I read something about the Fractured But Whole game and I lost it. I couldn't stop laughing.

Apparently they have it where the darker you make your characters skin the less money you make and the more racially direct comments you will get in the story. So if you are as black as you can be, you will make the least amount and also be ridiculed the most.

Then they have a skit where you are with Mr. Mackey (spelling that right?) and he asks you what gender you identify as. When you say cis-male or cis-female he says he can relate to the real struggle of identifying with the sex you are born with.

This kind of stuff is hilarious to me!

Haha yeah I read about that too. It's basically tied in as a difficulty setting.

It turns out, if you pick a non-male character, Ubisoft will use the conversation with Mr Mackey as a smart retconning of The Stick of Truth.

"So the whole King and Stick of Truth thing, she was actually a girl the entire time?"

Mr Mackey then asks you to clarify exactly what you mean by a girl. You're then asked to select whether you identify as cisgender or transgender.

Interestingly, it's Cartman, normally the most wildly (if obliviously) offensive character in South Park, who points out the impact of the change. "Don't worry, this doesn't affect combat," he says during the character creation process. "Just every other aspect of your whole life." Ubisoft confirmed that aspect of it, saying that the difficulty slider impacts the amount of money players are given, and how they're spoken to throughout the course of the game.

It's a clever bit of commentary on the realities of racism, although how it will hold up over the course of the entire game (which is to say, whether it will devolve into an excuse for easy punchlines) is an open question. I do feel reasonably safe in predicting that, similar to last year's addition of randomly-assigned genders in Rust, tying skin tone to the difficulty level will make some South Park fans thoroughly unhappy. Whether or not that's a bad thing is, I suppose, a matter of perspective.

So I'll probably be playing as a pale male lol (just like in real life because I have no spine).

I am normally not one to play these kinds of games but I can't pass up the chance to play a game that literally makes fun of EVERYONE. I bet there are some really funny parts in the game just like the first one. I couldn't get through the first game without laughing till I had tears in my eyes.

They better make a game for Rick and Morty too

Oh hell yeah! I've been playing Pocket Mortys on my phone when I visit the "throne" daily but I would love a fully fledged game on PC and console. The places that they could go with the varied environments, crazy characters, etc. would allow it to do almost anything

They

They made one for HTC Vive,They really need to make one for PS4 and Xbox 1(Not VR)

I watched a play of that and it looked like fun but still only the tip of the iceberg for what they could do.

Agree on them making a version that can optionally be played without VR.

So I got this one... All that I can say is that I HIGHLY recommend it. This one is about 10 times as funny as the last and they have some nice hidden comedy throughout the game you have to pay attention for.

How's the gameplay compare to the last one? From what I seen it is a lot more complex than the first one. I am not one to typically like the turn based games but I am debating on getting it.
