bluntTR4P
I just want to clarify something so I am not being a pain in the butt to the mods... Are words being automatically censored or is this something the mods have to actually fix? If they are being censored on their own I won't worry too much but I don't want to say some minor swears and them to force mods to edit my posts. I know how annoying that can be.

jACKx
Well sh*t man. I didn't know about this! I been watching what I was saying for the sake of keeping it classy but now that I know it gets censored automatically, I won't have to worry about it. lol
Paladin
Censoring is unAmerican. Sorry to the folks in other places. We are not getting along, so the way one side wins is to ban what they do not like in spite of how anyone else feels. Bullies at recess.

I don't mind censoring swear words because a lot of websites rely on clean boards to earn through ads (Google is one that doesn't like swearing... big surprise right?)... But when sites start pushing their own agendas through and silencing people over simple disagreements that is just being an internet bully like you said.

All depends on who owns the site and who they want accessing it. When trying to appeal to the masses (like youtube), a simple filter might make the difference for some people. Then there's sites like pornhub that just don't give a sh*t because people will keep visiting no matter what gets posted. The people looking for that site all know what they're getting themselves into.

Paladin
There are seven words you can not say on television. if you want to know which ones, look up George Carlin's 7 words. Other than those words, anything else should go. With all the banning going on, there is going to be two of everything, and sooner or later they are going to fight. Lets avoid all of this and be civil. For the record I am a Vietnam era vet, and I know first hand want uncivil is, Ive seen it as a teenager. The current world is going to heck in a hand basket. Let pretend that we are not a part of that world, and come from a more sensible time. Where banning is childish, censorship is just evil, so everyone mind their Ps and Qs. Mazier_Drave
The internet forum, regardless of content matter, raises a quite unique problem for every single user. Because, no matter where one finds oneself on life's great food chain, you are having to deal with people you would never interact with personally in real life ... Subsequently one is faced by ideas, outlooks and beliefs which are wholly alien to you. Sometimes people do not have the coping mechanisms or social tools required to navigate a significantly mixed socio-demographic group, such as this forum presents. To bastardise the old cliche... Maybe people write your post twice, then post it once ..... When the steam has left your ears.
LinXX
The internet is a grab bag anymore. You never know what a site will do for you or against you. Some sites just fully take advantage of people and get enjoyment out of silencing certain views, words, or ideas even if the intention is harmless. Looking at you, Youtube. "Experimenting" is a looooose term.
