Please read. Issue that NEEDS to be solved

I have been playing for over a week. I finally get a couple friends to buy this POS game and they reward the dishonorable trolls and remove honorable stuff to do. I have been hunting an avoiding people to the best of my abilities then all of a sudden my posse has a bountie, ok fine i exit game i have no intentions of killing other players if i did id play pvp but no, next server i log in, bountie instantly, leave, enter again, bountie, this happens 3 times till i find a server that me and my friends arnt istantly marked for a bountie. Bout 1 hour passes an we are in my camp white flag up an everything. Someone shows up marked us for bountie an kills us in our camp. THERE IS NO WHERE IN R* GAME THAT YOU CAN GO WITHOUT BEING SHOT WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A WHITE FLAG IF THEY JUST KILL YOU BY STICKING A BOUNTIE ON YOUR HEAD. SEEMS COUNTER ACTIVE. I enjoy the game other then i can not play it anymore due to the fact im constantly marked as a bountie. I DO NOT ATTACK PEOPLE. WHY ARE THE TROLLS BEING REWARDED AND GIVEN MORE WAYS TO TROLL. THIS IS A PROBLEM.

New to me as well.  Who put out the bounty on you? and why?  I didn't even know it was possible.  I quite like the thought of  having a bounty on my head!

This is strange I've played since the day I could and I've never had a bounty on me. Weird. As was said I'd tell R* about it.

I think Chief Lung is hallucinating or straight out trolling. Because you cannot have a bounty placed on you. Yes you can be marked for player assassination in one of several stranger missions. But that is a timed event lasting 5 minutes. You get a prompt that you have been targeted giving you ample time to get away with a decent horse.

Whatever happens send feedback to Rockstar. Help  improve.

Online is in BETA stage, it is not released yet so if it crashes or things work bad we should just notify it. Not complain on external forums. In my case, well, I used online two hours max in two weeks, I just do story. That's beautiful. Online is beta.

I'm really not sure if this game is right for you! You seem like a super passive guy - remember this is the wold west. Now i've been playing alot, currently rank 48. and i honestly can tell you that i haven't been griefed all that often, sure you will get a tryhard who will try.
I have not ever seen the issue you are facing with the automatic bounty when entering a server. NOW, in a posse, if your friends commit a crime you will not receive a bounty UNLESS you are currently doing a mission.
In addition, as for somebody killing you in a camp - this is totally possible, normally you are immune in a camp but i do believe you can be lasso'd out and then killed, the only other exception to this is if a player accepts a contract mission to kill another player and YOU are selected at random as a target, then and only THEN can you be attacked in tour camp.

I Think you have actually mistaken the one Stranger mission that targets a random player in the lobby for Assassination as a bounty. It may seem like it at first but it isn't. If you're a passive player, then the best thing to do is ride fast and hard the opposite direction of the posse or player that has targeted you. Each of those missions has a time limit of roughly 5 minutes, so just keep riding away from them and keep your distance until the time runs out, then you get some bonus xp and cash (IIRC) for surviving the targeting as well. If you really don't prefer that then your only other options are to stand your ground and fight or leave the lobby.

Aye the marked for assassination thing is a real chore. I was merrily minding my own business collecting deliveries from the post office in Saint Denis when the notification popped up on my screen. Next thing I know I'm being shot at by every scrote within a mile radius! Managed to get away and even take a couple out but it's a real unexpected chore when you least expect it 🤣

Or best way is to simply just stand there and let them kill you, usually they will leave you alone after that because it was just a part of the mission.

My crew usually gets to people before they're informed but when people stay and fight or let us kill them, we just move on. If we have to chase you across the map then we will continue to do so until you leave the server.
