Will we see any historic race related things in RDR2?

Given that the media has made everyone very sensitive to race and saying everything is racist, do you think we will see anything like this in the game? A lot of was changing in the late 1800's for black Americans and I am curios if any of this will be within the story in any context or not. Back then, I think there were quite a number of truly racist cowboys. If they do include this kind of stuff, how will people react? Would they care?

There wasn't any in the first one in terms of black Americans so don't expect there to be any in the next. People are too race triggered right now and even back then, they would have caught heat for it. Just look at the news. People are trying to destroy any history that deals with blacks and slaves. The kicker is, it is white college students doing 90% of it. It would just be a stupid move for them to include anything related to those times since blacks were heavily mistreated.

No need to pay attention to it or even talk about it. I am honestly sick of all the crap people are doing in America right now.

But I agree, it would be a dumb move. They don't want any negative press for the game. There is a reason they avoided it in 2011.

Hard to say. On one hand, you have one of the most controversial gaming companies, probably THE most controversial. Bully, Manhunt, GTA of course, all were very very criticized by the mainstream culture in some way for being heavily violent and politically incorrect. And they're not ashamed of such fame, quite the opposite, they wear it like a crown.  On the other hand, there is the new Rockstar, and we still are to see if they will honor their roots by doing whatever they find artistically interesting and entertaining or if they will succumb to the status quo and avoid controversies for fear of being criticized.

I sure hope they don't do this. We have enough PC garbage in the gaming industry as it is. LET ART LIVE! What is the point of playing in a fake reality if you make it so much like the real one or conform the a set of ideals to please certain people. This would be as bad as letting feminists take away hot female characters in games. Just cause they don't want to work out or eat better, we can't find sexy women sexy. Bleh!

I went a bit off there but as for the race thing, they did touch on it in RDR with the natives and the Mexicans. I would like to think they don't avoid it for the sake of not hurting someone's feelings.

If they really want to add in the racism and segregation, then they will add it. You have to figure the slaves were set free in 1863 so many of them went north. This story will likely be down South again.

I don't think they all did though. I really don't remember seeing much of this stuff in RDR myself. But you are right, they will do it if they want to but I certainly wouldn't think they would want the backlash for it. Maybe they did and had to remove it... maybe that is why there was a delay...
