warming our toesies by the fire] but you can cook & now fast travel in the wilderness using it which is actually quite useful. A vast swathe of new camera options to go with the role & a rather cheeky new mount the Gypsy Cob All in all Naturalist is probably the most divisive role they have brought in but the daily challenges are usually fairly easy to get 1 or 2 done, which brings me to daily challenges ...... Daily challenges got nerfed a few weeks ago - now your "streak" maxes out at 28 days & resets so the early weeks are a poor return of GB for your trouble, but it does no longer mean you have to worry that you're gonna lose your 400 day streak if you have to go away or your internet runs out or whatever else can ruin a gamers day! Role challenges also max after you complete 9 so it is worth picking & choosing which challenges you want to complete to maximise the payout as at 9 you will get a 3x bonus payout - which is nice at higher payout levels A new Outlaw Pass [No. 4] & a further 10 ranks added to Bounty Hunter are the most recent additions & also "Legendary" Bounty Hunts of which there are 2 so far CAMPs are quite stable, but you will occasionally find yourself at the polar opposite side of the map to your favoured locations, which I think is due to your preferred area being "full" when you login but not sure & of course you then have to pay to move it to where you want once there is "room" Animal spawns too are quite stable but occasionally there is a silence over the wilderness that a quick lobby change usually fixes - sometimes just transitioning thru a doorway can magically fill the world again - so all in all hunting etc is now as viable as ever. That should have you up to speed - enjoy re-discovering the "world" & maybe we'll meet one day out on the range Oh & I almost forgot - they changed the way Collector items spawn in the world to remove lots of fixed item spawns - the spawn points are still the same places but it's now RNG as to what you actually find, so Collector sets are that much more difficult now - not impossible but much much harder to get full sets.
  12. I'm sorry that hackers have ruined your play & I can only offer 1 piece of advice. When the hacking starts - usually teleporting - just exit the game - count to ten & reload game into a new lobby - don't even hang around - if you are mid delivery of moonshine or pelts the game will re-set & you can start all over again - if you are in a free roam event then unfortunately that won't re-set but you will at least not give them the satisfaction of you & usually your horse as well, being killed - if its the mid air hack just exit, get out, count to ten & re-start. I've been playing online now for 9 or 10 months & hacking usually peaks when new content drops & lasts about 3 days until they get bored & go off back to whatever it is they do between hacks. Don't let them win - log off - count to ten & log back on & continue with your play, as it would be a shame for you to miss just how glorious the game can be when you are allowed to play & roam at your own pace. Don't give up on it !! Good Luck
  13. datamining for player houses suggests they will be 900 GB down approximately & not even in the $$$ market
  14. Good News! Hunters and marksmen will be glad to hear they can take 30% off the Bolt-Action If you need to buy it - should still be good for hunting headshots with express ammo
  15. Your only choice really is headshot with a sniper rifle on a 3* Wolf - dawn & dusk are the best trigger times for me & Wapiti heading west or the southern edge of Tall Trees I can almost guarantee 3 - 4 wolves appearing YMMV Good luck
  16. OK so with apologies to any Mexican or Spanish RDROists I have had to change the name of my latest ride as apparently El Nino means The Boy which doesn't suit a mare heh heh She now has the name Perazzo which I believe translates to Big Dog
  17. They are a bit stumpy & overall they are a muscular horse, but IIRC its speed is 8 so it works out as being my 3rd fastest
  18. I don't know why but I was offered a Breton as a free mount a few days back & spent the day walking her round Blackwater & the plains there - she's a beauty & I named her Blue & put a matching blue nagadoches on her with the blue bedding roll, just today I took advantage of the 40% off a Turkoman/MFT or Mustang but went with the Turkoman, named her El Nino as she will be for my "bandit". I love the horses in RDRO, they really have done a fine job on them, but I think with the addition of El Nino I am now maxxed on horses so I'm hoping that if they add more then they add more stable slots!
