  1. One poster has noted that it depends upon choices made in earlier missions. Can anyone confirm? Does this mean you have make all honourable choices for first few missions? Seems odd. What if your group outvotes you anyway? I got the way of the gunslinger, what did other's get?
  2. Why do you have to mute everyone individually? Can't you change the chat setting from everyone to posse only or something?

  6. That will certainly make hunting more worthwhile, but will also make pelt ruin trolling far more frustrating.
  7. Character generation wasn't too good - hard to make anyone who looked less than a mutant. Economy is a real grind fest, and having things like fast travel locked beyond enormous level and can limits whilst allowing gold as a bypass doesn't bode well at all. It's hard to make money, everything is expensive. Theres some bugs and glitches, but nothing major as yet. Trolls remain annoying, but thankfully I only seem to meet one per every two hours free roaming, that's not bad. I expect it'll get worse when more folk are on, though. Bandit ambushes can be really irritating when hunting. The map fees a bit empty at the momemt, especially in the north and east of the map. And the camp keeps moving, is always really far away, and costs money.
  8. Ive sunk a lot of hours into solo play, and if you're on your own you do have to be careful. It's best to go to unpopulated map areas to hunt and stuff. Fast travel helps here. Also, take detours past pink dots (especially in gangs). When in town shop or stable to be safe. If possible, play at quiet times when folk are work/school/sleep. Never skin or look at map if there's a pink dot near, wait until it moves on. Draw gun and hide if a pink dot approaches. The most annoying things are horse killing, pelt ruins, animation lassos, and waving a mutual greeting to signal no interest in briefing only to be shot in the back straight afterword. I always try to harangue such douche bags off the server if this happens. Even when I've been outnumbered, I just keep turning up and killing some of them and their horses and prevent them doing anything else. I don't like such stuff, but I don't like bullies to feel empowered and unpunished.

  11. I'm not getting anymore story missions appear in free roam after hitting 75%. Am I missing something?
  12. R* social club doesn't seem to work with giving rdr2 online stuff yet - which is weird because it lists online achievements I've got in my feed. Anyone know more?
  13. It's a mega grind for dosh. There's no quick way to money.
  14. I doubt it! Do you know if there's more story mission after that, because none have appeared for me ...
  15. I've mostly been free roaming until tonight, when I thought I'd try selecting large series from the menu. It seems to put you into a rotation of various shooting games. Does it give you any xp/cash rewards? And I assume this carries over to your character when free roaming?
  16. I agree. The lack of animals, plants, crafting and selling options,shacks to investigate and the such like, makes the world feel quite empty, and does mostly reduce it to a shooter.

  18. Doctors only take herbs. Fences only take jewellery. Stores don't buy anything. . Collecting herbs and crafting is only for yourself, and therefore much reduced in value.

  22. Mostly fun. But there are some downsides: bugs map feels very empty of stuff to do economy doesn't feel quite right ran into trolls a few times, and it's annoying
  23. I had a guy freak out over the vote result once. He spent the entire rest of the mission trying to sabotage it.

There's a fine line between having a system which encourages careful play and creates a genuine sense of danger, and a system where it is too frustrating to play because you are repeatedly grief killed for no real reason and have any attempt to hunt, explore, shop, ride or do missions perma-wrecked. I don't know what the solution is. I've simply taken to revenge killing until they leave the game if anyone grief kills me. I keep a record of their name and will attempt to ruin their day whenever I see them on the map. Trouble is, creating such feuds means all other aspects of the game are unplayable.
