So I know it's super early to speculate about this but has anyone else noticed rock stars sudden interest in Australia? It's constantly mentioned in single player and in online a few times plus that one mission in online that I don't wanna spoil for any Aussie's who haven't played it, I would absolutely love to see a red dead in Australia

Yeah, that would be interesting to see, but the game is based on the wild west which took place in the process of building up America. I could definitely see them adding something like that if they really wanted to because we visited places which I'm not going to spoil, but I can definitely see it as a possibility if they really wanted to.

I definitely consider films like The Proposition a Western, and I like the thought of it, but like DylBandit said, Rockstar has perfected Americana as a genre. I suspect this is also why GTA has never returned to London.

I wouldn't mind them doing different areas. I think it would be a bit refreshing since most games in the US tend to take place here unless they are sci-fi ones.

If Quigley can go down under... why not us?

Exactly.  Australia had it's own short "wild west" not nearly as famous as America's, but it's a possibility.

I'd only play this if Charles is the protagonist.  An aging gunfighter with no place in America due to his complex heritage; Charles relocates to Australia to live the quiet life.

However, his idyllic existence is disrupted by a visit from the son of a former associate (Marston), who asks to be schooled in the ways of an outlaw...

Set it between the "end" of RDR1 and the epilogue, there's a decent enough gap there to tell a very robust story.

I'd play the hell out of that game.  Let us pick whether we'd like to be the tutor or the protege, and then build in a secondary experience for the other role once the story is completed.  Hell, they could let you two-man the campaign online with a friend, each playing one of the roles.

I like it, a set of missions that go together with varying checkpoints/goals towards the end goal.  Mentor has to do X, Y, and z, Protoge has to do A, B, and C but he has to do A before the Mentor can do X, then wait until Y to do his B point, etc.
