A touch of Assassin's Creed maybe?

I was thinking about this and since they are playing true to the old wild west, why not have some encounters with legit people like they did in Assassin's Creed? I am mainly talking about inventors and such. Maybe running into some famous people from the times would be pretty cool. I guess this depends on where it is set but still. Thoughts/opinions on this?

I am not sure how they would pull this off UNLESS they were in the same areas. I am bad with history. I am not sure which inventors were around at the time. lol

Rockstar don't seem to be the type to care about history or facts. Just as long as the story and game play makes sense for the time it is being set in, that is all that matters. I am fine with that. Doing something with people throughout history is not needed.

Eh. Um. Well...

This is not in their taste and it does nothing for me. I was never a fan of AC either so that may be why this isn't that appealing to me.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

This will take away from the story not add to it. I want the focus to be on the fictional characters not the facts! This isn't history class.

I agree with this. I can't see any point in having stuff like this. Rockstar is not the kind of company to produce a game that will teach you anything. It is just meant to have a good story and be fun to play.

I don't mean to sound like a douche here OP but this idea does not fit the bill at all. I liked AC, I played them all. There is a reason history briefing works well for those games. They are also heavily based on conspiracies and secret societies. You are not going to see any kind of "freemasonry voodoo" in a Rockstar game unless it was to make fun of it. As for the actual history.. I am done with school. lol

I agree with the majority. It just doesn't fit into Rockstar's style and wouldn't really make sense on a story level if the game's set in the same universe as the last one.  Some parody versions of real life people might work though. A former soldier turned lawman turned showman ala Wild Bill would fit in nicely in the Redemption world.
