I know this is not really a topic we can go into detail with without the game being near release or anything but I was wondering, what are some things you can see as being possible easter eggs in RDR2? Like maybe some stuff from RDR. I would like to see some serious messages that tie the story together as well as some funny details. They can put some really cool ones within missions themselves too.

It depends on what they want to do really. Like you, I would not mind them putting a few that directly deal with the last game. I am almost certain they will do that actually given that this is a prequel of sorts.

I want any kind of easter eggs to be involved directly with the story. Random ones that are meant to be inside jokes and things like that don't belong in these kinds of games in my opinion.

These threads are just getting silly now

How so? What else are we going to talk about? I mean this is certainly better than discussing Arthur's shoe size... Which I am guessing to be about a size 12. LOL

I started a sarcastic thread a while back about what food arthur would like to eat (to poke fun at these silly "I just want to talk about RDR2" threads), and people actually answered it.

Red Dead Redemption had some cool Easter Eggs, most of them referenced either classic western films or events and notable people from the frontier era. There were campfire segments where the travellers talked about events and characters from Red Dead Revolver which was a nice nod to the previous game.

It's pretty difficult to even contemplate what Easter Eggs might be in Red Dead Redemption II but I'm sure Rockstar will include some very clever and interesting Easter Eggs for the community to find, they have so much film and history they could draw inspiration from.

I would not be surprised if they included some Easter Eggs referencing Red Dead Redemption although with the game being a prequel I don't think they'll be any Easter Eggs pertaining to characters and events, we might be more likely to just see or hear about characters from Red Dead Redemption throughout the story.

I liked the spooky Easter Eggs Rockstar put into Red Dead Redemption. Personally, I think it would be cool if in Red Dead Redemption II at night in a certain area Ghost Riders would appear in the sky referencing the classic song.

Ah okay. Well, it is better then nothing I guess. I mean Rockstar isn't given us much to work with. I am all for random banter online.

Yup. I appreciated that they did some things that touched on classic films as well. I don't mind them using pop culture in this way. I don't think they will pass up the opportunity to do it again but they can't really touch on the last game considering it happened after this one, story-wise. Then again, they can tie in history I suppose.

Never been one to care about these. Anyone else? I mean sure, they can be witty, insightful, yadda yadda for the story but it just isn't something that ever mattered to me in any game I have ever played.

Same for me. I like when they tie past games together but I don't really consider those easter eggs. I don't go looking for these.

This is something I would be down for. Stuff like this is cool. Just have it random, have it have a little meaning to it, and make it where it doesn't always show. So like when you do see it, it is freaking cool!
