FLIP
Me and a friend were talking and he mentioned something that would be cool... So say you have the massive online world like in GTA V. You have a set number of people per server to keep bulk down... yadda yadda. We will all start with options to get small homes and such but eventually you can afford to buy out full blown GANG HIDEOUTS!! How cool would that be!? Remember the ones form RDR1??Just have that in the online but with real players. They would have to be smaller sure but it would still be pretty slick! Skrylaxx
This is something that I would like to see but highly doubt will happen. That is too complex for an online option. Don't forget the game itself is selling for the same price as all the other games out there so they wouldn't give us THAT much online.

There is only so much they will do for the online end of the game. We don't want it to be so good they start charging us to play it.
Hazed0NE
You never know, it may be something they do seeing as the game itself will be a lot of open land. Maybe having some abandoned barns or something be an option to buy and turn in to a gang hideout or something.
shawn
I feel like it might be overkill. I don't know. If they do it and it is done right, I am sure I would enjoy it but it isn't something that needs to be in the online end of the game to make it great.

There is a lot they can do and beyond this that would take up less room on the game in general. Having huge hideouts being available to players will eat up a lot of servers as well. Skrylaxx
Yup. Overkill sums it up. Great idea but something they likely couldn't implement on a console without charging more for the game or charging to play online.
Darko
Depsite what everyone else is saying in this thread I 100% believe that we will get something like this. I mean look at GTA Online, you have MCs, CEO/Corporations and all sorts of different apartments, garages, etc too. This sort of thing is actually quite easy for the ROckstar people to implement it seems.

You could be on to something here and I guess it depends on how Rockstar see the RDR world compared to GTA in terms of long lasting appeal. They probably won't have as much customization as most would want however based on what GTA allows they could probably add in instanced hideouts/gang saloons, etc. that have something a little unique compared to others (basic furniture, animal heads on walls, etc.). However almost everyone that plays GTA I believe enjoys getting a new shiney sports car or flying a wicked jet, attack chopper however in RDR you're really limited to horses and possibly carriages so I don't feel it doesn't quite have the same catch that will last and keep people hooked when compared to what GTA offers. #SadCowboy
Completely overlooked this thread. I agree with Darko that is is something we should be seeing with all they did in GTA V. It would be almost silly for them to not take this into consideration when making the game.
