SNIP3XL
I'll go first and will make it more interesting by not using GTA Online... Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Why? Shooting, obviously. It's awesome and fun in CS:GO. If the PVP part of RDO was anything like that it would be amazing. Your turn, everyone else. I think it's a little harder than you think if you don't pick GTAO
elmZ
Hmm... This is hard to pick because so much of the aspects of other online games are played in first person. I will have to think this one over quite a bit.
VICKSUN
I would like to see a bit of ARK in it. The sense of having to hunt and gather. No I am not saying to add in dinosaurs! Just the sense of being a hunter and gatherer more. I like little things like this in games. Specially if the time frame of where the game took place relied on it.

The whole survival aspect should be a part of the old west when you think about the times. Specially if we are talking late 1800's.
Jamesie
For me it's just about focusing on the single-player experience primarily and leaving the online on the burner plates for those that are interested. Sadly I fear we'll get "Buffalo" cards or some other similar crap instead of additional single-player DLC after the game has released ala GTA V. Ignore me though as I'm an old git and I have just about zero interesting in anything involving multiplayer (and I'm definitely not subscribing to a service to get access to it either ).

I know a lot of people who aren't fans of online games. It isn't that uncommon. Some people prefer campaigns. I like a mix of both. I have a friend who only cares about online play as he gets bored playing by himself.

Yeah it's nice having the choice so I hope they bring a game along that includes a meaty campaign and online play for those interested. I guess some online interaction is nice now and then but I guess it also depends on what that interaction is. I've played a bit of Ark Survival Evolved online but most of my time has actually been spent playing in a LAN environment with my better half (she tames them and I tend to get them killed lol). Online however goes south pretty quickly with people just raiding your stuff for kicks and then the rest of it ends up feeling like a second job. This is why I enjoy Ark though as I have the choice of playing purely in single-player, in a more controlled networked environment with just very close people or even hopping online. CowBoii
I can really say I would want it modeled off of another game other than GTA. I want something that feels fresh and new. If it is the same old thing I likely wont bother with it. The campaign always means more to me anyways.

Buffalo cards are the perfect name for them! Honestly that could be it! Let's remember to revisit this thread once the game is out

Hopefully the rumoured 3-playable characters will incorporate a native-american, just imagine the cool hunting abilities which would arise from that type of character.
Archbell
It is hard to think of a game I'd want Red Dead Online modelled off. I loved the multiplayer in Red Dead Redemption and I felt it was near perfect so I'd want them to build of that, as long as Rockstar don't incorporate gameplay mechanics and features from GTA such as Passive Mode, Kill Yourself and the inability to crouch or switch shoulders I'll be happy. ArmedNAruba
I just want this to be totally original. Please do not copy off previous games like a copy & paste.

I've never even used passive mode once myself - I know that it makes you invulnerable to other players, but you also can't do missions with it on? What's the point then? If you just wanna drive around?

I don't know why they felt the need to replace Friendly Sessions with Passive Mode, there's often some guy in Passive following me around waiting to switch it off and shoot me and I always find a Hydra, Savage or Rhino Tank that will turn on Passive as soon as there about to be killed.
