Cannot Manually Save

Hey guys!

So I have played the game for a few hours and have completed The noblest of men and a woman mission. I manually saved the game and started playing later. Played for a few more hours and found that I cannot save manually. It says "currently unable to manually save" and there are no auto-saves either (auto-save is turned on).

Loaded the previous save, lost the progress and still cannot save manually.

Any suggestions?

The only times I've been unable to manually save from the Story Menu is when I'm within a mission.  The only thing I can suggest is to make sure you haven't got some mission or bounty or story element active before trying to manually save.  You could also try turning auto save off/on again.  Sorry, no great ideas about this.

Same scenario as above for me

@azhar2955 - you'll need to get in touch with Rockstar directly. Reporting posts here does not make them go to Rockstar. Just send them a message and they should be able to help.

As @Dubya75 mentioned, you cannot save while you are on a mission. However, if you quit the game while in a mission, the mission will not count, and you will have to re-do the mission. I did this when I had to leave my house while I was in the middle of the mission and he to do it over again. Not a big deal because I knew exactly what to do, and went through the motions pretty quick.

I had this happen to me once or twice. If you are in the middle of a mission, either finish it or fail it.

Alternatively, you just make sure to save right before going into a mission so if you need to stop playing, you won't lose previous gameplay. If you have auto-save on then it shouldn't be an issue to just quit playing.

I had this happened recently when playing through the Epilogue Chapter 1. I thought it might be a bug. For it had not happened before. But it was making periodic autosaves as I completed the various missions. You can check when the last time the game autosaved by going to the Load Saved Game section and looking at the time/date stamp for your autosave file. If I had to quit out while going through Epilogue Chapter 1, it only meant losing the last few minutes of progress. Whew! I assume this was happening to me for it was late, and I was always in the middle of one of the missions.