  19. I read the splashscreen telling me this at game startup yesterday with horror - I've been holding out for player homes as I see it as the next progression for a slightly naughty boy to move into after living out of the back of a wagon before becoming quite rich in game/world terms, so generally I play for appx 2 hours every day before & after work & longer if I can at the weekends - mostly I try to complete the 9 [max] role daily challenges & as many of the general daily challenges as possible - I probably average 5 general challenges a day for a grand total of 4.5 GB + 1.5 9/9 bonus + 2.5 so on average 8 to 8.5 GB per day. I have now 1375 hours played at level 453 with a 317 day streak & a net worth of 1899 GB & just over $235K The Bounty Hunter is the only role daily challenge that I don't even look at unless I am struggling to get the 9/9 as they all take too long - they occasionally don't complete & just aren't worth my [limited] game time - it was like that ranking up the role in the 1st place as I found it underwhelming as a role anyway, so a further 10 levels, meh! However, a new 100 level Outlaw pass will be very welcome, especially if it introduces more harmonica tunes for Cripps & new songs for the band in the Moonshine shack - even better if it's linked to player housing for furniture, decoration or construction materials or whatever BUT I am not looking forward to the Challenges change at all - it seems pointless to change it & only punishes. as stated elsewhere, players that have put in the hours & days to maintain long streaks. Until it changes I'll just have to see what it looks like in the "new world" before making a decision on where my daily game time will be spent, which is a shame because as a gameworld RDRO is absolutely beautiful & in most cases a pleasure to play in. Oh & please do keep posting the news about updates - it is the 1 place I know I can come to find out what is happening & is appreciated
  20. Yes that'll do it alright Always use a varmint Rifle on anything small Good luck out there
  21. It will depend on the animals size & the type of weapon used Medium to large u should be OK headshotting with a sniper rifle or similar smaller animals not so much
  22. Oh just so you know - as you rank up you can also rank up the ability cards & at least 2 will mitigate headshot & repetitive shot damage & others decrease damage received if you are running or using a certain type of weapon, so don't be surprised if that headshot you send down the range just leaves someone hatless & enraged Had a guy drop a shot on me for no reason a few days ago - I think I killed him 4 times before he logged off! Have fun!
  23. Come on guys where's the warm welcome for a new player that joined the site, took the time to read a 3 page topic that went to sleep over a year ago then posted his thoughts & ideas, sheesh we're better than this surely Anyhow, welcome Tys, great to see some new blood joining the game & forums & also pushing some much needed AUS$ R*'s way - it's the only way the game can survive Hopefully you'll breeze thru all the content & the 5 roles that the game offers generating huge amounts of Gold Bars doing Daily Challenges & RDO$ from quests, all whilst exploring a magnificently rendered game world with beautifully nuanced interactions with NPCs & quest givers Hope to see you out on the plains or up in the snowy Grizzlies - just keep an eye out for Deacon's Regulators Enjoy!
  24. good observations & I generally agree with all the points made - I would make 1 point though, that Kean generally makes but hasn't, so I just wanted to make sure you understood that this is a fan-site & is no way affiliated with R* & it is unlikely that any DEV would see your questions/suggestions.
  25. Nowadays I only make a batch if there is a daily challenge that I can complete by doing so - either to deliver, make money or drink a moonshine & sometimes 1 batch can do all 3!! For a successful delivery my tips are:- 1] Locate in Bayou NWA - much flatter delivery roads although there are some bridges 2] Equip a rifle that allows the scope to be turned on & off so u can take close shots easier than trying to find the target when scoped [especially riders] 3] Always stop just short of roadblocks & kill all the Revenue Men before proceeding - you can then loot & proceed if you so desire, unless it's the 5 minute timed one. 4] Use the Auto-Drive feature - this makes switching the scope off even more useful as you can keep an eye out & go scoped when they arrive on horseback 5] Slow on the approach to bridges & crawl over them slowly This should increase your success rate - I can generally do all the Bayou NWA deliveries with more than 5 minutes to spare [especially if I don't bother looting] arriving with all bottles intact
